super Hotel in bester Lage
Veröffentlicht am 26.09.2019 auf HotelsDas Hotel liegt von der Lage her sehr gut, ca 20 Minuten zum Niagara. Interessant ist der kleine Ortsteil mit englischen Flair nördlich an der Niagaraeinmündung zum Lake. Es fehlt eigentlich an nichts, die Zimmer sind sauber und komfortabel. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und in einer Sportsbar. Frühstück mit Flair und endlich mal Porzellan Teller und richtiges Besteck. Wir haben uns hier Wohlgefühlt und gut geschlafen.

Super pool anlage gepflegt mit eigenem towel service. Minigolf sehr veraltet und kaputt. Zimmer sehr schön und recht ruhig trotz lage an der durchgangsstrasse. Restaurant ok frühstück sehr gut.

- nice pool area (bigger size than standard)
- freindly personel
- fair breakfast options Canadian/US-style
- slightly crowded breakfast area although the seating options are quite spacious
- close distance to Niagara Falls and Niagar on the Lake (no bus, only via car)

Ausstattung des Hotels ist gut. Zimmer ausreichend groß. Das Alter der Anlage ist aber doch zu erkennen. Frühstück war ok.

I DID NOT stay at the property and was charged in full for a stay that I did not book. I had booked a stay through Expedia for the dates of May 17-18. When I arrived at the property there was no record of the reservation and it appeared the Expedia app had booked the wrong dates for a stay on the Monday. At the front desk of the hotel I rebooked the stay for the correct night (May 17) and paid for my stay. I cancelled the incorrect booking date online. However, come May 20 it seems the Expedia app AGAIN had taken the liberty of booking approximate dates and booked me again for May 20, a date which I had never intended to be in St. Catharines. I was charged the full night fees debited directly from my bank account. Further to this, the room I had on the main floor was facing a massive construction area with the smell of roof tar, an outdoor washroom cubicle that stunk. and dirt all over the chair outside my room that covered my clothing in dirt. I have stayed at this hotel every other weekend for 7 months and the quality of my stays have been rapidly declining in recent months. I stayed last weekend and the entire indoor pool and hot tub area were closed with no notice when booking. The price I paid was over $300 plus facility fees despite the facility being unavailable. I am considering moving my business to another hotel in the area.

Your check in time should be more flexible. The hotel is not full any time i have been there, but asking for a hour early check in was no bloody way. And the next day for check out your staff started at 10 are you ready to go. Your staff at front desk are horrible.
