This is my third stay with the hotel, and it's definitely starting to seem like it could be left behind by the newer offerings in town, or the neighbourhood for that matter.
The developer/ management definitely put in a lot of emphasis on the decor & hardware in the beginning, eg B&O speakers, Mont Blanc accessories, automated curtains/ drapes, bathroom TV & smart glass walls. But with the rapid movement of tech, fads and high-end brand design, they do date very quickly and the maintenance of these were not kept in tip-top conditions. Mind you, everything still works (somewhat), but you just get the feel that they are not kept near to the standards you expect of the hotel and image it wants to portray.
For what it is worth, I had a comfortable stay, didn't have any issue with anything, but it just didn't wow and impress like it did all those years ago.
