Positiv war der große Parkplatz am Gebäude und die Nähe zum Zentrum. Der Preis war verhältnismäßig günstig, ABER: Unschön war das Zimmer im Keller - Fenster Bodenhöhe Gehweg. Kühlschrank war schmutzig. Das Waschbecken so winzig, dass waschen oder Zähne putzen schwierig war. Macht einen ziemlich herunter gekommenen Eindruck.

The apartment was a littke smaller than expected from the pictures but it was clean and the bed comfortable. Out the back there is a construction site, which was a bit uncomfortable because the workers could look into our room once we opened the curtains and we did not want to live in only artificial light. The apartment did only have basic equipment, no coffe or tea bags which I had hoped for and only salt, no oil can or anything. So if you want to cook bring you own. Otherwise it‘s location is very convenient. You can walk to the sights or drive, both works fine.

Wir hatten ein grosszügiges Apartment für 4 Nächte. Prinzipiell war die Sauberkeit gut, allerdings sollten Regal- und Schrankbretter sowie Fensterbänke auch ab und zu gesäubert werden. Die Lage ist sehr gut, da die Innenstadt von Reykjavik zu Fuß gut erreichbar ist. Parkplatz vor dem Haus zu finden war auch kein Problem. Alles in Allem ein schöner Aufenthalt.

The location is near the center of the city, but it was calm enough to sleep well. But we missed some scissors and a small, sharp knife. You can't open the drawers of the wardrobe properly, because it's placed too close to the entrance door.

Super tolle Lage. Innerhalb weniger Minuten erreicht ist man in Laugavegur und Hallgrímskirkja. 2 km entfernt: Perlan und Rathaus von Reykjavík. Die Zimmer sind funktionell ausgestattet (Kühlschrank, Mikrowelle, Flachbildfernseher etc.) und gemütlich eingerichtet. Positiv sind auch die kostenlosen Parkplätze und das freie WLAN.

Unsere Zimmer war im Keller, darüber hatten wir uns erst sehr gewundert haben aber dann festgestellt das in Island sehr viele im Keller wohnen. Check in und Check out gingen sehr schnell. Was wir sehr gut fanden war, dass die Buse von allen unseren Touren immer direkt vorm Hotel auf uns gewartet haben. Das Hotel und unser Zimmer waren wirklich sehr sauber, da kann man absolut nicht meckern. In der Küche hätten wir uns ein wenig mehr Geschirr gewünscht (es gab z.B. Nur einen Teelöffel) ansonsten sind wir sehr zufrieden mit dem Hotel und würden immer wieder hier Einchecken und es an andere weiter empfehlen.

Nicht wirklich befriedigender Aufenthalt. Keine Ansprechsperson vor Ort, bei Anrufen nimmt niemand ab, man muss per Mail kommunizieren und bekommt erst nach ein paar Tagen Antwort. Zimmer eher Durchschnitt, musste für eine Matratze extra zahlen, was mir einfach von der Kreditkarte abgebucht wurde, ohne Info.

Location: Close to Laugavegur - supermarket close by and shopping street; harbour and sights in Reykjavik in walking distance; all tours offer pick ups from the hotel, do for this the location ddoesn't matter. Room: Size and equipment totally okay for a week. Minor improvements would make a huge difference though. E.g. drawers do not open completely as the door is to close, half the electricity in the kitchen doesn't work, water in the toilet keeps running, ... wifi works in the room and waiting area Waiting area: Is a small room, without any seats. If you habe tours every day it gets anoying. Service: Towels are changed every second day. No room service or cleaning. There is no reception so noone to ask.

Gutes Gästehaus zur Selbstversorgung
Wir verbrachten einige Nächte im Einholt Gästehaus in Reykjavik. Die Rezeption ist nicht besetzt, weshalb es klug ist dem Hotel einfach vor Ankunft eine E-Mail für den Türcode zu schicken (es gehen aber auch genug Leute ein und aus), um den hinterlegten Zimmerschlüssel abzuholen. Wir waren im zweiten Haus gegenüber der Straße einquartiert. Die Orientierung fiel erst nicht leicht, da es nur eine kurze Skizze als Wegbeschreibung zum zweiten Haus gab. Dort angekommen brauchte man nochmal einen anderen Türcode. Als wir mit dem Fahrstuhl oben angekommen waren, gab es eine große Überraschung: Eine große, geräumige Wohnung: Schlafzimmer, Bad, Küche mit Wohn- und Essbereich; Kochutensilien waren auch vorhaden. Also ideal für Selbstversorger (was sich bei den teuren Restaurantpreisen in Reykjavik auch anbietet). Das Zimmer wurde jeden Tag gereinigt - mit allem drum und dran. FAZIT: Das Einholt ist ein sehr zu empfehlendes Gästehaus unmittelbar im Zentrum von Reykjavik! Wir waren sehr zufrieden!

