Not recommeded!
We had a room on the ground floor on the backside of this Motel. The room and facilities were noticeably dated and worn out in all areas and quite dark. The bathroom was functional. However, nothing reflected the $150+/night price point. Additionally, when we arrived, we noticed a musty smell and hair on the bed sheets. We went to the reception to ask this issue to be fixed and got fresh sheets. At 2 am we woke up because someone was speaking very loudly (on the phone?), presumably more than one room away from ours (the building is not soundproof at all). When we turned on the lights we saw several small roaches crawling all over the kitchenette. We decided to book another hotel for the second night. When we went to the reception the next morning to let them know about the condition of the room and our early departure and to ask for a refund, we were promised to get a call-back from the manager, which we never did. There may be better, recently renovated rooms. Our room, however, did not correspond to the pictures at all!

The room is near street, it is goo loud, unfortunately the blankets were not clean, there were hairs on them. The rest room was bad. No closet and table is available.

The place is a remodeled older motel from the 50's It is very clean and nice. the rooms are extra small and the issues were a broken tv, the refrigerator was warm when we arrived and the room had no table or chair. The kitchen had no kitchen stuff, pots, pans or plates etc. There were a lot of extra charges that were not listed on the website for pets and they charged extra for house cleaning.

Great rest break near to city centre & other attractions. Staff were friendly & helpful. Room was very spacious with large, comfortable bed & tv. The hotel had everything we needed. Bathroom could do with a little mend as one of the fixtures were loose but, apart from this we were all set. Parking was near to our door. Very good price for the night as well. Thanks

Staff were annoying trying to charge for anything. They charged $10 for internet that was never used. The property details states they’re pet friendly but charge a pet fee. Staff is overbearing and there’s no privacy. Very noisy in the mornings.

Very clean rooms and recently renovated it seemed. Definitely higher quality for an affordable rate. The area is much nicer then staying close to the airport on the opposite end closer to downtown. Less homeless and crime. Loads of restaurants and shopping. Also, just a block away from fisherman’s wharf.

Everything was great. The wifi password was confusing and the office hours were not convenient to resolve this. The parking lot was too small and had to park on the street. There was mildew under the bathroom sink. Otherwise it was clean, safe, quiet, perfect for my needs.

Was charged for 2 queen beds , was given 2 xl twin , bathroon door did not close , no chair or luggage stool and have to place belongings on floor . only one outlet near mini fridge that do not cool. , night side lamp did not work , Bed only had flimsy blnket no comferter,Clock /alarm not working ,had to give another $50 when checking in despite alredy paying for room . Hasseled over service dog .

I booked a room, it looked okay on Expedia. When I arrived I was told my room is "over there, around the corner to the right." It was in an alleyway that looked super unsafe. Had a no tell motel vibe. The room was very small, not even a chair to sit in or small table but a huge dresser lol. the kitchenette lacked pans and silverware, glasses and cups. Basically, this room was nothing like what I saw in the add. So after 30 minutes I cancelled and left. I felt that I was mislead, that the location of the room was super sketch and knew that it was going to be an unenjoyable stay. I asked Expedia to negotiate with the owners for a refund even if partial. Pt Loma Hotel refused any compensation even though I never stayed there. Moving forward, I will deal with with my credit card company. My advice, don't stay here even in a pinch and if you think it couldn't be that bad see for yourself before you pay. I would not have stayed in the room they gave me even if it was free.

I loved the staff and they were very accommodating. The room was clean and if u want to do a later check out they qill do thier best to make sure everything can be possible. The gueat on the top floor werent so much of a big help but it qill do. Probably get a room in the upstairs next time.

Fair stay.
Overall the property needs a face lift. There's good potential in making this hotel that small & quaint place to stay. The upstairs balcony can fit some outdoor furniture with outdoor lighting lamps. The room that I was in was large for one person, however, there was no closet, dresser, desk with chair to study. The lamp shade was missing its swivel , thus causing the shade to fall off. The bathroom definitely needs alot of improvement.

Hotel was close to the event we were attending. Manager Neil was very courteous and friendly. The front door was missing bottom weatherstripping so cold air can come in. Air conditioner was louder than normal it seemed and there was a lot of noise coming from neighbors and vehicles.-more than we were accustomed to.

Even though it stated that parking was included there was no parking available. I was traveling with my baby so I requested a non-smoking room, when we got the room it smelled like smoke and had cigarette burns in the sofa, when I asked to change rooms the staff told me that it used to be a smoking room but they could asure me that nobody had smoked there in the last 6 months…they didn’t let me change rooms.

The set up was great. There was a cook top, microwave, sink and small refrigerator. The bed was average comfort however there was only ONE pillow. The room was very clean. The guy that checked me is was super friendly as was the cleaning lady. I would definitely stay here again, definitely for the price point of a last minute overnight stay,
