We liked overall resort size, multiple pools, day animation, beach, service at reception, a la carte restaurants, room size & breakfast. We didnt like the service at the bars, where you had to queue partially very long, in particular at the beach. Better avoid the buffet restaurants, which have very poor food quality: overcooked, very fatty and poor choice over stay. But all in all good value.

We have traveled to various resorts in Cancun in the past 6 years and i would say by far this is the worst as far as over all service and food. Breakfast had very minimal choices, eating the same thing for 6 days got old. Also the food lacked flavor very bland. Service at the pool bar was the worst i have ever experienced. Only one bar tender and having to wait more than half an hour for a drink at the pool is not i expected. The resort seemed under staffed and it showed on the staff. The only good service we really received was at the Italian, Mexican, and steak restaurants. Facilities where clean but tv where out dated. I would not visit the princess resorts.

The staff was not friendly and the food at all restaurants and buffets had no flavor. The hotel staff took money from my safe. The bartenders offered to serve minors as long as they were given tips. They did not pay attention to the minor colored bracelets. The pools and resort was well taken care of though. Clean

The layout of the resort was so spacious, it never felt crowded. I have never seen so many pools at a resort. The only complaint I have is the food was not good at the buffet and most of the specialty restaurants. Steakhouse was decent. The food stands that serve lunch by the pools were good. Would come back.

I was not informed that I needed to insert my room card into a specific area once inside my room to activate all electrical outlets in the room. The shuttle around the property did not run very often. The bathroom in my room had cracked tiles in the shower.

This was beautiful. My recommendation would be to improve on the shuttle times, we ended up walking instead of waiting for the shuttle since it took so long. Also, you need to make the map of the hotel more available to make it easier to navigate.

This property is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are very well kept and there are adorable animals everywhere. Unfortunately, the food could use MUCH improvement. The waitresses and servers are very nice though and it’s no fault of theirs. The guy who made our reservations for the restaurants messed them all up. Luckily, the servers were nice enough to let us eat anyway. The entertainment at night is hit or miss. You’re pretty much on your own to figure out where everything is at on this GIANT resort. At other resorts, we were shown around and given info on where everything is. We ran into several other people that didn’t have a clue where to find things because you are told none of this upon check in. The gift shop on the resort is very nice and clean and for it to be on the resort, the prices are very decent and the souvenirs are good quality! We did have trouble at the front desk on exchanging our big bills for cash (we probably should’ve thought about this before leaving the states) but we went ahead and asked, they hassled us on every tear, rip, tiny little stain and wouldn’t take our money. Unfortunately that only hurts their crew who we were going to use the small bills to tip. The beach was beautiful, seaweed is to be expected pretty much everywhere but the water felt amazing and the view was gorgeous from our balcony. Our room was beautiful and clean. The housekeeping staff was amazing! Overall, I probably will not be back but still had a good time.

2nd time at this location, i felt things have gone down hill quite a bit, a lot of repairs have gone unnoticed , or they are just saving money and ignoring them, could def do with a big lick of paint at the least, I was very surprised that things looked like it was 3 star resort. The person who cleaned my room thought it was okay that he decided he would put a bag of nuts inside my toiletries bag?!. I did not think they could/should go inside personal items, had to keep asking for more coffee packs, supplied one only, yet 2 coffee cups. Concierge told us the Italian a la carte was closed for remodelling, yet the buffet servers told us, it was totally open and a table quaranteed if you bought a bottle.

Pro Siempre hay comida y muchos bares. Camastros disponibles Albercas limpias El personal siempre fue muy amable, en restaurantes y bares. Solicite una amenidad para cumpleaños y nos llevaron un delicioso minicake, el cual les agradezco mucho! Contra 1. Difícil obtener una reservación para cenar, si no encuentras espacio, su única opción es darte una mesa a cambio de que compres una botella. 2. Solo había un spot abierto para toallas de playa, por lo que si estabas en la alberca tenías que caminar hasta casi llegando a la playa para obtener una toalla. 3. Si tienes una habitación con acceso a la alberca no puedes ingresar después del horario marcado (lo que en otros hoteles si está permitido) 4. Room service es con cargo, a excepción de las bebidas. 5. Solo te dan 3 horas de internet incluido :( si quieres más tienes que pagar. 6. Al checkout solicite mi equipaje que tenían en resguardo, el bellboy me hizo ir por el a dónde lo tenían guardado y no me brindó ayuda alguna para sacarlo de ahí.

