This was my first visit to DC to celebrate my birthday and Mother’s Day, the people at The Capital Hilton made it wonderful. Roberto checked me in and set the tone. He was friendly, had great smiles and accommodating. Frank made sure I had what I needed and was very nice. He had smiles and kind words for me. Frank helped me find places to eat and when my friend lost her phone in a cab, he worked to help us find the cab even though she didn’t lose it at the hotel. I am from Georgia and felt safe and at home. The young lady working with frank at the desk on Saturday was helpful and working to help. (I am sorry to not get her name) Mohammed and Kamal made my transportation requests not a problem. I easily was given directions by Mohammed and he made sure I was safe in my travels. As stated earlier, I felt safe and at home. My room was fabulous. It was clean, spacious and beautiful. The view was excellent. I will return here to stay. Thank you all for helping make my stay memorable.

Beware, new $25 fee they surprise you with. I got in around 10pm and was told that I had to pay a $25/night fee that I could use at the restaurant. I asked if I could use it tomorrow since it was late and told "no". I was later told that wasn't true, but I had lost that $25.

We arrived late Friday night 4/19 where we checked in and immediately went to sleep from the road trip. Upon waking in the morning my fiance attempted to make herself some coffee when saw coffee stains on the cup lid and coffee maker. She then attempted to shower which alerted her to the lime and grime in the shower and around the floor of the toilet. She immediately took pictures and addressed it to the front desk. I find it very unfair for someone to make a full payment for a used and partial ready room.

Staff were nice and helpful especially if you have a dog. Very pet friendly and the family suite is huge! The valet parking is expensive but that everywhere in DC. Also took 30 min to get your car at check out so its convenient that they communicate thru text with you if you want the car ready when u come down. I just wish the bathroom has an exhaust and needs more rods for hanging towels and clothes (only hav one). The hotel looks newly renovated, no pool but has a gym. CVS is also right next door which was great! Very walkable to the white house! Would love to come back!

I had a rough experience. When I arrived at 11:00 pm, there was no room available/over booked. They sent me to Timbuktu / Rockville. The staff person said it would take $5 minutes to get to my alternate hotel for night 1. I wasn’t given a choice to book something closer. What actually happened was it took 30 min to get there, 55 minutes to return the next day. I only got 4.5 hours sleep. I was late for my first leg visit of the day. Theresa was the only staff person who made this experience better. If not for her I would have given 2 stars. She gave me: free bfast, free glass of wine, late checkout. I wasn’t charged for the first night and reimbursed for the Uber rides to and from Rockville. Would I stay here again? Probably. I’m just more tired than I should be at the end of the trip and I was late for an impt mtg. I left this review to give a huge shout out for Theresa!

Great area. But terrible service. Front desk people are really nice. But no hand soap in the bathroom and no one picks up the phone when calling for extra coffee cups and hand soap Seems like they are too busy to pick up the phone. Called 15 times in a 4 hour period and no one picked up in housekeeping, room service or front desk. Used shower gel for hand soap then !
