Schön gelegenes und großes Haus
Das Haus liegt wunderbar zwischen zwei fußläufig erreichbaren Stränden (ca. 30 min. laufen). Es ist zweckmäßig eingerichtet und eignet sich gut für mehrere Personen, da zwei Bäder vorhanden sind. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist gut. Schön wäre gewesen, wenn zumindest eines der vielen Messer auch scharf gewesen wäre. Die beiden Sofas fand ich ein bisschen schmuddelig und für meinen Geschmack gab es viel zu viele Kissen ;) und Deckchen.

Schönes, kleines, sauberes Haus für 5Pers in toller Lage
Wir (2Erw, 3Kinder, 6-13) haben hier eine wunderbare Woche unseres Urlaubes verbracht, wurden sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit empfangen und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Verschiedene Strände-bei unserem Aufenthalt nur einzelne andere Personen dort- sind in 4-15Fahrminuten erreichbar und lassen keine Wünsche offen. Nette, kleine Lokale fußläufig erreichbar, Supermarkt und Tankstelle in 5Fahrminuten Entfernung. Vielen Dank, wir haben es sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder!!!

Idealer Ausgangspunkt für schöne Wanderungen und Strände
Das Haus war sehr sauber, entsprach genau der Beschreibung. Die Kommunikation mit dem Besitzer war sehr gut und schnell. Grant's Mutter, die direkt nebenan wohnt, war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich und hat uns mit frischen Handtüchern versorgt. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, soviel Geschirr und Töpfe haben wir noch nie in einem Ferienhaus vorgefunden. Das Wasser fließt sehr reichlich und schnell sehr warm, auch etwas besonderes im Süden. Es gibt verschiedene Terrassen und ein Gartenstück. Im Wohnraum war es sehr hell, die Möbel sind vielleicht etwas zusammengewürfelt. Es ist ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen zu drei Stränden, die fußläufig erreichbar sind, ebenfalls zum Fischerpfad, der an der Südküste von Sagres bis Lagos verläuft und sehr schön ist. Mit dem Auto ist man sehr schnell an der Westküste und in Lagos. Figueira ist ein kleines, beschauliches protugiesisches Örtchen ohne irgendwelchen Massentourismus, was wir sehr geschätzt haben. Es gibt ein sehr gutes veganes Biorestaurant, eine Pizerria und noch ein Restaurant. Die N125, die vom Haus aus sichtbar verläuft, ist tagsüber nicht störend, nachts völlig ruhig. Aber wie üblich im Süden bellen in der Nacht die Hunde. Wir werden sehr gerne wiederkommen und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Schöne und gepflegte Wohnung
Schöne, große Wohnung, alles war sehr sauber und gepflegt, die Kommunikation mit Grant und seiner Mutter, die nebenan lebt angenehm. Ein schöner Strand ist fußläufig in ca 25 Minuten erreichbar. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt, vielen Dank!

Schöner Rückzugsort
Das Haus ist sehr günstig im kleinen Ort Figueira gelegen. Dort gibt es einen schönen Strand, den man nur zu Fuß erreicht. Im Ort selber gibt es zwei kleine aber sehr feine Restaurants. Grant selber haben wir nicht kennengelernt, seine Mutter managed alles vor Ort und war sehr hilfsbereit. Wir waren mit unserem KLeinkind dort und haben noch ein exra Bettchen und Bettwäsche bekommen. Die Wohnung hat alles, was man braucht- auch für einen längeren Aufenthalt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Vielen Dank für alles.

Entspannung in angenehmer Umgebung
Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit über Weihnachten. Alles war wie beschrieben und der Check-In funktionierte problemlos. Der Kontakt zu Grant war im Vorfeld sehr nett. Auch das Problem mit der Internet-Stabilität wurde gut und schnell von ihm ausgesteuert (viele Grüße auch an Michael aus Lagos). Wir kochen gern und haben im Vorfeld portugiesische Rezepte recherchiert, die wir in der gut ausgestatteten Küche mit Gasherd und auf dem Außengrill umgesetzt haben. Kleiner Tipp: Da viele Gewürze sowie Kaffee und Tee vorhanden sind, sollte der erste Einkauf erst nach dem Check-In erfolgen. Wenn wir mal wieder in diesem Bereich der Algarve sind, würden wir dieses Haus gerne wieder mieten.

Nice house also for a stay in winter!
Two separate sleeping rooms and bathrooms. Wall heater and all you need even for a winter-stay. We came with three adults and two 4 year old kids and enjoyed our holidays a lot.

Sehr gute Urlaubsunterkunft
Wir haben den zweiwöchigen Aufenthalt in Grants Ferienhaus als sehr angenehm empfunden. Die Einrichtung war gut und vollständig, das Wlan funktionierte zumindestens tagsüber einwandfrei. Deutsche Fernsehsender gibts es zwar keine (nur englische), aber wenn interessiert das schon im Urlaub. Jean, die Mutter von Grant,, wohnt nebenan und versorgte uns sehr nett mit frischen Handtüchern etc.. Der nächste Strand liegt einen 20-minütigen Spaziergang durch die wunderbare Natur entfernt. Optimaler Ort zum Relaxen, wandern und baden. 2 Kneipen und 1 Mini-Mercado im Örtchen. Wir können das Haus nur empfehlen und würden gerne wiederkommen.

