Laut, sauber und etwas zu teuer
Die Wände sind leider sehr dünn, konnte jedes Wort vom Telefonat des Nachbarn verstehen (um 2 Uhr morgens). Auch die Heizung war sehr laut - selbst abgeschalten läuft der Ventilator der Heizung sehr laut. Positiver Aspekt:Das Zimmer war sauber. Gesamt gesehen ist das Hotele etwas zu teuer für das was es ist. (4 Sterne Hotel)

At check out the front desk staff insisted the balance owed eas the full amount not taking into account the amount paid at check-in. After much back and forth it they realized they were over charging us. The staff was rude and made us feel very unwelcomed.

Located close enough to the National Mall and DuPont Circle to walk; several great restaurants in the area. Hotel had had an electrical fire the day before we checked in and were low on double rooms so i took a single king bed and a credit towards charges to my room. I had reserved a double room with a city view and ended up in a tiny room with the king bed (which was fine) and a view of the side of the adjacent building. I had hoped to use my room credit to get coffee from the restaurant in the morning but couldn't get breakfast at the hotel without signing up for the "breakfast package." The coffee/sandwich shop connected to the lobby didn't do room charges. Consequently, i ended up paying $800 for 2 nights in a tiny room with a view of a building and a bathroom with no towel racks or exhaust fan. The room did have a small frig and safe (which i didn't need) and I did get on-site parking included (a $65/nt "value"). It was fine just not a great value.

Overall a good say but couple of things were disappointingly sub par: 1. Despite knowing I have a 6 yo, I was given a room on second floor directly above the bar patio where dance music was played quite loudly until 11pm... 2. On the second night there was a fire alarm and the hotel was evacuated from 2-3am. The issue was an electrical fault. There was only 1 member of staff visible during the entire process, scant information was given and the incident was never acknowledged subsequently. An explanation, apology and small compensatory gift would have been appropriate.

The hotel was overbooked for the first night of my stay and I was reallocated to another hotel about 10 minutes drive away. When I finally arrived at the Yours Truly, I was given a room on the 2nd floor, right above the restaurant that was blasting music throughout the night. I was told the music would stop by 11:05 pm, but had to call again to remind them to turn the music down. On top of all that, I was still charged two nights of resort fee (USD 30 per night), even though I was technically only at the hotel for one night. Terrible experience overall and I will avoid this hotel the next time I'm in DC.

Great property to stay at and a great location. Plenty of nearby food options, metro is only 10 minutes in either direction and only 25mins from the Lincoln memorial and the start of the Mall walk. Staff at the property were very friendly and welcoming. The bed was comfortable to sleep in. One thing I would mention is that our room only had a fixed shower head on the ceiling and unfortunately whenever you took a shower the glass partition didn’t go far enough across and the water swept around and created a small pool on the other side.

I have stayed throughout the DC area, and while well located, there was nothing about the hotel that would bring me back. The drawer that appears to be a fridge is, according to the desk, a “chiller” but is supposed to be room temperature. The carpet had a large hole, two of the towels had holes, there was a chunk of plaster missing from the wall, the tissue box was soaked and musty with wet tissues, and the coffee accompaniments were open and missing items and to reach the outlet you need to have the coffee make at the very edge of the desk. The hallway was loud from 11pm-1am. Is it a terrible hotel? No. It just lacks attention to detail (like housekeeping trying to enter after I said no thank you I’m checking out in a few minutes). If you are low on options- I can’t advise against staying here, it’s fine- just know what you are getting.

I like the property and the room is uniquely designed as expected in a boutique hotel. The bed was very comfortable compared to most standard hotel beds. The layout of the room was interesting, but I missed having a closet and drawers, they provide clothes racks. Also, there were not enough USB outlets for two people. The most inconvenient for us was the lack of towel racks, there were none in the bathroom, just a hook on the wall, which was unbelievable.

Situated in a fairly quiet area, despite the college-age population from GWU close by, this hotel is billed as a luxury hotel on hotels.com. It’s got funky decor in the lobby, great tile in the baths, but concrete flooring in the rooms with area rugs under the beds. Not my idea of luxurious. Bedding was thin, pillows firmer than I like, and the mattress was not a pillow top. Personnel were top notch, very friendly and accommodating. When we reported a non-functional mini fridge in the desk unit that is the work space (the fridge is a drawer in that unit) a standalone unit was quickly brought in. There is one restaurant for breakfast and lunch: Call Your Mother, serving tasty bagel-based dishes. The seating area becomes the dinner restaurant, Mercy Me, which serves delicious “sort of South American” foods. The hotel gives one $20 credit per booking to spend on dinner which paid for half of one meal on our two-person dinner tab. Plenty of other restaurants within easily walkable distance though. We had fabulous dinners at Founding Farmers and Chef Geoff’s. Tatte Bakery is just across the intersection and has great choices for breakfast or lunch.

It was odd because the time I spent here previously was perfectly fine. This stay I arrived early, the front desk agreed to message me when the room was ready. That did not happen. After calling to get a status only after the standard check in time had passed I was able to confirm the room was ready. During this time my card had been run for what I thought were incidentals however it turns out there was an error and the card was actually charged for the cost of the room. I was passed to multiple people to have this corrected. It was also shared with me at that time what hotels.com was receiving for the reservation vs the cost of the room and what I paid. That was uncomfortable. When we arrived at the room the mirror in the bedroom was cracked. I would have thought something like that would have been replaced or removed. It felt like I was staying in a cheap motel room.

A great ambience and perfect for a staycation
This was a very nice hotel experience with a friend. we were able to enjoy them ambience of the music, the bar, and have breakfast at Call Your Mother Deli the next morning without ever having to drive. The perfect combination of edible amenities. We enjoyed the decor throughout the hotel. We parked in the garage across the street which was slightly cheaper and not a far walk at all. Our dining room credit came in handy and we were able to use it for bar drinks. We didn’t expect our room size to be as small as it was however it was just two of us and no a huge burden. The shower was a little odd as it was glass but doesn’t have a door, the drain is also flush with the floor so we had a lot of leakage even with the towel down. The staff was friendly at check in and even held our luggage for free on checkout day when we wanted to just relax and eat from CYM. I would love to return here.

The cement floors in the hotel rooms were stained and dirty, and the walls were thin. I could hear, sounds and noise coming from the room next-door. Otherwise, the hotel was very nice and decorated.

Resort fee discrepancy
Everything is amazing so far, my only complaint is that the app said the resort fee was 30 and I got charged 80 at the hotel.

The service was great because of early check in. I didn’t like the fact the we have to pay for the pricey breakfast .
