A wonderful sea view, a large room, simply furnished but clean. On the other hand, we regret the catastrophic sound insulation. You can hear the neighboring rooms. The breakfast is the best we have had in Europe, the staff is super friendly. An employee drives your car into the neighboring parking lot. The only downside, contrary to Expedia booking, was the paid wellness area and not allowed for small children. And that is Expedia´s responsibility to describe all condition exactly. The rainy weekend made this all the more unfortunate.

Nice hotel with great view!
The hotel is according to its price a great choice. It's location is perfect: 5 minutes walk from the center of the nice town of Vico Equense with restaurants and shops, 10-15 minutes (steep downhill or via the hotel's bus shuttle to marina and small beach. The location is great for trips in the area. If you don't have a car, you can easily reach the train station by foot to take the local train to Pompeii, Vesuv or Naples or busses down the coast. The view from the hotels terraces and most of the rooms is simply awesome: the look straight onto the ocean in the morning is priceless and much better than on the pictures. The rooms are simple but very clean, the restaurant is great for dinner. The breakfast could be better if you prefer savory (nice would be scrambled eggs, a selection of cheese or fresh sliced fruit) but -oh well :-) The staff is friendly and helpful, they even park the car for you. Overall: good choice for a hotel.

OK, aber mehr erwartet
Wir haben 5 Nächte in diesem Hotel verbracht. In großem und ganzen in Ordnung ohne dabei zu glänzen. Ein paar Mängel bezüglich des Zimmers sind zu erwähnen wie Wasserdruck sehr niedrig, Warmwasser teilweise nicht möglich, Tür musste verkeilt werden, da diese rappelte beim schließen der Nachbarszimmern.... trotzdem kann man den Aufenthalt als positiv bezeichnen. Pool, Restaurant/Frühstück und der Service im allgemeinen gut. Insgesamt zu empfehlen, haben aber schon in besseren Hotels residiert.

Not much to complain about...
Idea was to find a slightly cheaper pace to the north of sorrento. This basically worked out. - Traveled with my girlfriend who has special dietary requirements. Staff offered glutene-free Pizza, but on that day, we had already eaten. Restaurant seems to be good, the Pizza looks fantastic - just tried the Pizza bread and Salad however, very good. - Train station can be reached within ten to 15 minutes walking, trains leave once or twice per hour. - The pool is good, but it would be _very_ good if there were just 2m more in length. You can even book rooms at pool level, you basically step from your balcony into the pool area. We had a room on fourth floor. - Hotel is near streets, so expect some noise (was no problem for us).

The staff are amazing at this hotel, friendly and helpful. It is kept spotless. If we were to stay longer than 3 days, a car would be useful to get around but there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance and the beach is down the cliff - there’s a lot of steps!

The rooms are very clean- whenever I walked past a room that the staff were cleaning I noticed that they lifted all the small furniture up to clean underneath and pushed the big furniture aside to clean under the chaise etc. It’s literally sparkling clean. We also got some laundry done and everything came back looking better than new. The hotel itself is good and has beautiful decor and a lovely view. In terms of location, Vico Equense is a little sleepy but has very good restaurants.

The hotel is very nice. The views the pool the staff the food all very good. Conveniently located near center with shops and restaurants bars. The “beach” wasn’t happening for us. We had to walk quite a ways to get to a public beach because Hotel Mary does not have a beach. It’s a huge platform built on huge rocks that are nicely put together for a deck atmosphere. The umbrellas and chairs and towels are all free from guests. There is a bar. The swimming area is a stairway going down to the sea. It’s a beautiful sight. But…, no beach to walk. Wife and I had a very nice massage at hotel. The breakfast was very nice and well staffed and well stocked with food and beverages. We had dinner at hotel and it was very nice. Great staff and delicious meal.

Great selection of hot and cold for breakfast and plenty of space to eat so it didn’t feel overwhelmingly busy like some hotels. Public areas were always being cleaned and our room was immaculate on arrival and when we returned from a day’s exploring. Reception staff extremely helpful, organising a hire car which was delivered within an hour of our first enquiry and also giving advice about excursions/taxis etc. Thoroughly recommend this hotel

Hotel is great. Breakfast buffet has a big variety of food. The restaurant is good but also there are plenty of dining options that are walkable in town. The train station is a short 10min walk which will take you to Sorrento or Naples. On travel days we chose to have the hotel book us a driver to Naples train station. The hotel also have day trips and guide available. I agree with another review..h Jung a water kettle in the room was the only thing missing. It would be nice to have the option to make tea or coffee between eating hours. maybe the hotel will consider it in the future.

Fantastic stay at the hotel. Went for our honeymoon for a short break. Location is perfect for sorrento and pompei visits. Food was delicious. Breakfast options have lots of choice and extensive drinks menu. Staff were amazing and very friendly and helpful. Everyone we encounted was amazing in particular mario who works on the bar. There was also another man, didnt catch his name, wears glasses and does evenings and mornings who was super friendly

We returned to the Hotel Mary after staying there just before the pandemic because we thoroughly enjoyed our previous stay. We were pleased to find that the hotel had been updated very nicely. The room was very comfortable, the views from our sea view room and the breakfast area were breathtaking. The hotel’s location in Vico Equense is preferable to us over a hotel in the busier Sorrento because it is quiet and easy to navigate the town, and within an easy (and very scenic) walk to the train station to affordably get to Sorrento, Pompei, and Naples. The town has everything you would need during a stay. The hotel offers free valet parking, which is an amazing perk because street parking is difficult. The breakfast buffet puts others to shame with just about everything you might want. My only request would be for some more vegan specific options like plant based milk, but there are enough options to please just about everyone- fruits, breads, meats, beautiful pastries, cheeses, cereal, spreads, juices, coffee, yogurt, cappuccinos, eggs, etc. The staff is multi-lingual and very helpful with anything you need. The bed was comfortable and the facilities very clean and modern. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking to visit the Sorrento peninsula.
