In die Jahre gekommen
Das Hotel hat keine 4 Sterne verdient. Das Zimmer war sehr klein und nicht ordentlich sauber. Das Frühstück war eine Enttäuschung. Alles in Allem ist das Hotel sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Ich würde hier nicht mehr hingehen.

Sehr geehrter Kunde, Das Hotel ist 3 Sterne und die Größe des Zimmers ist gleich wie gebucht. Für jedes Problem konnte er mit dem Personal an der Rezeption sprechen, wer dafür arbeitet. Mit freundlichen Grüßen

Preisgünstiges, sauberes Hotel - Stil eher strange
Spartanisch eingerichtetes Zimmer - Bett, kleiner Schrank, Minischreibtisch. Wer's weiß mag, der ist hier richtig. Wir empfanden es eher als Krankenhauszimmeratmosphäre, es ist wirklich komplett weiss, Wände, Bettwäsche, Schrank, Schreibtisch, Decke - einzig das Kopfende des Bettes und ein Bild an der Wand als einziger Farbtupfer. Hier kommt sicher kein italienisches Flair auf. Aber alles sehr sauber. Das Bad mit 3-Sterne-Komfort wirklich gut. Frühstück ist ok - der Instant-Kaffee aus der Maschine aber ungenießbar. Das Hotel ist leider rund 2km vom Ortszentrum Sorrent entfernt - fußläufig noch erreichbar (enge, vielbefahrene, gefährliche Straße ohne Fußweg). Der nahe Camping-Platz Santa Fortunata (1 min. zu Fuß vom Hotel) bietet vormittags und ab 17 Uhr bis 22 Uhr einen stündlichen Shuttle-Service zur Stadt für 1 EUR pro Richtung und Person - den haben wir häufig genutzt - angenehm. Sonst gibt es noch den öffentlichen Bus - auch an der Einfahrt zum Camping-Platz Santa-Fortunata - der fährt aber letztmalig um 19.30 von der Stadt nach Hause. Wer also später als 22 Uhr zum Hotel will muss laufen oder ein Taxi nehmen. Das kann schon nervig sein. Für die Gegend und den Komfort, den das Hotel bietet günstig. Das junge Personal gibt sich viel Mühe und ist sehr freundlich. Es ist als Hotel von jungen Leuten für junge Leute gedacht - das trifft's wahrscheinlich auch - wir (Paar) sind um die 50 und würden eher nicht mehr hingehen, aber einfach, weil uns der Stil nicht so gefällt.

Wish it had a lift. Also, key locks were kind of weird since you had to remove the electrical key from the ring to leave the room when people are in it. Cool concept to save money for the property but a hassle for guests. Loved everything else. Great a/c and bathroom.

Our stay at Hotel Spicy was great!!! They provide shuttle service to the main area for 2 euros and it comes very often. We also did a Amalfi & Positano boat trip through the hotel where they had someone come pick us up directly from the hotel. There were so many great convenience factors and I will definitely be staying here again next time I’m in Sorrento! Be sure to check out the natural swimming hole that is just a walking distance from the hotel for an amazing free excursion!

Pictures are a lie. Extremely small
VERY SMALL. Looks nothing like the pictures they have posted. I paid extra to have the “superior ocean” room, that was a lie. I couldn’t even roll my suitcase through the room because of how small the room was. I was on the first floor and there was a lot of trees in the way so I couldn’t really see the ocean. I would call this a partial ocean view. But of course they won’t admit that. After seeing the room I immediately asked the front desk if they could do anything about it. The hotel was fully booked so they didn’t do anything. No refund or credit. This hotel was pretty expensive for no reason. Very far away from downtown with tiny rooms. I stayed for about 4 days and housekeeping only came by twice. Sliding door for the bathroom could never properly close and the outdoor patio door couldn’t close all the way. Go somewhere else. This place is NOT worth it

As soon as I checked in I was disappointed. The air conditioning and refrigerator didn’t work. The room was extremely small 11 ft x 20 ft which includes a very small one person bathroom - 4 ft x 7 ft. So the actual space of the room was 7x13. They said they fixed the air conditioning the next day but it still didn’t get cold. The refrigerator never got fixed. The only positive was a delicious buffet breakfast!

