Tolle Unterkunft mit Blick auf Tee 1 und Green 9. Debbie ist eine hervorragende Gastgeberin, die die St. Francis Lodge mit viel Herzblut führt.

Ein wunderschöner Ort den wir nicht vergessen werden. Der Blick auf den Golfplatz zum Meer ist kaum mehr zu überbieten. Wir haben uns sehr, sehr wohlgefühlt.

Einfach super!
Das sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtete B&B hat 10 sehr geräumige Schlafzimmer mit großen Badezimmer. Diese Zimmer sind auf 2 Häuser aufgeteilt und jedes Haus hat ein riesiges Ess- und Wohnzimmer mit je einer großzügigen Terrasse. Ebenso ist ein Pool mit Liegen vorhanden. Es ist sehr gepflegt und steht den Gästen zur Verfügung. Das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet. Kompetent und sehr freundlich betreut Frau Elmar ihre Gäste. Die St. Francis Golf Lodge war unser schönster Aufenthalt auf der Garden Route.

Die Anlage ist zwar schon rund 10 Jahre alt, aber absolut sehr gut in Schuss. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr freundlich und behilflich. Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und schön. Tolles Frühstück, auch für Nichtgolfer geeignet. Werden hier sicherlich gerne wieder vorbeikommen. Für Golfer, der Platz ist sehr schön und gepflegt, gehört zu den Top 10 in Südafrika. The golf lodge was amazing - Views over the 1st tee and 9th green - Rooms and clubhouse were done to a very high standard and Debbie the golf manageress was amazing - she even booked us a meal at a local restaurant which was lovely and the owners came and picked you up and dropped you off. Would highly recommend - Chris from UK

Great place and outstanding fruit salad
For us, even as non-golfers, this was the best place to stay in the St Francis area, especially also because the weather was not great, so the beach was not much of an attraction. Great welcome by Elma who gave us the info we needed for the area. Very comfortable bed, great view onto the golf course (we had an upstairs unit, highly recommended), spacious bathroom, we could not have asked for more. And then there is breakfast: We were offered the best fruit salad at any place we have ever stayed at (and we travel a lot). For once there was not just cheap fruit (like apples, oranges and banana) with a bit of tropical fruit as decoration. Everything that is in season at the moment (and it is summer after all), was to be found in this salad. 5* for that. We did not have eggs, so I cannot comment on that. If we ever come into the St Francis area, we will not consider any other place to stay. We also enjoyed a nice walk around the golf course (ParkRun route), right from our doorstep.

Would not hurry back
When we got to the gate to check they sent us to the club house. I explained that I was checking in and they had no clue about my stay. Rather decided to tell me to come at 18:30 when I asked what for they told me dinner. I explained again that I wanted to check in and was told to go back to the entrance gate to get me key. What an absolute waste of my time and told them that they were incompetent.

Dear Rosemary I'm sorry that your bad check-in experience with the Links Security and the staff at the Club House left such a bad impression, BUT please note that St Francis Golf Lodge is a privately owned business operating on the Estate and The Links staff at the Clubhouse would not have been aware of your arrival OR would have been able to check you in at the lodge. The only option they had was to send you back to the security gate. We supply the security staff in advance with a list names of the guests checking in together with key cards with the guests names and room numbers on it. The key card has a map and directions to the lodge and the room keys and a security access card, to open the boom gate, is attached to this card. To my knowledge everyone arriving at the gate are asked what the purpose of their visit is and if the guards are told that the people are staying at St Francis Golf Lodge, they will check the names on their list, hand over the key card to the guests and then phone the lodge to announce their arrival. Either myself or one of my staff members await the arrival of the guest in the parking area of the lodge and direct them to the house & room the will be staying in. I personally welcomed you to the lodge and apologized for the inconvenience cause. I did not get to speak to you again as you left without checking out and you did not answer my e-mail re not getting the opportunity to thank you for choosing to stay at St Francis Golf Lodge. This system has failed us before, mostly due to the security guards having problems with the foreign accents of many of our visitors, but in most cases our guests arrive at the lodge without and problems. I trust that your unfortunate experience will not influence others when planning a trip to St Francis Golf Lodge and St Francis Links. Kind Regards Elma
