Gemütliches Domizil
Es war schön. Noch etwas schöner wäre es wenn man hier und da etwas Geld in die Hand nimmt und ein bisschen modernisiert. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett und korrekt. Man hat seine Ruhe und es hibt nach relativ kurzen Autofahrten viel anzuschauen.

Wunderschöne Woche
Wir (Familie mit 2 Kindern) haben eine Woche in diesem wunderschönen Cottage verbracht. Gleich nach unserer Ankunft wurden wir sehr herzlich von Pat und seinem leckeren Bananenbrot begrüßt. Es war alles vorhanden, was wir benötigten. Uns hat die Nähe zur Straße nichts ausgemacht. Im Gegenteil, dadurch wohnt man sehr zentral und wir konnten Ausflüge in alle Himmelsrichtungen starten. Wir würden immer wieder gerne kommen und können dieses Haus und vor allem Pat (der das alles zu etwas ganz besonderem macht), sehr empfehlen.

We had a great week in Ireland. Patrick and Maura are very friendly and helpful and especially Pat is the best host ever if it comes to tour tips. The region offers lots of possibilities as the Wild Atlantic Way with all it's hotspots.

Sehr nette Vermieter wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Das die Strasse laut ist wussten wir vorher. Da einzige was uns missfallen hat, war das Gas und Strom extra abgerechnet werden und das, das nirgendwo erwähnt wird. Drei € pro Kubikmeter Gas ist nicht gerade wenig.

Super schönes Haus, sehr, sehr nette Besitzer - Wonderfull house, lovely owners
Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in Irland, vor allem auch, weil wir so eine schöne Unterkunft hatten. Sehr gemütlich eingerichtet, kontinentale Betten (!!!), angenehmes Wohnklima. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die super nette Kommunikation mit Maura und Pat, so freundliche und hilfsbereite Menschen haben wir selten getroffen. We had a great time in Ireland, especially because we had such a nice place to stay. Very comfortably furnished, continental beds (!!!), pleasant living environment. Especially we would like to highlight the super nice communication with Maura and Pat, so friendly and helpful people we have rarely met. Nettes Landhaus, sehr netter Vermieter
Wir sind gerade aus Irland zurückgekommen. Können dieses Cottage absolut empfehlen. Viel Charme, sehr sauber, viel Platz, äusserst sympatischer Vermieter. Gute Lage, um Ausflüge in alle Himmelsrichtungen zu unternehmen (Cliffs of Mohar, Ring of Kerry, Lillarney, Bunratty Castle). Kleiner Wermutstropfen: Landhaus liegt direkt an der Bundesstraße. Aber insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen!!!

Nice cottage
The cottage is basic, but nice. Everything was very clean and well kept. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable, although a bid squeaky. When we first arrived we were worried about the noise from the road beside the house, but it was fine. The kitchen is basic, but it has more or less everything one needs to prepare a meal. The oven rings needed their time to heat up, but it can also be, that we are not used to an electric stove. We liked the view through the window from the table in the living room. The outside is very nice, a very well kept garden. The cottage is located at the outside of the village. There is a shop and a post office nearby. For a better selection of groceries, we recommend Askeaton. There is a big supermarket with a gas station. For a nice meal to a reasonable price, we recommend The Old Stand in Shanagolden and The Bucket on the other side of Kildimo. There is also a pub (Slattery's) in walking distance. Limerick is very close by for sightseeing and shopping.

Darling cottage, convenient to many attractions
We were 3 seniors staying in this darling cottage. It was extremely comfortable with nicely -separated bedrooms. The house was well appointed. The hosts provided lots of reading materials including about area attractions. Pat greeted us when we arrived and spent time explaining the heating, appliances, and the area.

Quaint and picturesque property
Patrick greeted us with muffins and jam even tho we arrived late. He showed us in and explained how things worked. Well stocked kitchen, and when I needed additional baking and measuring tools he was happy to provide them. Even gave us fresh herbs from his garden. The property is beautiful. Lovely grounds. We were not far to many of the islands historical sites. Nice stay, nice people. Clean accomodations.

Coziest home away from home
Our stay started off with being met personally by the property owner, Pat. He did a walk through of the property with us, showing all important things to see/know. He brought us each slices of apple cake and milk for tea. The home was supplied with basic cooking supplies, and tea/coffee/hot cocoa. The home was made to be a perfect place to stay while on our vacation. Thanks again, Pat!