Unser Aufenthalt in der Grettisgata war schön, ein kleines Apartment mit dem Charme der 80er Jahre. Auf unsere Wünsche wurde schnell und unkompliziert eingegangen. Wer es nicht so stylish braucht und Lust hat, den Einheimischen in die Fenster zu schauen, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Die G-gata ist nahe beim alten Stadtzentrum, trotzdem ist es ruhig nachts.

Das Einholt Appartment war überbucht und so wurden wir in einer Ersatzherberge untergebracht. Bei unserer Ankunft lag nur ein Zettel mit einer Telefonnummer und ein Schlüssel dort. In der Ersatzherberge waren nur 3 anstatt der 4 gebuchten Betten, die Telefonnummer war nicht erreichbar, also haben wir die Nacht so dort verbracht, denn wir hatten keine Lust, den ganzen Abend die angegebene Nummer oder Expedia zu erreichen, was auch nicht möglich war. Wir bitte um Teilerstattung un Rückmeldung!!!!

Einfache Unterkunft an zentraler Lage
Die Unterkunft war sehr klein, einfach aber zweckmässig. Der grösste Pluspunkt war die sehr zentrale Lage (ca. 5 - 10 min. zu Fuss vom Zentrum entfernt). Ausser der Küchenecke war das Zimmer ziemlich sauber. Die beiden Herdplatten sowie die Mikrowelle waren jedoch nicht zu gebrauchen da ziemlich stark verschmutzt. Unser 2-Bett Studio war im Keller des Gebäudes. Somit hatten wir auch keinen Internet-Empfang und die Aussicht aus dem Fenster (welches klemmte) war nicht gerade berauschend. TV war vorhanden - aber eigentlich überflüssig da sowieso nur 1 oder 2 Sender (isländische) empfangbar waren. Betten waren sehr bequem und sauber. Die Fassade des Gebäudes wirkt nicht sehr einladend. Es sind jedoch viele Gratis-Parkplätze vorhanden. Das Frühstück wurde im Kühlschrank hinterlegt: Toastbrot, Käsescheiben, Schinken, Butter, Milch, Orangen- und Apfelsaft. Wer nicht allzu hohe Ansprüche an seine Unterkunft stellt, ist mit dem Einholt sicher gut bedient.

Pros: property is in a good location. Near to shops and mall. Getting around with a car was easy and parking was great. Felt comfortable and safe. People around the property was helpful and friendly. At nights it was super quiet, great for light sleepers. The amenities provided for the kitchen was perfect our short stay. Add an iron and ironing board would have been helpful. Cons: The hot water smelled though we later found this to be common. The sheets in one of the bedrooms were dirty (had hair, oils and makeup on it). The sheets for the sofa-bed also had hair and stains on it. When we asked the cleaners for new sheets, they offered the ones they were sitting on. The bathroom could do with a deep cleaning (clean/change the shower head and shower curtain) and just clean it. There was a hole in the living room wall, not a big deal just an observation, the Tv also had a lot of fingerprints on it, and clearly was not cleaned between guests. The laundry room can also do with some cleaning and instructions for using the machines.

This is a great location for getting around the city. We walked everywhere. Lots of good restaurants and a grocery store nearby. The shower was a bit odd with the shower being up on a 2-3 foot high platform so you needed to use a step to get up there.

We had a two bedroom apartment it was huge.Communication excellent without seeing anyone.Location minutes from bus stop,main shopping and eating street and supermarket just around corner.Everything needed was provided including a laundry room including free detergent as well as a luggage room pre and post check-in.Maybe not the prettiest looking externally but for location, ammenities and comfort 5 star. Will definately stay again.

Had a few issues into our place. Received an email in advance of arriving with a room number and a code but upon arrival that information was incorrect so we had to wait to get an updated room number and code. Then the next day in the evening, the code to our room didn’t work anymore and we had to wait for somebody to get back to us, otherwise the room itself was fine.
