Super Lage in der Altstadt, trotzdem sehr ruhig. Parkplatz in direkter Nähe. Außergewöhnlicher, geschmackvoller „Shabby“ Style, extrem freundliches Personal, super Frühstück. Zu jeder Tages- und Nachtzeit Wasser, Kaffee, Tee und Obst zur freien Verfügung, top Restaurant direkt um die Ecke und alles fußläufig erreichbar. Wenn man unbedingt etwas Negatives finden will, dann sind lediglich die nach einer Benutzung müffelnden Handtücher zu nennen, was vermutlich daran liegt, dass sie im schattigen Innenhof oder im Bad nicht trocknen, sowie die Spinnweben am Sideboard. Darüber kann man bei all dem Positiven und der schönen Zeit, die wir dort verbracht haben gerne hinwegsehen. Fazit: jederzeit mit Freude wieder!

This hotel was in a very quiet corner of the old city, very convenient to restaurants and local sites. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast table was loaded with delicious food and fresh juice. We enjoyed our stay!

We LOVED this hotel. Super cool and funky. A decor. A welcomed break from typical hotels. The front desk (I think her name is Maria) was exceptionally nice and helpful. If we ever make it back to Tarifa, we would not even consider looking for a different hotel.

This is on the edge of town, so relatively short walk from parking. The staff (owner?) was outstanding and helpful. The place was nice, lots of nice details to make our stay comfortable

Much, much more than a five star experience I feel bad giving Kook Hotel a five star review because I’ve given many others five stars, and Kook is SO much better. First the staff, Oriana at reception was so warm and welcoming, went above and beyond to make sure our Tarifa experience was exceptional. After more than a year of travel since we retired I can say that we’ve never felt such warmth and welcome anywhere. Paqui. We met Paqui preparing breakfast our first morning. She was so warm and friendly, telling us proudly about her city of Tarifa, “una ciudad de puertas abiertas” a city so safe you don’t need to lock your doors. Pepe. We asked Pepe, the manager, where we could find a laundry, he responded by asking us how much we had and then they washed our clothes for us at no charge. When we checked out after two nights, Oriana gave us a hug, it almost brought tears to our eyes, because unfortunately, this level of warmth and kindness is all too rare. And if that wasn’t enough, the food and drinks they provide are beyond the pale, I particularly loved their chia oat breakfast and avocado toast. And of course, they had the most comfortable bed and best shower we’ve had in Europe thus far. They have super cool common areas with a living green wall and an amazing rooftop terrace. Kook is a 10 star hotel with a 100 star staff. We were so sad to leave.

We enjoyed this modern hotel tucked into a quiet corner of Tarifa's old town. The rooftop deck was beautiful and the selection at breakfast was great. Parking was a bit tricky - the first option was full but we found parking at the second suggestion. Once parked everything is very walkable. The staff was warm and helpful.

Great boutique hotel in the old town. Close to great restaurants. We were there in the summer and the vibe in the old town was fabulous. The room was unique (in a good way way - relaxed and casual) and we had a patio. Breakfast was included and quite good. The person greeting us at the hotel when we were there was lovely and helpful. The upstairs deck has a great view of the sea and you can see Africa in the distance.

If only all hotels were like the Kook Hotel…
The Kook Hotel was a great find, and although we were there for only one night, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is a surprise from the moment you step out of the alleyway and into the dimly lit lobby. Orianna is lovely and friendly, as well as being very professional. Rooms were very comfortable with good showers, efficient AC and good lighting. Breakfast was delicious too. We will return later this year, or next summer. I cannot find anything negative to comment on.

What a great landing spot to regroup and store some baggage before a couple of days in Morocco. Loved this little hotel, the staff were fantastic and the atmosphere and vibe were terrific.

This property and Staff are incredible ! The atmosphere is so relaxed ! Breakfast incredible! Rosa was the most incredible person , and memory for details to your needs ! Everyone here treats you like your family!! The decor is so homie !! Old records on the wall , and the living wall in the middle is beautiful! Views from roof top terrace are incredible!! You can see Africa fro from their !! You can help yourself to beverages anytime! Sit relax and take it in !! I truly could livw here ! But please dont stay here if you think you need to be waited on hand and foot because these beautiful people are incredible!

This boutique hotel was so pretty - the room was modern and comfortable, it has a cozy lounge, good breakfast options, tea and coffee all day, and a rooftop patio to see over nearly all of Tarifa. It was close to all the dining and bars, safe, and the staff were super friendly and helpful.

Greeted with enthusiasm, efficient check in, map supplied of old town and suggested eateries marked. Room was spacious, well lit and great comfortable bed, great shower. Tea/coffee, fruit, filtered water and flavoured water available 24 hours. Great roof top area to view the old town and activities in the Gibralter Strait. Breakfast plentiful and varied with gorgeous ladies on hand to assist with keeping the breakfast area clean and stocked. Lift on the premises and cooling walled garden to sit by and have breakfast.

Stayed at the hotel back in August. This is a really great hotel in a great location. The hotel staff is very accommodating and will go above and beyond to meet your needs. They offer a breakfast inclusive, which is amazing if you want to hit the beach in the morning without wasting time getting to local cafes tea/fruits provided all day long. I loved the atmosphere and the ambience of the hotel. A few negatives. The hotel is in bohemian style and I get that the bathroom interior fits the idea, but it needs to be refreshed. Our bathroom walls seemed to be covered in some spots that looked like flies were smacked there. Toward the end of the trip a door frame (top part) fell onto me. The hotel mentioned they will fix it once we vacate the room. Luckily it did not land on my head. Location 10/10 Cleanliness 9/10 Staff 11/10

Great place to stay!
Excellent location in the old city, within easy walking distance of cafes, historic sites, the waterfront and the ferry to Tangier. The rooftop deck offers spectacular views, the breakfast was delicious and the staff is excellent (and helpful). My room was clean and comfortable and well-designed, as are the public spaces throughout. In spite of central location, it is quiet. I also liked that the building seems to be a refurbished structure that fits in well with the historic fabric of the city on the exterior but has a contemporary feel inside.