We found a piece of heaven at Coolbeg Lodge
Our stay at Coolbeg Lodge was absolutely amazing! Patrick and Maura were the kindest and most welcoming couple! I would have to say if we were neighbors they would be treasured friends! The cottage itself was everything and more as described on the website. Clean, quiet, fully equipped and more than enough room for our family of 4. I couldn’t stop taking pictures of the grounds as the flowers and rock buildings/fences were enchanting. Beautiful people and beautiful cottage!

Fantastic Cottage
This cottage was great. When we drove up and by the way we were early, the owner welcomed us and in a short time brought us homemade muffins and cream. The kindest people and the area and cottage were more than perfect. I really didn’t want to leave. I will be going back there for sure next time I visit.

Absolutely beautiful!
Words can not describe how beautiful this place is! We had such a wonderful time and the hosts were so nice. Pat was ready to greet us as we pulled in, helped with our luggage, chatted with us a little bit, had some brochures on local attractions, then brought us tea and scones. This was my first time in Ireland and hopefully not my last and I will definitely book here again.

Fantastic cottage, Fantastic hosts, Fantastic stay away
From the second I turned into the driveway, to the second we left, this Cottage was like a breath of fresh air in a stunning oasis. The cottage is gorgeous and we loved the decour and old cottage feel, the beds were incredibly comfortable and the shower nicely powerful. The garden area was exceptional, and we spent most of our time here. The picnic bench was enclosed by a walled area, and it was just so very pleasant to sit out and read or chat and enjoy the setting. The cottage is right beside the road, but this didn't cause us any issues sleeping or disturb us at all. The location is great. We got Afternoon Tea from Miss Marple's tea rooms on Day 1, drove the stunning coastal road to Ballybunion on Day 2, and headed to Ballina/Killaloe on Day 3. All easy drives. Pat was wonderful. He was very quick to respond to any queries, and rang me the night before to make sure I was comfortable with the directions. He was there to welcome me when I arrived, and went above and beyond to help us while we were there. We will DEFINITELY stay again. Wonderful!

Lovely cottage with very friendly owners
The booking and check-in process was very smooth and easy. The owner Pat gave us a very friendly welcome upon arrival and a helpful tour through the cottage with tips and instructions; he was very willing to provide information and suggestions on places to visit in the area. The cottage was clean and well equipped and very comfortable for our family of 5. The area was very pretty with cows grazing in the adjacent field behind our cottage and beautiful flowers out front. Note that Pat will come and read the water and electricity meters before departure and will charge based on a unit-based fee which was explained when we arrived; not a big deal - worked out to just 10 euros for us after a 6-night stay and very reasonable given that we did some laundry and the kids always leave lights on! We were able to do day-trips to Cliffs of Moher, Burren, Aran Islands, Killarney, Blarney Castle, and Rock of Cashel all from this cottage so it is well located. Definitely recommend.

All good things to say about the cottage we stayed in and the owners Pat & Maura. They offered us breakfast while our cottage was being cleaned which was very nice! My recommendations to the owners would be to upgrade the towels, linens, pillows,and mattresses. I would also like to see paper towels in the kitchen and a box of tissues in the bathroom. The only real negative thing about the cottage is it is located near N69 and there is some road noise.

We were very happy with our stay in this property. It was very well appointed and situated in a convenient location. The owners were informative and available if needed. It was very cute. We did have some issues with the wifi dropping out a lot but that happens to lots of places so not a huge deal. Otherwise we loved it.

Great location, beautiful gardens and hosts were welcoming and accommodating. Visiting nearby town of Adare was great with nice pubs, shopping and beautiful walking paths. The only thing preventing a rating of 5 was that the bathroom shower leaked and was quite cold. Other than that, it was clean, friendly hosts, and great location.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Coolbeg!
What a lovely, magical place Cool beg is! We stayed 3 days, our home base! Pat is a super host and gave us some excellent advise for our daily excursions. Adare is approx 6 km away and has some great places to eat/drink. We also ate in one night and had everything we needed. Coolbeg's grounds are beautiful! Besides being a wonderful baker, Pat also has a green thumb! We will come again!! Thank you Pat and Mauranium!

The cottage is just as displayed online. Pat and Maura were wonderful. Pat brought homemade muffins and jam on our arrival. Later in the evening we got to meet Maura, who was just as lovely, and chatted a bit outside. They gave us directions for an awesome road trip through the Cliffs of Moher, told us a nice little town to stop in for lunch, and basically mapped out our whole day for us. The day the suggested was our best in Ireland. Definitely recommend staying with them and would love to go back someday.
