Really nice there. The 50s Style makes it somehow funny in a good way. The Historical Downtown of Savannah is just a short walk.

Sehr schönes und gepflegtes Retro-Hotel. Alle Detaills sind auf die 60er Jahre abgestimmt. Es hat uns sehr positiv überrascht. Am Morgen gab es zum Frühstück lekere Donats. Man kann mit dem Bus oder zu Fuß die Innenstadt erreichen.

Das Hotel hebt sich ab von vielen anderen: Im Zimmer sind zwei kleine gratis Getränke und ein Betthupferl. Das erste Hotel, in dem auf dem Zimmer Gläser und nicht nur Plastikbecher stehen. Das Bett ist riesig und sehr bequem. Das Frühstück ist klein, aber auch hier gibt es den Kaffee nicht im Plastikbecher, sondern in der Porzellantasse. Hier wird Wert auf Umweltschutz gelegt. Das hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Personal ist freundlich und Parken (kostenpflichtig) direkt vor der Türe möglich. Der Hafenbereich lässt sich wunderbar zu Fuß von hier aus erkunden. Wir werden auf jeden Fall hier wieder buchen und können das Hotel nur wärmstens empfehlen.

I have to admit that I was judged the book by its cover. But when we entered the room, it was so nice and clean. The clerks where helpful and nice. I suggest anyone to stay at the Thunderbird Inn.

We will be back! When they say dog friendly, they mean dog friendly! It’s a very nice hotel and ideal if you want to be close to the action but tucked away enough so it’s not super loud. This has been my best motel experience by far and I can’t wait to come back and explore Savannah with my family and pup again.

We loved this place! The retro decor was simple but perfect! It had so much charm..The room was comfortable and clean with plenty ammenities.Check in and out was easy. lobby had the most delcious donuts, popcorn, coffee and lemonade. close to everything! only complaint was paying for parking

Really great stay! My only thing to note is that the building is a bit older, so insulation around the doors isn’t great and made it easy for outside noise to come in. Being so close to a main road, the traffic noise at night could be disruptive. But other than that, everything else was wonderful! The rooms are clean and spacious, and I loved how pet friendly the Thunderbird was for my pup. The location was also amazing and super walkable to the riverfront, shops, and only about a mile from Forsyth park!

We stayed here again while visiting historic Savannah. We like the retro vibe of the hotel, friendliness of the staff, fresh donuts and coffee in the morning and location is within walking distance to most everything. A special shout out to Leslie who was very attentive to our needs prior to arriving and during our stay. Her smile and willingness to deliver extraordinary service is recognized!

The Inn was really cute and convenient to our daughter who was living at the next block. We had one issue with noise and the staff took care of it quickly. The donuts in the morning were delicious.

Thunderbird is really boss. The doughnuts(!) and coffee were really appreciated. Good location near lotsa restaurants. Room was clean and comfortable. There was road noise, but not enough to disturb our sleep. We liked it!

I stay at The Thunderbird whenever I visit Savannah. The location is perfect. Everything is always great, but it could use a few renovations. It's also located right on a main roadway, so it gets very noisy in the mornings. I recommend bringing earplugs if you want to sleep in. The donuts they have for breakfast are excellent!
