We have stayed at this property the past 12 yrs straight. Wouldn't return if we weren't happy with it. We love all the options and the fact that it's not in the middle of town. This year the food wasn't as good as it has been in previous years, but still doable.

The resort was great especially the pool area which had great water slides, swimming and beach activities for us and the kids. The buffet food was excellent even though we aren’t usually buffet people. I would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I have been to this resort 6 times over other last 15 years (every time we go to Mexico) We’ve always had a nice stay, and good food, clean beach and pools. This resort has many different areas/buffets to eat at. Never before has there been the issue with excessive amounts of dried out, cold food on the buffets. Both of us ended up getting sick most likely due to the improper food temps. I was extremely disappointed that we experienced this daily over our 7 night stay and at multiple eating locations. Will probably look for a new resort the next time we go back.

We loved this hotel! Pools were amazing. Plenty of chairs both in the sun and shade. Beach beautiful with lots of trees providing shade. Beach sandy with no rocks. Food was average. Premium liquor for drinks. We will be back!!!!

Check in was just okay, but we could not get in to our room until after thier posted time. They told us we were premium guests because of we booked with Expedia, but we were not informed by Expedia that we would be checked in as a premium guests. So we had No long pants nor dress shoes and could not enjoy the restaurants. Very disappointed. Later we got a wake up call in the middle of the night, which we didn't request and then we were locked out of our room that same afternoon. Housekeeping let us in, but when we called Barcelo premium guest serices, they said that they had a mix up with our departure date, but did not apologize, and made us walk to the front of the property to get new keycards. Hardy premium! Room attendants continued to forget items in the room like coffee, and the waiters in the beach restaurants were not good. We often waited for them to come to us and when we made simple requests, like wine, we never got it and they never came back. They need to seriously work on customer service in the area. So, I would like to know what Expedia means by "premium" and why we were not informed.

Our room was kept clean and fridge was replenished daily. We appreciated the variety of dining options, and the 24 hour sports bar had decent snack options for those "in-between" times. The buffet food was good (except for the pizza, not good at all) though often not hot enough, plenty of variety even for picky eaters. The A la Carte restaurants were a few notches above in terms of food quality. Service was good everywhere, and there was always someone working on the landscaping or structures, so the resort seems well maintained and clean. the pathways surrounded by lush greenery were beautiful. Nice long beach, with many rocky areas to snorkel and find fish, as well as some smooth sandy areas to walk in and just enjoy a swim. All in all, this resort exceeded our expectations.

AWESOME RESORT!! I went with a group of friends and we had the best time. Its a massive resort but each hotel has its own section with everything you need. Caribe is the best location as it is connected to the mall. There are awesome shows each night, buffet food is pretty solid with lots of options, even vegan & gf, al la carte dinners are awesome, beach is great, pools are awesome with lots of chairs available.. no need to get up to rush and find a chair. I will definitely be coming back

We booked a room for 3 adults and the room had 2 double beds and a small couch. The superior rooms should not be offered for 3 adults. We paid more than 2 adults in the same room. We should have been offered a bigger room. I requested a bigger room and was told there were none available. My adult daughter who is 5’10” slept on the couch (not a pull out) made for a child. There also was not enough room to open our luggage fully. I had to put my luggage on the floor under the luggage bench. The room was way too small for 3 adults:( The resort itself was great! Lots to do, great amenities. The food was OK; some days better than others. The managers in the blue shirts at the beach restaurants were not very kind to their staff. The waiters were great but their supervisors were always over their shoulder following them. These supervisors need better training on how to manage staff with respect. I felt bad for the waiters. Loved the beach, the pools, and the grounds were so well-kept!!!!

The best resort to stay at!! The resort is huge and have a massive beachfront for everyone to enjoy. Definitely a recommended resort for anyone! The room is always cleaned so you get back in your room feeling refreshed with the tidy up bed and new towels. The buffet restaurant had a variety of dishes to choose from. The restaurants options that was available was amazing! The staff are very welcoming and always with a smile. The servers at the buffet restaurant always made us enjoy eating! Thank you to Valerio May and Angel Teh for giving us an amazing customer service! The resort is so huge that you have everything you need! Highly recommended!

Lots of buffet & restaurant options. Easy to navigate and the beaches were nice. They put on shows every night at the theatres and they were entertaining. The check in process takes a long time and rooms weren't ready on time.

It is a beautiful resort easy to get around….it is a must to upgrade or you are not treated with much hospitality! Which I tried to upgrade when checking in! Was told I had to wait until the next day, knowing very well my husband would not want to move once we were settled into our room! Felt we were not treated like the rest of our family that up graded before we arrived!
