Nach einem sehr herzlichen und liebevollen Empfang durften wir unser wunderschönes Zimmer beziehen. Alles ist sehr liebe- und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und die gemeinsamen Aufenthaltsräume (offene Küche, verschiedene Sitzmöglichkeiten im Innen- und Außenbereich) laden zum Verweilen ein. Annehmlichkeiten wie Shampoo, Conditioner, Duschgel waren im Badezimmer bereits enthalten. Sowohl die Zimmer als auch die anderen Räumlichkeiten waren immer sehr sauber. Mick ist ein fürsorglicher und aufmerksamer Gastgeber. Er organisiert gerne Ausflüge für einen und gibt sehr gute Tipps. Wir sind seinen Restaurantempfehlungen (Anchor Bar und Cooks Grill & Bar) gefolgt und es war super lecker und wir hatten einen tollen Ausblick jeweils. Frühstück kann sich jeder selber zubereiten. Mick stellt verschiedene Sorten Müsli, sowie Säfte, Milch, Toast und verschiedenen Aufstrich zur Verfügung. Man ist herzlich eingeladen etwas einzukaufen und dort zu kochen. Aus dem eigenen Garten gab es super leckere Papayas. Die Unterkunft ist sehr gut gelegen. Man erreicht alles fußläufig in wenigen Minuten. Bei unserer Abreise hat Mick sich Zeit genommen und uns einige Tipps für unsere Tour gegeben sowie uns Muffins für die Fahrt mitgegeben. Wir wären sehr gerne länger geblieben und kommen aufjedenfall sehr gerne wieder. Vielen Dank, Mick, wir fühlten uns ab der 1. Sekunde wie zu Hause.

Urlaubsoase mit Meerblick
Es war die tollste Unterkunft unserer Reise! Unser Gastgeber Mick hat uns vorab bei der Auswahl und Buchung einer tollen Segeltour geholfen. Diese Empfehlung hat sich im Nachhinein als eine sehr gute Wahl herausgestellt, wir hatten einen schönen Tag bei den Whitsunday Islands. Im GuestHouse angekommen waren wir überrascht von der riesigen, toll ausgestatteten Gemeinschaftsküche mit großer Veranda (Meerblick). Daneben gibt es noch einen zweiten Frühstücksraum und ein großes Gemeinschafts-Wohnzimmer mit Fernseher. Unser Zimmer war sehr modern und sauber. Gutes Continental-Frühstück. Fußweg zur Hauptstraße und Hafen ca. 10 Min, Parkplatz direkt vor der Unterkunft vorhanden. Mick und seine Frau haben eine Wohlfühloase geschaffen, seine sehr entspannte und hilfsbereite Art tragen zur absoluten Urlaubsatmosphäre bei.

We stayed at the property for 3 nights and enjoyed the location, cleanliness, design and the hospitality of Mick and the team. The fridge available for guests is useful to bring your own snacks and drinks for an evening on the balcony. Would stay again next time in Airlie Beach!

Airlie beach house was a fantastic place to stay while visiting here. Mick was so friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very comfortable. If you are used to a big breakfast I would bring some oatmeal or eggs with you. There is a fridge you can put food/drinks in. They offer fruit, yogurt, cereal, and some baked goods (best banana chocolate chip muffins ever!)

The Guest House is a true gem! Here is why it stood out for us: - great views of the harbour - short walking distance to the downtown part of town and restaurants/shops/marina, etc - someone greeted us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the house and explained its amenities - Mitch was able to provide tips/info to aid us in deciding what type of excursion to take to the Whitsunday, as well as booking it for us. He was very genuine in the info he provided and it felt as if we were receiving advice from a friend, vs. a travel agent. We also enjoyed our chats with him and learning more about Australia - decent options for self-service breakfast (cereal, fresh fruit, bread, spreads, juice) - great amenities on the property: lounge and bean-bag chairs on the lawn, a common room with a TV and sofa, 2 separate shared kitchen areas, 1 for downstairs and 1 for upstairs - access to someone who can assist in making local travel arrangements We would certainly stay here again and would recommend it wholeheartedly!

I sent multiple inquiries for tour coordination and such weeks prior to the trip dates but they never responded. Then I had to cancel this trip at the last min for personal reasons. They never offered any compensation or show any remorse to my situation but just took money. I didn’t find any friendliness or generously from this place at all.

We are disappointed in this review, but it is easily explained.You held this reservation for 4 months and then cancelled it with less then 24hrs prior to your arrival as you were feeling 'unwell' and then expected a full refund in return?? There is a very clear and flexible cancellation policy in place which you should have read and understood prior to making a booking. You should also consider taking out travel insurance in the future to avoid such issues (it was noted that you chose not to in this instance). We had received no communications or requests from you in regards to tour information, so this comment remains unfounded.Please choose alternative accommodation should you visit the Whitsundays anytime in the future.

Absolutely loved my time at the guest house! Easily walkable to downtown and the port for activities. The house is beautiful, with the common space large enough for guests to have their own space while meeting each other (everyone was lovely). Starting the day with coffee on the porch was a treat, and Mick and the house staff were super helpful with recommendations. Highly recommend staying here!

Fantastic place
Excellent stay , allowed us in the room early after a long drive . Location and property superb. Day we left we were allowed to leave our car at the property as we were on a day excursion . Mick the owner picked us up from the harbour in pouring rain and allowed us to have a shower before we left . Gem of a Place!!
This is an excellent property with a friendly, caring owner. My room was pleasant and clean, with all the amenities well thought out. The location is perfect--walking distance to the harbor and most tours/excursions. There is a beautiful view of the bay from the property with a nice patio and/or deck with appropriate furniture for all to relax and enjoy the fresh air and view. The surrounding area is nice and very quiet. The owner, Mick, met me, showed me around, and made sure I was comfortable. He even bought me a treat for breakfast the morning I was leaving. He has set up a beautiful guest house in a dreamlike location. There are two kitchens available to guests with all the features you need to make yourself at home and prepare meals should you be inclined. I highly recommend this place, and would have stayed longer had I known ahead of time just how nice it was.

A gem of a property with wonderful staff. Mick and his team were on the front foot as soon as we arrived with a smile and friendliness showing us the property. The 2 nights we stayed were great, relaxing in the sun outside our room during the day and having breakfast at our outside table was superb. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Mick's property is in an outstanding location, just far enough from the main road to be very quiet, but close enough to the main road that you can still walk to everything. The view from the deck is fantastic, the breakfast is very reasonable and the way the house is set up means you can interact with other guests as much or as little as you like. Mick is always trying to make your stay the best he can. Can't recommend this place enough!
