The house is perfectly located as a starting point to visit a lot of places of the golden circle and beyond e.g. just 15min away from the secret lagoon (a must visit!). Everything was very clean and the kitchen was very well equiped. Try to buy groceries either in Selfoss or 7 min away in Reykholt (small grocery store). The neighborhood is very quite. „This house was great for three couples. Three bedrooms. One big full bathroom with another bathroom with a toilet, which was perfect to have. Kitchen was equipped plus the outdoor grill. There were a few spices so when we cooked we didn’t have to purchase. The hot tub is excellent way to end the night. As far as location, we loved the private space being outside of town. There looked like there was a vegetable stand around the corner but we didn’t end up needing to stop. We did two day trips ...

„The Historical House was in an ideal location and provided plenty of space to enjoy togetherness. The property manager was very quick with helpful responses. One of our daughters picked up pastries nearby every morning that we enjoyed together over the large sharing table. The kids enjoyed small sleeping areas and it was just a very comfortable situation allowing day trips to Golden Circle and The Blue Lagoon. Delightful dinners were shared nearby each evening. „Ich habe selten so eine Unterkunft gehabt. Und ich habe schon in vielen hotels, cottages, etc. Geschlafen. Die Unterkunft ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Man hat alles was man brauch um sich selbst versorgen zu können. 20 Minuten weiter ist ein großer Super Markt in Selfoss. Der Whirpool war auch kostenfrei nutzbar. Nun aber zum Highlight : das Frühstück war in einem schönen mit Sonnen durchfluteten Raum in bester, wirklich bester Qualität. Womöglich das beste Frühstück in ganz Island - übersichtlich ...

„Sehr ruhig gelegen (ein kleiner Geländewagen ist für den Schotterweg hilfreich, aber kein Muss). Das Haus war für die Selbstversorgung sehr gut ausgestattet. Morgens wird man von zwei sehr lieben Hunden begrüßt, die aber nicht sehr aufdringlich sind. Kommen eigentlich nur, wenn man sie lockt. Für alle die Ruhe suchen und sich gerne selbst versorgen sehr zu empfehlen.“