Dear Maria,we are sorry you did not really appreciate your stay, but trust us we did all the best to make you feel okay and to please you tough. The air coditioning was at its low: 19 degrees and it was freezing but you kept saying it was not enough... And about the complain for the SMALL room: it was 20 m2... did you expected a suite?We are a 3 stars hotel and we try to make always our best but we really do not understand your needs. Regards.

Personale molto a modo, ma purtroppo hanno problemi con il servizio pulizia. La prima stanza aveva la tazza del gabinetto sporca, capelli nella doccia e pavimento in camera non pulito. Gentilmente dopo che sono andata alla reception ci hanno cambiato stanza. Purtroppo nella seconda stanza c’era puzza di umido, formiche in bagno e il tappetino della doccia con delle macchie.

buongiorno sig Giovannici dispiace leggere queste cose che lei scrive ma la verita che la sua prenotazione era per una camera standard vista giardino e lei chiedeva il cambio per una vista mare gratuitamente ma purtroppo non avendo disponibilita' non abbiamo potuto accontentare la sua richiesta e in piu' non voleva pagare neanche il parcheggio del auto dicendo che non era a conoscenza di questo extra quando poi e scritto su tutti i siti di vendita e lei ci sara' rimasto male scrivendo cose assurde solo perche' pensa di poterci ferire in questo modo poco coretto e non dicendo la verita dei fatti, tutto questo per rimanere solo una notte di soggiorno e voleva il tutto incluso nella tariffa pagata solo per la camera standard.la saluto con affetto e simpatia,sperando che la prossima volta non guardi solo il prezzo piu' basso per venire a Sorrento

the staff were fantastic, as was the buffet breakfast. the bus a level 3 min walk that takes you 10mins into sorrento. The hotel was clean. the only minor negative was noise on the fri , sat night wjen peoe arrived home or had to leave early for the airport as the staircase was marble and sound was loud but this was minimal. good value for money

Our stay was nice, the lady at the front desk was amazing! She was polite and helpful and very happy and cheery. Vacuuming at 8 in the morning was uncool and there is not much around and taxi’s are very expensive but overall it was a great stay!

simple hotel with friendly staff
it’s one of the cheapest hotel in this tourist area for a reason. however the breakfast was wonderful, the staff friendly, restaurant recommendations amazing. functional hotel with slightly risqué wall art…it is hotel spicy place is a bit dated and you have to climb stairs to your room. a bit far from places but the staff will help arrange transportation….remember it’s a tourist town so transport is not cheap

Rooms extremely small from North American or European view in my opinion. Staff extremely helpful. Breakfast average ( usual cakes, cereal etc). It’s about 1 mile from sorrento and necessary to take a bus( taxis extremely expensive 25 euros for the one mile vs 1.9 euro by bus). It’s a quiet hotel and probably deserves a 2*…I was most disappointed as to distance to city, very small room( I stayed 6 nights.. 3 is more than enough).. not many restaurants in immediate vicinity although 2 related came for complimentary pickup

We are sorry to read that your stay was not really very pleasant, above all because according to you we deserve a two star rating, but believe us, we are a 3 star and we pride ourselves on this because we always do our best.What saddens us the most are the comments about the distance from the centre: the hotel is located just 1.8 km from the center of Sorrento, and this information is really written everywhere: we think it is very advisable, before making any reservation, to carefully read all the services that a structure can offer, but above all the position, in order to understand whether or not a structure is able to satisfy the customer needs.Furthermore, we don't understand why this disappointment: we have the local bus that runs every 20 minutes and in less than 5 minutes you can reach the center without problems, or again, the shuttle service that a structure near us also offers for our customers, a shuttle that is truly excellent for our customers and that makes the distance even less than it is.What we can recommend for any future bookings is to pay more attention to the position of a structure that you are going to choose and above all to take into account the needs that you have, so as not to be dissatisfied with not having services which, with lots of written, the structure certifies that it does not have but that they are still expected.Best regards.

