„i have been two nights here and was given room 2209 at the executive floor. room war spacy and as expected. the restaurant at ground floor is decent, but there are more specialized locations in the city of course. the hotel itself is well maintained and lounge/bar/lobby invites to stay. Breakfast was ritch and good. the staff i met was very well skilled and did observe the customers and situation well and unobtrusive. would stay here again.“

„Very clean and spacious apartment. Best view of Porto I think (if you choose a room with river view). We spent four nights there and enjoyed just sitting in the apartment and watching the river and Porto on the other side. Anyway, it is not far to the other side and old part of Porto, easily crossing the bridge. Small supermarkets and restaurants are just around the corner. We enjoyed every day of our stay and really recommend it. And also we have to mention the friendly, nice and helpful staff!“

„This is a real value for money hotel. I was on the sixth floor and the room and bathroom were spotless, with the rooms serviced daily. The bed was really comfortable and there was no disturbance from traffic noise at night even though the metro line runs directly outside the hotel. Although admittedly I was at the back of the hotel which would be quiter in any case. The staff were welcoming, professional and extremely helpful with check-in and check-out being effortless. „Auf der Gaia-Seite des Douro gelegen, ganz in der Nähe vom Flussufer mit Blick auf Porto, bietet das kleine Hotel einen wunderschönen Schlafplatz und ein gutes Frühstück als Tischbuffet. Die Zimmer waren sauber und sehr schön eingerichtet, das Bett bequem. Einzig die Tatsache, dass es keinen Smart-TV gibt, ist etwas, was verbessert werden kann. Ansonsten würden wir jederzeit wiederkommen. ;)“

A ponte de D. Luiz I foi construída, no final do século XIX, sobre o rio Douro, ligando a cidade do Porto a Vila Nova de Gaia. A ponte tem dois tabuleiros. No superior circula uma linha de Metro do Porto e no inferior circulam viaturas e pedestres. Vale a pena atravessá-la a pé tanto pelo tabuleiro superior como pelo inferior. Vista magnífica sobretudo no final do dia.

The D. Luiz I bridge was built at the end of the 19th century over the Douro river, linking the city of Porto with Vila Nova de Gaia. The bridge is double-deck metal arch bridge. In the upper one runs a line of Metro do Porto and in the lower circulate vehicles and pedestrians. It is worth walking across both the top and bottom decks. Magnificent view especially at the end of the day.
