Alles gut ausser Frühstück
Eigentlich alles gut bis auf das Frühstücksbuffet. Wer Früchte und Brot mit Marmelade mag, kommt auf seine Kosten. Leider sind Eiprodukte wie Rührei, Omelette oder Spiegelei oder Würstchen oder Speck extra. Beim bezahlten Preis inklusive Frühstück sollte dies mit eingeschlossen sein.

Hotel in Küstennähe, aber ohne Strand
Will man vom Club Raro aus die Insel kennen lernen bzw. einen Sandstrand erreichen braucht es ein Fahrzeug (Scooter u. Pkw im Hotel mietbar) oder den öffentl. Bus. Wir hatten ständig ein Moped gemietet. Strandaccessoirs (towel, snorcel, shoes etc) sind im Hotel (mit ein wenig Bürokratie) erhältlich.

Top Lage und faires Preis-Leistungsverhältnis
10 Tage im Club Raro Resort haben wir genutzt um Sonne und Entspannung aufzutanken, die Insel zu erkunden und das Pazifik-feeling auf uns wirken zu lassen. Das Hotel glänzt mit einer hervorragenden Lage auf der Insel: von morgens bis zum Sonnenuntergang ist der Blick auf das Meer fantastisch, im Gegensatz zu den Hotels im Süden der Insel. Der Club Raro vermietet günstig Fahrräder und Roller. In die Stadt kann wer will aber sogar auch laufen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und konnte auf besondere Wünsche bei zB Frühstück eingehen.

Absolute Basisausstattung
Wie überall üblich auf den Cook's ist die Unterkunft für das gebotene zu teuer. Wer Swimminpool braucht, sollte woanders buchen, weil der Pool zu dreckig war. Das Personal war fast ohne Ausnahme sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Für zwei Tage hatte das Hotel kein Wasser. Duschen war unmöglich, und das Pool ging leer. Die Klimaanlage war sehr Laut, der Kühlschrank ebenfalls.

5 stars all round! The staff are very helpful and go the extra mile to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. Awesome atmosphere. The bar and pool was my favourite place to be. Only downside was our aircon kept leaking however that could’ve been due to the humidity but it still didn’t put a damper on things. Thank you to all the staff. Definitely be back.

Had an awesome time in Rarotonga. Club Raro is a smaller adults only resort. Great friendly staff. Not located on a sandy beach, instead a beautiful view of a coral covered beach and out to sea. sea was a bit rough for snorkelling when we stayed so we ended up exploring other beaches around the island. Could snorkel on calmer.days though. 30mins walk to town and also easy to jump on local bus to travel around the island. Would hapily stay again!

Club Raro is a beautiful small resort, the staff could not be faulted. However if you want to swim and snorkel you need to be on the other side of the island as the water out the front of the resort is treacherous. If you like laying around a beautiful pool this is the resort for you.

Overall the property was very disappointing. We were booked into a deluxe ocean view room which sounds amazing but it wasn't all rooms under that heading about 12 or so had there beds running parallel to the ocean which rather negated the ocean view..If you had your own achohol you weren't allowed to drink it at the table and chairs over looking the ocean. The pool in the complex is small 1.4 mts deep at most and when we were there had decent dose of choline bit hard on the eyes.. The cooked breakfast wasn't much portions small not much value for money. Resort provided reef shoes for anyone game enough to venture into the water no sand just coral no good for swimming. Best thing about Club Raro was the staff who were friendly and helpful especially Aba and her team of cleaners .good job

We were particularly taken with the lovely service from the staff who would wherever possible accommodate our requests. The resort provides a great breakfast and if you want excellent choices for other meals later in both the restaurant and the “sand” bar. Little things like filtered ice water and insect repellent spray freely available enhance the stay

The property has great views, a decent on-site restaurant, swim up bar and decent sunning areas. Loved the air conditioning! Didn't like the over priced wi-fi. Not really close to any other resorts or restaurants. You can snorkel in front of the resort but the waves and current make it tricky. It's also very shallow so, you have to be careful not to get pushed on to the coral. All in all a pretty good resort but a little pricey.

Property was okay even though the facilities were quite out dated. While we were there the poolbar was under maintenance for 4 days and the kitchen had a limited menu for 4 days and we were told via a letter stuck to our room door the night before. Staff are great

Mini break.
Our stay at Club Raro was a bit disappointing. With not a great choice of places to eat outside the hotel it was inconvenient that the kitchen was closed for a few days and only pizzas and snacks were available. The staff were very nice but the whole complex could do with some updating and some TLC.
