„Der Empfang war etwas seltsam. Bar Mitarbeiter und Mitarbeiter beim Frühstück waren aber stets sehr freundlich und nett,die Enttäuschung beim Check in war leider größer. Zimmer hätten gepflegter sein können,das Bad war schon etwas älter und Fliesen lose, die Ablage beim Waschbecken war sehr ungepflegt. Aussicht und Umgebung war aber sehr ruhig und angenehm. Das Hotel befindet sich sehr abgelegen. Spa haben wir leider nicht benutzt, wussten nicht ob wir da auch auch halbherzig begrüßt werden ...

„What can I say. Our stay was one of the best, if not the best stay I have ever had. I love this hotel. Beautiful grounds, beautiful food, beautiful building. I want to give a special mention to Thomas and Flo on reception. They were incredible. Breakfast to go was ready for 5.00am (we were hiking the three peaks) and nothing was too much for these two staff. Flo was so helpful and friendly and Thomas was such a delight to deal with. „Compared to other hotels in Scarborough this one is a good choice. A friendly and professional welcome, a nice view, a large room. The downsides are the room is directly situated above the bar & garden which has customers drinking, laughing and yelling till midnight. Food is ok, but not great. The friendly receptionist is also a very good escalation manager and took the parking fee off the bill to make up for the noise.“

Apparently the hotel has recently changed hands and there is some issue with the accounts transferring over so the hotel isn’t currently receiving the payments people are paying ( going to the old company).
