„This property was very quaint and in a good location. The company Vert, that manages the property was terrible with communication and replying. Also, it does NOT HAVE a washer and dryer in the apartment as listed, it has a non woeking washer and dryer in the dungy dirty and unsafe basement. I would not stay here again. “

„This is a very unique and beautiful stay. It is a steep walk down a few steps to the boathouse and is a little tight with luggage. The washer and dryer are below the boathouse and accessible through a trapdoor and down a small ladder- it's fun to go down to. The shower is very small and you will be unable to stand upright in it- you just gotta sit to shower. Despite the few quirks, we absolutely loved this boathouse stay. „This Torshawn house was perfect! It definitely made our visit to the Faroe Islands all worth it. From great parking, comfortable amenities, walkable locations to excellent restaurants, groceries, cafes, the best part was the view from our top bedroom window. On a bright day, one sees colorful houses and buildings on the hilly landscape, but on dark rainy nights with small lights of the city, one can only imagine the VanGogh's Starry Night.“

„The location is perfect for all trips within the islands. however, there seem to be more apartments there, but all travellers without success rattled our door handle on a daily basis as they were probably not correctly instructed as to where their key was stored. also, the apartment is very noisy from whoever lives above. you hear every step, all the time. The street is quiet, but the cohabitants are making a lot of noise. Other than that, this is a wonderful place to stay when in Torshavn.“

I took this photo on August 27th in the Faroe Islands. This waterfall is one of the most picturesque and well-visited sights there. And one of the highlights of my trip! It was a dream to visit the Faroes and especially this waterfall. Am so glad I finally did :). And while popular with photographers it is still quite isolated! And compared to the waterfalls of Iceland it is not nearly as popular. Same with the Faroe Islands as a whole. And there was just a few other tourists when I was there at sunset. Also, before the completion of a tunnel in about 2006 this waterfall was even less visited as one had to travel over the mountains to get there. A much harder journey. But the scenery is incredible on the way! And even more so when you are there :).
