Not a 5 star. I would say its a 3.5 to 4 star. 4 star experience if you upgrade to preferred club. If you dont then you are at 3 star experience. I will do my best to avoid secrets, dreams and breathless because their 5 star is just not up to standard. Pros: Location Beach Food had flavor # of restaurants Cons: Service Drink quality Lack of things available Room ac issues Room decor Not much vegetarian options at restaurants prher than buffet. Room: our ac was not working we were there for 3 nights and had switch room every night. Upgraded to their most premium room but still temperature was at 24C at night. In one of the rooms it was 26.5 at night. Room decor: basic like motel feel. Dated. But the hair conditioner was 5 star! Food: more flavor than your average resort and not too much wait time. Best restaurant was portofino with lots of options, french restaurant food was bland. Buffet was always helpful to have when other restaurants failed. Hibachi was tasty but nothing incredible. Location Only 25 mins from airport with an amazing beach! Service: this was the worst part. It just was not 5 star or even close. Its a 3 star experience when it comes to dealing with service. No towels available… not a single time did someone come up to me and asked me if i wanted a drink. Every single time i had to go get my own drinks. No service by main pool area. No one is smiling. I properly will not come back. The seaweed on the beach is not their fault, but they don’t clean the beach that is full of trash. The facility is ok but the room is old and nothing about it is deluxe as described. This is 3 star hotel even though it’s said 3 star overall. The hotel took no responsibility after I complained about the wrong info about the room we booked one of their staffs gave to us. We were stressful during our stay because of their bad shower door design which makes the floor wet all over the place after each shower. I and my wife almost fell so many times which is very frustrating and scary. It may be noisy, crowded, fun, but this is definitely not a place for your luxury vacation. Service is just fair even though most of the staffs are nice. I have been stayed at many 4 star hotel that way more luxury than this facility. I know that they are building the new construction, but I and my wife will not come back there. We were fooled by the pictures on Expedia.com, and the reality is a big disappointment.

L’endroit est beau mais le complexe est vieillissant, beaucoup d’éléments des installations n’ont pas été entretenus et sont maintenant en très mauvais état ou inutilisable. C’est le cas par exemple de la table de soccer sur table (inutilisable), la table de air hockey (brisée), le mini putt (tapis du jeu eventré), plusieurs des appareils au gym n’ont pas été maintenus et sont inutilisables. La nourriture était très ordinaire, souvent mauvaise et jamais exceptionnelle. Gros problème de climatisation au buffet principal, à l’heure du déjeuner c’est chaud et à l’heure du souper c’est pire encore, très désagréable une douche s’impose après y être passé. On serait beaucoup plus confortable à manger à l’extérieur mais il n’est pas permis d’aller déjeuner à l’extérieur du buffet ou de sortir l’assiette au souper. Le restaurant mexicain est dans le même local alors même chose il y fait trop chaud. Le chemin pour aller aux chambres est agréable, feeling un peu jungle / nature, le service était bien, les activités correct sans plus. On a apprécié notre séjour mais on était certainement déçu de l’endroit, on ne le recommanderait pas.

This was the worse resort I’ve ever stand on in over 14 countries I’ve been to. I’ve stayed in Mexico twice and this was by far the worse. The trip was bad but the resort made it horrendous. I paid an extra $300 for a “preferred” room DONT DO IT. It literally means anything, doesn’t give you any faster service, doesn’t give you special treatment it’s literally just access to a pool that closes at 5pm. Are room was the furthest from everything pool, lobby, any activities so the constant walking with N O accessible golf carts was frustrating. For starters my room had NO towels, the ac filter must never be cleaned because the whole stay we stayed with the room feeling humid and just dampened from the sheets to the comforters. We were supposed to get a bottle of liquor for paying “preferred” never did. The room lacked cleanliness the shower literally reeked like a sewage pipe was permeating throughout every shower was atrocious due to that smell. Even though they “fixed” it on day 3 might I add the smell did not go away. The mildew and moldy feeling made the room so uncomfortable. Let’s not forget their version of “cleaning” was a joke they NEVER changed our sheets. We knew from literally seeing a bug we killed flipped over on the opposite side from the sheets. Floor never swept or mopped it was such an uncomfortable experience. Then to get anything cold? Felt like mission IMPOSSIBLE! Everything in the fridge was sweating, nothing I have to say more but I’m out of characters.

Staff and facilities were nice. Food was terrible and we tried all the options. The main pool had a loud, spring break vibe with music, games, loud guests, etc. If you’re looking to relax be sure to book a preferred status so you can use the adults only pool.

The landscaping of the property was serene. With that being said I was disappointed with the lack of service as it related to the following: the day I arrived there was a heavy thunderstorm and the front desk did not offer me and my group a ride to our room which was a quarter mile away. Our building was difficult to locate in the heavy rain and each employee we came in contact with did not speak english and could not assist. Secondly, the refrigerator in out room was broken, the iron was broken and the safe did not work. The building our rooms were in were outdated. The booking of dinner reservations at the resort was complicated for no apparent reason. Overall, the customer service component of this resort was lacking to say the least. Less emphasis on appearance and take more time to adhere to the needs of your patrons to ensure positive reviews in the future. Maybe i’ll read about it because I wont be back.

This resort never disappoints us. The food is superb at every restaurant. The service is amazing, especially at the buffet for breakfast and lunch with Mardo and Archie. I highly recommend the resort. The only thing I did not like was the addition of the day beds by the pool area. It made it look messy, cluttered and less luxurious than what I remember without them. I would remove these. Similarily, the pool area has become very congested with loungers and the lounge pads need to be replaced.

It was ok at best. Resort isn’t in top shape. Limited food options. When you actually were able to eat somewhere, the food is below average at best. Good luck getting seats by the pool, everyone wakes up early and outs their personal stuff on chairs to reserve. This is not a 4 star resort. I’ve stayed at Dreams resorts before and this by far is the worst of all of them.
