The hotel is very dirty and they let people smoke in thw rooms. We had to sleep wih our alcony door open because the smell of smoke feom the neighboring room was so strong in pur room. The front desk did not offer any assiatance. Definitely a gross hotel that will be used in our family jokes when referncing a disgusting place.

I’stayed here several years ago and loved it ! Still do ! I do think the rooms could use a little update, but otherwise , very clean resort with a beautiful pool and entry to the beach.Staff are kind and helpful. I would definitely stay again.

VERY enjoyable stay. Rachel and JD and all the staff were friendly and very helpful. Everything was very clean. The room smelled good and was nicely done. The bathroom and shower were especially nice for a hotel. The pool area and cabana were relaxing. The beach was among the best I’ve been to. Definitely would return!!! I highly recommend Guy Harvey Saint Augustine and frankly don’t understand the negative reviews.

This facility is well maintained and every hallway, stairway, while older was immaculately clean and smelt good. Our room was very clean, the bed was comfortable for me. The lobby is updated and looks new. The building with the rooms is older, but this didn't bother us at all because of how well it is maintained. The pool is very nice, and there is great access to the beach. We would definitely come again!

We had to move three times. Sheets had a stain on them. Toilet seat was dangerously loose. Then AC was not working in the new room. Rooms are outdated. Staff was awesome

The room and main common areas were clean and fairly updated but the hallways, elevators were dark and dingy. Disappointed at $300/night that beach chairs and umbrella were not included. Overall it was a nice stay but probably won't go again.

My daughter and I celebrated a late Mother's Day trip at Guy Harvey Resort. I planned to create a pro/con list for this review, but the visit was all pros! First of all, the stellar staff made our stay amazing. My daughter mentioned anyone who worked there seemed to actually like their job! They upgraded our room without hesitation, when they realized Expedia booked a standard instead of a partial view room. Then to our surprise, they had our room ready way before check in. (We were just gonna store our luggage and return at check in time) Instead, we were able to go to the room and change, hit the beach and experience the joys Guy Harvey Resort offered. The beach was clean, uncrowded and beautiful. Be it morning walks, seashell hunting, toes in the sand doing nothing, and countless other things, the beach was the best part of the visit and only steps away from the pool area. The Tiki Hut by the pool had a pleasant, fast, and fun bartender. The pool had plenty of chairs. Every morning we were greeted by a couple of ducks in the pool area. The room was clean, complete with a coffee bar, microwave, fridge and safe. Guy Harvey even has a free guest laundry room complete with soap and dryer sheets. Guy Harvey artwork and surfboards are displayed throughout the Resort for sale. The Santiago restaurant/bar is convenient, but explored other options nearby as well. I highly recommend this resort. We will be returning.

As a hotel that classifies themselves as a resort, having a drink station in your lobby that offers complimentary coffee,tea and water, is appealing to customers, AND should be the minimum standard. Also, breakfast before 7:30am.

We had a smoker below our 10 th floor room we complained to front desk several times but nothing was done Unfortunately it ruined our stay. Restaurant staff was very nice and food at restaurant was delicious

The reception was fast and friendly. The ladies up front were so kind. The room was clean and comfortable. Pool area is nice and convenient. The rooms are very outdated. We had to walk around in shoes in our hotel room because the floor was dirty. In our bathroom you could hear our neighbors and everything they were saying. Beds were horrible

Staff was amazing and friendly. Beds were comfy and ac worked perfectly. Asked to not be ground level and gotnmoved to second floor - however we got put right next to elevator and ice machine and both were hot commodities all night and morning long. I should've played my sound machine because i woke every 2 hours from 10pm-8am... loved the location to nearby restaurants and short walk over the dunes to the beach..

The ocean and pool area was great. The rooms and the hallways were dated and needs an upgrade. The food was delicious.

This hotel was quite a disappointment. Guy Harvey should really invest some money into this site and clean it up. The floors are filthy. A deep cleaning is needed. The rooms are old, worn out and dingy. The walls are paper thin. You will hear every noise coming from rooms around yours. The draw for us was this hotel is on the beach but we did expect more for the price we paid. The pool is nice and they do have a small play area for young children. We did not eat on site. Our partial ocean view was just that. A slice of ocean and a full view of the parking lot. The one good comment I have about this hotel are the ladies who come daily to your room and clean up and change out towels, etc. They are excellent and do their job well and conscientiously. Obviously this is not a place we will return to.
