I am very sorry to read that you didn’t enjoy your stay with us. Yes, the building is old, it is actually from the 18th century which is what our guests usually appreciate and look for. Our building is part of the Parisian history : it was the head of a revolutionary newspaper in 1812 (until 1944) and, until 1850, the ground floor was home of the Café Momus. However, don’t worry, it has been renovated since the 18th century ! We have 21 rooms and, every year, we renovate 3 to 4 rooms. The lobby has been completely renovated 1 year ago as well as the entire heating/air conditioning system. As described on the web site you used for the reservation (and the confirmation we sent you), the room you stayed in is 26m² (280 square feet) and have a view on our inner court, I am very sorry you found it too small but it is actually the regular size for triple rooms for 4 star hotel downtown Paris. We wish we could have a breakfast room but, unfortunately, we don’t have enough space for it either in our basement or on the ground floor which is why we clearly indicate that breakfast are only served in the rooms. The hotel Relais du Louvre is a 4 star hotel since 2017. Every 5 years hotels must have a follow-up visit to make sure that they still follow the rules of their classification. We had it only a few month ago and I can assure your that, after everything was checked by experts, we do follow the criteria.

Es ist uns nämlich sehr wichtig, dass unsere Gäste nie nach etwas fragen brauchen, weil aus im Voraus gecheckt worden ist. Die Lage mitten in der Stadt aber in einer ruhigen Straße gibt unseren Gästen die Möglichkeit, alles zu Fuß in der Stadt zu entdecken und sich jedoch auszuruhen. Ich hoffe, dass wir in der Zukunft, die Gelegenheit haben werden, Sie wieder in unser Hotel willkommen heißen zu dürfen und verbleibe, mit freundlichen Grüßen.

The location of the Relais du Louvre is perfect : we are walking distance to many touristy places such as the Louvre museum, the Orsay museum, Notre Dame ... and near metro, bus stops. We always try to new ways to make our rooms even more comfortable (safe with plugs inside to charge the computer, Bluetooth speaker, ...).I hope we will have the chance to welcome you again at the Relais du Louvre.