Food is mediocre at best. French restaurant is good. Staff stole $100 out of our room. Walk-in closet was infested with mosquitoes. BD Experience is the worst reputable excursion company I’ve ever dealt with (they are on the property - book ahead with your travel apps) Run away. Fighting them for a refund through my credit card company that was clearly their fault. Beach is full of seaweed May-July. Bit rocky.

Just returned from a two week stay. We'd give the Princess Sunset 6 stars if we could. The room, public areas, dining options, food quality, grounds, pools, beach and general facilities were all top class. Service was also great - we had one or two very minor issues (in room coffee maker not working for example) and they were fixed almost immediately and there was a call to check that whatever it was had been taken care of and that we were happy. Liked it so much we have already booked the same two weeks for next year.

The resort has lots of animals and multiple times, they snatched food off of tables and out of people's hands. It is a beautiful property, staff were kind, and food options were decent.

We got to the resort around one pm, unfortunately we weren’t able to check in early so we had to wait around the resort for two hours which kind of sucks. We were convinced to upgrade to platinum wristbands, which honestly we didn’t understand the difference. It was explained as if it would allow us to do more things, but all we saw it do was let us get towels without a card. By the 3rd night, we noticed the bands, let us get top shelf alcohol like Hennessy with no charge. When I arrived to my room, the floors were wet as if they just finished cleaning it. I had hand prints on my headboard which was strange so I asked for house keeping to wipe it off. The pool water was typically warm and the drinks were definitely water down. The entertainment at the pool was fun and allowed us to make new friends. The buffet had a sign saying every night was different but honestly, every night was the same. In my opinion, the best food was at the sports bar, which was Paninis and fries. The club is open from 10:30 to 1:30 which sucks because everyone gets there by 11:30 and it only gives us two hours to party. They played the same music every night and which eventually got boring. If it wasn’t for the guests, I wouldn’t have enjoyed the stay, but overall, I had a great time but again it was because of the guests.

The resort is very large but well maintained and staff is always cleaning something somewhere. There is always something to do with a variety of activities during the day and options for entertainment (shows, sports bar, night club) in the evening. The staff was fantastic and always helpful and to the duo in the Sports Bar who made our delicious lattes & cappucinos; thank you ! We as a larger group (13) really enjoyed ourselves and our stay. The only negative comment we had is the resort needed more help for the "swim-up" bars. Having only (1) bartender for a large pool of people created very long wait times for a drink; though koodos to the bartenders as they got it done (Thank you Humberto). Have stayed at multiple resorts around Cancun and this was definitely a positive experience for us all.

Beware!! Do Not Book Here!! I recently stayed at this hotel and from the moment I entered the property I knew we made a mistake/ie grounds were unkept/trash/staff was unkept. 1- we had to be shown 3 rooms as A) First room was being used by staff to change after hanging out at the pool and then quitting. B) was hassled by front desk when we requested new room. We were given new room, but not same accommodation C) Given new room that was adequate and they also upgraded our wrist bands But folks that’s just within the first 2-3 hours of being carted back and forth to an adequate room. 2-The hotel grounds are unkept and the pools have literally filth from the surrounding trees that some pools are not more clean than the ocean. Swim in dirty water? No thanks! 3-Carts to get around are far and few in-between. As in they have 1…. 1 bus going around the entire resort. Wear your walking shoes baby! 4-the staff is rude. Some are flat out jerks. If you ask for anything don’t expect anything in response or return if it’s not that persons job… they will literally walk on by yah. 5-management is terrible at communication and dealing with issues. If you have an issue you will be asked to email them and they will follow Up. People - please beware when I tell you that in a real time of need we were left with zero help, zero care, zero follow up. We ended up leaving the resort early and we were refunded the days we left on the table. That is how bad this place is!