Signor Pasquale, grazie per questa recensione, ma La prego, ci permetta di dire anche la nostra. Sinceramente, siamo leggermente meravigliati di leggere il punteggio che ci ha assegnato: soprattutto dopo aver soddisfatto le numerose richieste che aveva e le attenzioni che richiedeva. Si lamenta del fatto che la nostra struttura non aveva ascensore: questa notizie è scritta veramente ovunque e ci dispiace dirLe che da questo, deduciamo che non ha fatto per nulla attenzione alla descrizione, o meglio la Sua azienda non ha letto nulla. La camera si presentava di tipologia ECONOMY e lo dice stesso la parola: l'ambiente si presenta più piccolo rispetto ad una tipologia STANDARD o VISTA MARE e non ha frigo in camera. Inoltre, ci permetta di dirLe che se desiderava un televisore di 55 pollici, doveva prenotare un hotel a 5 stelle o di più. E ancora, non capiamo la Sua affermazione COSTO CAMERA BALLERINO: sul nostro sito troverà i prezzi per le rispettive nostre tipologie e non pensiamo di essere la sola struttura ad avere una differenza di tipologie e di conseguenza, anche di prezzo. Dicendo che non vuole ritornarci, con tutto il rispetto, non ci offende ma ci fa comprendere che molto spesso alcuni clienti come Lei e come anche la Sua azienda, si focalizzano solo sul prezzo di una determinata stanza o struttura, senza tener conto di ciò che prevede o meno. Inoltre, ricordiamo addirittura che Lei riteneva che la Sua azienda avesse prenotato un 4 stelle.... Figuriamoci. Saluti.

Hotel is based in the good location, there is a possibility to park a car just at the hotel for a fee. Breakfast is really nice and staff is super friendly and caring. Room was comfortable and included all things you might need during a trip.

Semplicità estrema
Esperienza positiva, anche se per il costo sostenuto la camera era spoglia, il bagno piccolissimo e anche la colazione molto semplice. Trovo che indicare sul sito il costo del parcheggio di 10 euro e poi chiederne 15 non sia corretto.

Salve Signora Veronica, per quanto riguarda questa Sua recensione, vogliamo solamente mettere in chiaro alcune cose. Iniziamo col dire che, le cose semplici sono sempre più belle. Ed ancora, a lei la camera può risultare spoglia, ma a noi ci risulta che siano tutte vestite. Lei aveva prenotato una camera economy e cosa si aspettava? E aggiungiamo il parcheggio: il costo era di € 20 e questa informazione, è scritta veramente ovunque! Le abbiamo applicato una scontistica facendole il prezzo € 15, ma comunque era furiosa di questo 'prezzo extra'. Ci dispiace che, dopo le numerose attenzioni, Lei non abbia speso una minima parola a queste piccolezze ma grandezze fatte dal nostro personale nei Suoi confronti. Detto questo, Le auguriamo un buon proseguimento.

A distanza di anni sono ritornata in questo hotel e devo dire che mi ha sorpreso di nuovo perché la gentilezza dello staff e la struttura delle camere comode trasmettono una sensazione di tranquillità, e poi, ci si sente come a casa. Consiglio a tutti questo hotel anche per la vicinanza del mare che dista circa 1km.

Podría estar mejor
Las personas de recepción realmente muy amables, nos ayudaron en todo! La habitación y el baño son muy pequeños, apenas entramos dos. El hotel no está situado muy cerca del centro de sorrento, hay que tomarse un colectivo y caminar unos metros por la ruta para llegar, esto nos dio un poco de miedo. El desayuno bien, correcto. El edificio tiene mucho olor a humedad!

Hotel a Sorrento da consigliare.
Camera pulita e ordinata, balconcino con splendida vista sul porto di Sorrento. Ragazzi alla reception gentili e disponibili a dare qualsiasi informazione. Colazione dolce e salato con parecchia scelta, apprezzato molto le torte, buonissime. Unica cosa mancante é il frigo in camera, per tutto il resto siamo stati veramente bene.

Loved hotel spicy, booked as last minute stop over as we were on holiday in Naples but fell in love with Sorrento. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Struttura ottima. Personale gentilissimo e colaxione senxa alcuna mancanza. Dovrebbero includere nel prezzo il costo del psrcheggio per invogliare il cliente alla prenotaxione. Rimane fastidioso sentirti chiedere i 10 euro dopo che ho pagato tutto con carta di credito al momento dell'acquisto.

Rooms need to be updated. Service at front desk wanted to be helpful but couldn't help us get tours booked and information was not accurate.Breakfast was ok. Good location.
