Staff was friendly and accommodating. Chose the hotel for proximity to airport since I had a 3am flight. (Walkable distance but not in the middle of the night) Their charge for the 3min drive was exorbitant, so I arranged on my own.

We really really enjoyed our stay at the Golden Tulip. We arrived late night into Zanzibar and this hotel was the perfect accommodation. The hotel provided a shuttle from airport which is walkable but a bit much with luggage and late at night. We arrived to a warm greeting and reception from the front desk staff and restaurant. The following day, the hotel arranged a driver for us to see Stone Town while we stored our luggage after checkout. We only stayed a night but will return again when we come back. Be sure to tip everyone you meet, they are most gracious and really set the tone for our entire trip in Tanzania.

The property is lovely and feels very safe. The staff was very kind and helpful once we arrived. Getting transportation from the airport when we arrived much later than planned was a challenge, so we had to take a taxi. No hot water in the shower unfortunately.

One disappointment: there was not at all a 24/7 airport shuttle as mentioned on yr website! NO shuttle towards the airport! Only towards the hotel.

On the Airport doorstep.
The Hotel is on the doorstep of the airport so is great if you have an early flight. Check-in was friendly but lengthy for an airport hotel. The guys slouching over the Xray at entrance need to be help with bags - their attitude was lazy and unwelcoming and let the entire team down. Rooms were good and clean. Avoid Room 104 (I changed) as its above the extractor vent and had a continuous droning sound that may disturb you too. Not a problem to change rooms.

Great location, on the otherside we tried to use the free transport to the airport but the taxi driver made us pay 10 dolalrs for a 2 minute trip. great hotel and staff but gave a litte sour aftertaste for the airport transport

No real transportation service. It was a standard taxi and the Charge was 10$ for 4-500 meters. A airport Hotel like this should have some kind of shuttle Service, and not only book a taxi for you. Otherwise modern nice hotel. A bit long time to check in. Tool 20 min, and we where the only one checking in

The front desk lady’s name beginning with R was very courteous and helpful. All Staff I interacted with was friendly. The dinner was extremely tasty. The rooms were clean (no bugs) and operational. The electric went out twice for one minute in the morning but overall it was a great stay. Super close to airport no more than 5 minutes.

Beautiful Hotel Right At Airport
Beautiful clean and modern hotel. Right at the airport. Staff very kind and work hard. Food was delicious but some of the servers could use a little more training but they were very pleasant. Downside is they only provide 1 key card this can be an inconvenience if you’re traveling with someone who remains in the room. The key card controls the power for the room and you need it to operate the elevator. Therefore, you have to keep asking front desk to swipe their key card. Otherwise, hotel is perfect.

Excellent property. Clean and modern. 2 minutes from airport. Negotiate your transport to airport. It should cost 5 dollars or less. To improve: coffee at breakfast. West Africa produces outstanding coffee bean yet the golden tulip serves coffee that taste like instant coffee. Everything else perfect.

I thank everyone I dealt with there,
I requested a pick-up service from the airport, and unfortunately, I did not find any of them at the airport, but on the other hand, the bus that takes the flight crew to the hotel arrived from the airport, so I had to go with them to go to the hotel. I thank them all .All the staff deal with high professionalism and I thank them all ... as well as the people of the island are all wonderful and dealing with them is easy and enjoyable. I wish everyone there success
