Great quirky house!
Great house for a big group (we were 6 adults and 6 teens). Plenty to do, zip wire and hot tub were great! David was very helpful.

Amazing place!
Stayed at squirrel barn as a group of 11 adults for my 40th birthday. What an amazing place! Communication was brilliant throughout the whole process. David met us when we arrived and was so helpful and friendly. The accommodation was perfect, it had everything we needed and more! Everyone felt at home, really enjoyed the hot tub and there were plenty of beds, towels, etc for everyone. Such a relaxed and fun place to stay. We cant wait to return with our children as we know they will absolutely love it too! If you are considering staying here, definitely do it, you wont be disappointed!

40th Birthday Celebration
The cottage is quirky and ideal for a group of friends to celebrate together. Prior to checking in, David could not have been more helpful, answering every question and arranging for some of us to get there early and decorate the house. We had a fab time relaxing in the hot tub and chatting around the huge table listening to music. I would definitely recommend Squirrel Barn to others.

The location was amazing. The property needs a good deep clean to get rid of cob webs, food spilage in the freezer and dusty skirting boards. The property does not have a bedroom with twin beds they are twin mattresses on the floor behind a curtain. The hot tub was dirty and not sure had H&S checks so didnt use it. The garden needed weeding and the grass cutting. The owner was very helpful and really goodxat tesponding to questions.

Thank you for your fascinating review. I agree with cobwebs, 250 yr old barn conversion with ancient beans. We always nag staff to check the ancient beams. The bed arrangement is crystal clear in all info. The princess bedroom has two adult deep sprung mattresses on platforms on castors, entirely designed for children, and is extremely popular, would take a really brainless guest to not understand this. The hot tub is our most popular feature. A massively powerful wood fired hot tub, emptied, pressure washed, filled and heated for all guests. Filtered sterilised water. But, does get insects, leaves etc so a pool net is supplied. This is a really clean hot tub with beautiful clear blue water. And leaves and insects :( Get over it. Squirrel Barn does not have a garden. It has a massively used and massively popular large children play area that has grass, astroturf and mud. Might have the occasional weed. Grass cut weekly. Really ! I am sad this guest found so many faults, they seemed to have such a very good time. The guest has been blocked from booking again.

Well equipped, fun filled property. Ideal for friends and families to enjoy. Dog friendly too. Zip wire provided hours of fun and entertainment for teens and o50s alike!!

Lovely stay and great value for money
We had a party of 11 and the property was perfect, plenty of beds and facilities. The zip line was great fun. Our hosts were helpful, friendly, and informative. The relatively short distance to Alton Towers was handy too. And to top it all off I thought the price was very reasonable. We would love to stay again 😊

Great fun for large groups
The garden and house has some amazing features. Problems were dealt with quickly. Plenty to do in terms of games, and great outdoor details, such as hot tub and zip wire. Lots of towels provided. Fields very close for the dog walking.

Amazing
We came to Squirrel Barn to celebrate my 50th Birthday- What an amazing place it is. Lovely area, great house, great garden entertainment hot tub, fire pit etc etc we even had the live music festival from the local pub. Can’t recommend this place enough. We’re planning a yearly girlie weekend

Quiet getaway
This property was everything promised and more. We had a great weekend and the pub did a fantastic Sunday lunch. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants time with the family. There is everything you would need. It's great.

Property was very spacious and allowed for lots of space. There was plenty of activities in the garden and inside which good for all ages, the hot tub and zip wire definitely make it. We celebrated a birthday and they didn’t mind about the noise ect which is a good thing with a bunch of girls! Would definitely recommend this place and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Thank you

30th Birthday Celebration ......
13 of us and 4 dogs came to stay for a weekend, Perfect for all of us. Lovely big Party Kitchen, property all secure behind a large gate, so no worries with the dogs. David really helpful and nothing too much trouble. Highly recommend, we will be back!! Thank you.

Great place with so much to do
The property is a great location for families of all ages. There are more toys, games and outdoor activities than you could imagine. The zip wire was a firm favourite for all ages. The host is very responsive to messages and goes out of the way to support which is great to see. Only caveat is the sofa bed is not the most comfortable (and for the second night we arranged mattresses on the floor to overcome this). All in all a great place which keeps the children entertained so the grown-ups can have a good catch-up.

what brilliant barn got everything that you need and more are family 11 ,8 adults ,3 children loved are stay here you don't have to leave plenty to do in barn inside and out ,David owner was brilliant very helpful ,and Green man pub food was lovely ,and horse riding school was walking distance was loved to by children can't wait to return again fantastic place 😊

Family get together
A fantastic property in a quiet location. It has everything a family could wish for toy games a garden full of things to do. TV stations for all. The accomadation was excellent with plenty of space for large groups, lacked nothing in equipment and bedrooms plenty. The highlight was the log fired hot tub. A special mention to David our host who was at hand if needed. Lastly the Green Man pub 100 yards away serving good ales and excellent food.
