Modernes, sauberes, gut ausgestattetes Zimmer. Klimaanlage ist zwar nicht vorhanden, das ist aber anscheinend fast schon landestypisch.

Nice location, spacious room
Whirlpool in the room was a nice surprise. First floor rooms a bit dark. Room is very spacios, clean and conformtable. Nice location.

Beautiful accommodation in Whakatane. Unfortunately there is no opportunity for cooking, however a grill site is available free of charge. We would definitely stay here again.

Wir waren für zwei Nächte im sog. "micro-village" in einer der neuen Cabins ... sehr schöne, topgepflegte Anlage, hübsch angelegt mit Zitronen- und Mandarinenbüschen, weißem Muschelsplit. Die Cabins sind modern eingerichtet, bieten viel Platz, große Betten, tolles Bad mit riesiger Dusche (Shampoo, Duschgel etc.), schöne Sonnenveranda, eigenen Parkplatz - alles sehr, sehr sauber. Es gibt sogar einen kleinen (Gemeinschafts-) BBQ-Platz. Personal war super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Anlegestelle für die Boote nach White Island ist direkt auf der anderen Straßenseite am Fluss. Am Fluss gibt es sehr schöne Spazierwege! Ins Zentrum von Whakatane mit vielen Restaurants, Cafés, Shops etc. sind es nur ein paar Gehminuten und mit dem Auto ist man schnell in Ohope (NZ #1 Beach), wobei uns allerdings der Strand in Mount Maunganui besser gefallen hat. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im White Island Rendevouz sehr genossen und die Tour nach White Island war ein absolutes Highlight! Sehr zu empfehlen.

Awa is always an excellent place to stay, especially if you’re in the spa bath room. SKY TV, aircon, etc - excellent! My only gripe is that there isn’t a power switch on the right side of the bed so I can use my phone while charging it, headphones, charger and hubby’s phone (his side has C-PAP). There are heaps of switches on the bench but too far away for my cords to reach.

We stayed 2 nights in the motel and it was one of the best we have stayed in. Out of all the hotels we stayed in in New Zealand, this was one of the cheapest but what we got for our money was outstanding. A very large comfy bed,a kitchen, air conditioning and large television and a very large bathroom. We also had free use of the launderette including free detergent. Could not fault it and would recommend it to anyone staying in Whakatane.
