The hotel has a perfect location in the heart of Old Town San Diego. The hotel was clean, everyone was friendly. The room is a bit outdated and in my opinion a bit overpriced.

We try to stay here whenever we visit San Diego (about once a year). Usually great - this time, not so much. WiFi out the entire time - they offered to let me into a conference room, but that is not acceptable when one is planning on working at odd hours. No discount offered - just excuses & apologies. Also - the heating & cooling controls are overly complex. Need sink written instructions

We stayed here to be close to MCRD to see my nephew graduate Marine bootcamp. The property and scenery were absolutely beautiful. I loved everything about this place. I would definitely recommend this place. It is walking distance from all the shops in Old Town. The whole experience was great.

The property is spread out and confusing. We had a comfortable nights sleep but could hear other room and outside noise. The room was clean but very dated and failing grout and peeling stucco walls in places are hard to miss.

We love this hotel! It’s a beautiful land mark in old town and is the center of all the great places! There is a lot of outside noise because of the location but they do provide ear plugs which was nice! Love this hotel! Definitely will be back!

The place is very well maintained given its age. I did not like that elevators are not accessible to every floor. I happened to travel with alot of luggage due to an event we were attending so taking it up the stairs was challenging. No bell boy or carts were offered.
