Es stimmt, unsere Zimmer sind dank unserer schallisolierten Fenster sehr ruhig, und noch mehr gilt für Ihre Luxury Bayside-Zimmer mit Terrasse und King-Size-Bett, die Sie ausgewählt haben.Es stimmt, dass unser Pool eher ein Gesprächspool mit atemberaubendem Blick auf die Bucht als ein Swimmingpool ist, aber dort nach einem langen Tag in dieser geschäftigen Stadt einen Caipirinha zu schlürfen, ist bei unseren Gästen normalerweise sehr beliebt! Tatsächlich war es äußerst schwierig, die örtlichen Behörden davon zu überzeugen, dieses Schwimmbad in einem historischen Gebäude zu bauen. Und wir haben die maximal mögliche Größe erreicht; aber es hat den Vorteil, dass es existiert, genau wie unser kleiner Aufzug!

Very attractive boutique hotel
We passed several days in the hotel. It is situated in the historic old town of Bahia with views on the harbour. It is fairly new, has been attractively renovated in a previously run down neigbourhood and is extremely well managed by its owners and a dedicated staff. It is in walking distance of the major places of interest of the old town and - taking the spectacular elevator - the harbour quarters. As parts of the old town is still in the process of being rejuvenated, there are some areas where there is a risk of being stolen can not be discarded (as in most Brazilian cities). These areas are, however, correctly identified by the hotel staff to clients. Overall highly recommended and we hope to be back one of these days.

Wunderbares Hotel im Stadtteil Pelourinho
(English version see below.) Das 'Casa do Amarelindo' ist ein wunderbares Hotel mitten im Stadtteil Pelourinho (= historisches Zentrum). Die Anfahrt ist sowohl über den Abholservice als auch mittels Taxi zum Platz 'Terreiro de Jesus' möglich (da das 'Historical Center' selbst für Verkehr gesperrt ist). Das Hotel ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und bietet ein Restaurant im Innenhof, einen kleinen Außenpool und eine Dachterrassen-Bar (die beiden letzteren mit schönem Blick auf Meer und Unterstadt). Das Personal war extrem freundlich und herzlich und hat uns mit guten Tipps versorgt, was wir uns unbedingt ansehen und welche Straßen wir besser meiden sollten. ---------------------------------------------------- The 'Casa do Amarelindo' is a wonderful hotel in the middle of the Pelourinho destrict (= historical center). It is possible to get there by pick-up service or by taxi to 'Terreiro de Jesus' square (as the 'Historical Center' is closed for cars). The hotel is decorated tastefully and offers a restaurant in the inner courtyard, a small ourdoor-pool and a bar on the roof terrace (the last two provide a nice view of sea and lower city). The staff was extremely friendly and sincere and gave us good advice what to see and which areas better to avoid.

Melhor hotel no coração de Salvador
Passar o carnaval hospedada no Casa do Amarelindo foi uma experiência inesquecível. O hotel está localizado no coração do Pelourinho, então bastava uma pequena caminhada para chegarmos ao meio da festa. Além disso, os principais pontos turísticos são todos de fácil acesso, como o Mercado Modelo e o bairro de Santo Antônio. O conforto do quarto era perfeito, com camas confortáveis e lençóis de alta qualidade. O banheiro era antigo, mas todo bem conservado e com a área do banho renovada. Olha, que experiência. Agradeço à simpatia dos proprietários e dos funcionários, em especial ao Luis da recepção que fala um inglês impecável e ajudou muito ao meu amigo americano. Obrigada, obrigada, obrigada! Amazing location & staff
Our stay at Casa do Amarelindo was great. We arrived during the middle of carnival and the front desk staff was very welcoming provided us with all of the information we needed to get around and enjoy the festivities. The hotel has a great location, a nice pool and lovely restaurant and bar with equally great staff. Big thank you to Luis & Rodrigo for being great hosts. I only wish we had planned to stay for longer.

Absolutely beautiful surroundings and buildings around with plenty of history and character. The staff were welcoming, helpful, and informative. Absolutely amazing experience. There are areas which are not safe to go around but are clearly mentioned during the welcome, so we were well informed by the staff. The city is beautiful, and we definitely recommend the tours that are on offer. Top recommendation we would have is the tours of the churches and local areas, as there is lots of history to learn of not only how Salvador became, but also the roots of Brazil. We absolutely loved the whole experience.

Quel petit hôtel merveilleux. De belles chambres bien soignées avec une litterie très confortable. Le personnel de la réception est accueillant et fait tout pour rendre le séjour à Salvador exceptionnel. Tout le personnel est charmant, discret et attentionné. La cuisine du restaurant est succulente. De belles saveurs Brésiliennes et internationales dans un cadre tranquille, reposant et super bien décoré. Félicitations à toute l’équipe de la cuisine et du bar pour la qualité et le professionnalisme. Et je ne peux conclure que par féliciter le patron Gilles pour son accueil, ses attentions et conseils. Loved this place! Wish I had a longer stay!
Perfectly located property in Pelourinho. Wish I could have stayed longer. So Many great things to say about this hotel. The staff is great(everyone I encountered was helpful and pleasant), the decor is very tasteful and the rooms are comfortable. The breakfast included was a plus. I’d definitely stay here again if I visited. Good walking distance from a lot of the cool shops and sites to see. Highly recommend!!!

O hotel é maravilhoso, o quarto é confortável, espaçoso, o banheiro é incrível também. O restaurante do hotel também merece destaque. Mas o maior diferencial de fato é o acolhimento. Meninos maravilhosos, muitos gentis e sempre prestativos: Rodrigo, Jorge, Elder e todos os outros.

This hotel is in a very central location in the pelhourinho with easy walking distance to all the main attractions of the historical centre. The hotel itself is very comfortable with all the amenities you could expect from a good townhouse hotel in a historical building. It has loads of charm. Best of all are the staff who are genuinely warm and friendly and helped js with whatever we asked right through from the time we booked to when we checked out. If I were to go back to Salvador again - and I really hope I do - then I wouldn’t look any further than Casa Do Amarelindo.
