Nuestra experiencia en Select Casa Marina fue buena. La habitación muy buena, el restaurante internacional Hermanns es excelente, la comida muy rica. Lo que sí podemos sugerir es tener un buffet separado para la parte de Select, un camarero que realice rondas constantes en la piscina infinita y jacuzzi, porque nos faltó atención en las bebidas dentro de la piscina. Y también que tengan algún maletero en el lobby principal que nos ayude con el equipaje hasta el lobby del Select, ya que tuvimos que cargar nuestro equipaje. Pero en general, el hotel es bien tranquilo y buena experiencia.

The property offered limited dining options and the experience was akin to an elementary school feeding schedule. The water temperature was lukewarm, and the cleaning service took two hours to return with fresh towels, leaving the soiled ones folded in the room until they completed their laundry. Checking out was also challenging as we were asked to return the plastic key and key holder, causing inconvenience when we had a flight to catch. The entertainment options were very limited. Despite the friendly demeanor of the staff, I was asked to wear a shirt, which was perplexing as I observed many others walking around in bathing suit tops. I strongly recommend against booking the doom buggies excursion, as it was an extremely unpleasant experience. There was also no room service. The phone lines were down the whole time when we reported it nothing was done. They also did not want to provide bottled water and they knew that their water was not drinkable. They even had signs that said not to drink the water ridiculous.

I had an amazing time staff like Isidro #1,Sandy,Denise,segundo,the hospitality was amazing I arrived at 230am,everything in the resort was closed and we were hungry,they made sure at that time, we got food drinks and anything we needed they made us feel like family def recommend and def returning the food was amazing the fruits were so fresh food was delicious rooms were very comfortable.We stayed at the Select section adults only in vip garden room and it was amazing my room was serviced and minifridge restocked daily.The pool views and jacuzzi were amazing Immaculate...

The food in the restaurants was exceptional. The food in the buffet was very good--definitely above average for a buffet, and far better than the buffets we've experienced in Cabo or Cancún. The staff on the 'Select' side were great in every way, and I would have given the staff 5 stars; however, we had a negative interaction with an employee at the main desk in the Casa Marina and Reef. We mistakenly went to that desk to check out, and she was nothing short of rude, treating us like we were her employees (and she would be a terrible boss), instead of valued guests. No one told us that we needed to take our beach towels to the desk on the Select side at checkout, so, communication could have been better. When we went back to the main desk (because it is the only way to get to the parking lot), we observed the same employee talking to other guests. She was ok with Latino guests, but appeared to have no patience when talking with Americans (and I even speak fluent Spanish). Other than her, the site, services and personnel were great.

This resort is the worst all inclusive I'vebeen to. Staff is unresponsive when asked for assistance. We asked 3 different people for a phone as our room was missing one and never got one. We had water leaking through the bathroom ceiling and had to keep using towels to soak the water because staff wouldn't come fix it. The food was horrible and the menus are very limited. Alcohol is off brand and there is absolutely NO difference if you are "select/VIP". All bars have the same cheap liquor.

Check in was quick and easy as was check out. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Private check in desk Francis, housekeeping the first few days. Im bad with names. Beach was closed 2 days due to rough conditions but very beautiful. Was great when the beach was open. No vendors but i miss having a fresh green coconut with rum on the beach. Food was on par. With exceptions that were better than expected. Don't order the prosciutto wrap. It's not prosciutto, more like ham steak. Very tough and very salty. Restaurants on the property; the international restaurant was very good. The seafood restaurant was very lacking. Mexican was in between. I did not get to experience the Italian restaurant as it was always booked. I had a reservation at Le Petite François. An exceptional french restaurant on the beach in Puerto plata. 'C'est magnifique!' A/C in the room was lacking from the heat of the day. However, just take a cold shower and cool off your body, the A/C does just fine. Room was very comfortable. Stocked mini bar. Overall, very good!

The beach and food (Buffet & Herman’s restaurant) were great. The room was always cleaned by noon. However, our room had no hot water (5 days cold showers). The room needed a paint job, lamp shades were overly dirty. There were numerous mosquitoes. The day it rained,the downspout was broken and water flowed onto our balcony. It was difficult to exchange dollars to pasos or change large bills. (We just wanted to tip our servers/waitresses/bartenders.) Overall we would rate it a 3/5.

I had a great time. Yes a older hotel but i had everything i need there. Easy to go downtown and come back. I will pick this hotel first everytime.