Interesting Discovery and Quiet Relaxation in a Friendly Environment
The house is located at the edge of a typical Algarve village. It was perfectly clean and very well equipped. "Grammy" living nearby gave me a warm welcome and introduction to the house, the region , the beaches, the shops and even helped me with my throat soreness. Many thanks! I liked to eat in the restaurant in Figueira which is run by a friendly multilingual host, has a very good cook and reasonable prices. You find all kinds of beaches here in the south west from cosy to breath taking. Sometimes they cannot easily be reached. During my stay there was the usual daily wind and sun all day long. Evenings were cool. My holidays were a perfect combination of interesting discovery and quiet relaxation.

A Good Time in a small village
Figueira , a small village besides the touristical spots, is a good place for all to looking for to relax and a time out. The house is situated at the end of the vil lage between a newer and the ancient street, which connects Lagos to Sagres. It has enough space for four person. It is good equiped: washing machine etc. including a patio for exp. to have breakfast or launch. The small beaches near by and all arrivabel by feet are realy unical to calm down. After a along day in this special landscape the house will offer you a good refugio. I enyoied my time indeed.

Great house in a wonderful small village near the beach.
We had a wonderful stay in Grants House in Figueira. With the good explanations we found the house instantly and got the key as instructed before. Also, we had very friendly support from Jane who lives next door and helps wherever she can - always with a smile and some nice words. We felt relaxed and good at the very moment of arrival. The house is clean and well equipped with everything it needs to enjoy vacation. We visited the beach of Figueira (a great place) quite some times since it can be reached in a 20 minute walk from the house. One day Grant passed by and took me out for fishing to the west coast. Grant has great experience in fishing and has even invented his own lure - a lure which I had the chance to test and which casts almost double the distance of what I saw before. Overall our stay in Figueira was wonderful and we cannot wait to return as soon as possible.

Great house in perfect location
A perfect place to stay with your dog, relax, discover the marvellous beaches and nature all around western Algarve. The house is fully furnished, very clean and comes with everything you need. The garden is also fully fenced so you dog shouldn't be able to skulk off. BIG RECOMMANDATION! Def. wanna do it again.

Basic but good
We - couple 65+ - stayed in the house for six weeks. The house is situated on a perfect location. A fifteen minute walk will take you to the small secluded beach of Figueira. The N125 road is relatively close and the village itself has some restaurants. The house and amenities are best described as basic. Expect no luxury, but it is clean and has al the functionalities a tenant requires, including private space around the house. We came for rest, clean air, the beach and extensive walking and had a splenid holiday.

Proche des belles plages pour Surfer
Maison spacieuse, agréable et fraîche en été. Très fonctionnelle et très propre. Plage de figueira magnifique et accessible à pieds depuis la maison avec une portion possible en voiture . Il y a un très bon restaurant juste à côté de la maison. Typique et prix très raisonnables. Nous venions pour Surfer. Nous avons trouver l'équipe de freeride à SAGRES très professionnels Vous irez avec eux sur la plage de codoama à un quart d'heure de la maison. Le seul bémol avec cette location c'est la qualité de la literie. C'est vraiment dommage.

Bonjour, content que vous ayez passé un bon séjour et que vous ayez apprécié votre surf. Faites savoir ce que vous voulez dire à propos de la literie car nous avons des couettes dans le placard. Nous ne les mettons pas sur le lit en été car il fait généralement chaud.

We found Casa do Poco functional but far from comfortable. The whole house is in need of updating hugely, from settees which sagged to beds that you could feel the slats of the frame through the mattress. The cooker has paint peeling off the extraction hood and the kitchen in general is very old and worn. Only two towels were provided for a 12 day stay and no change of bedding. The outside space is ok but there are no loungers or recliners for comfortable use, pretty essential as it is very much outdooor living. We were very disappointed and know we paid more than plenty for our stay. Jean, the hostess was very friendly and welcoming.

Sorry you was not happy, but we did everything to provide you with a nice holiday and feel your rating is completely unfair. 2 stars certainly does not reflect the quality of the house. We now have a smart flat screen TV connected to new fast internet. We try our best to ensure guests have everything they need. When we aske was everything ok why didnt you say these things! I think for the 715 euros you paid you had excellent value so am very surprised at your unfair comments.

Beautiful, clean house in a quiet setting
Our family of 5 really enjoyed our stay in Figueira. We took a long time before booking to research different towns in the Algarve, and settled on this one because we wanted to avoid the crowds and noise typical in August in the Algarve. This place was perfect, and everything we could have asked for. We walked to the local beach each day, and then came back to the house to relax and enjoy reading our books. The house was clean, the kitchen was well-equipped, and Jane was there to greet us when we first arrived. Thank you Grant and Jane.

La location est conforme au photo. Elle est bien equipee Par contre peu voir pas de connection wifi. Quelqu'un qui recherche le wifi obligatoirement ce nest pas possible (ex ado connecté) Beaucoup de possibilités de randonnées de la maison pour aller a la mer et etre seule au monde mais il faut aimer marcher en mode trail débutant. C'est un coin tres venteux et pas possible de rester dehors sur la terrasse a cette époque de l'année. 40kms plus loin pratiquement 10 degres de difference avec figueira (22,contre 32 a lagos) Dapres les locaux cest tres fréquent Maison pour personne qui souhaite se reposer le soir et se promener la journee vers le côté lagos faro. Personne qui recherche des vacances reposantes et sans bruit

La casa está situada en una bonita población del Algarve. Tiene todas las facilidades que describe pero muchos aspectos son mejorables: en general está mal iluminada y faltan bombillas en alguna lámpara. El césped del jardín lo encontramos poco cuidado y muy seco. La wifi no llega bien a la casa. Jean es buena anfitriona y se agradece que hubiera sombrilla y palas para jugar en la playa
