My husband and I just finished our one week stay at Villa Calma. The property is beautiful, in the countryside yet not far from a small market, and about a ten minute drive to a larger one just outside Ostuni. The villa is very quiet, spacious, and well equipped. It also has an amazing view of the Puglia landscape, with trulli in the distance. If I have any caveats, it is that the Wi-Fi gave us some issues. The hosts, Ulla and Tommie, put in a lot of effort to get it fixed but it seems that the area is susceptible to weather. Nevertheless, we had good Wi-Fi for the majority of our stay. Ulla and Tommie were the most gracious, generous hosts. Since we speak neither Italian nor German, their neighbor Martin (who is also German) pitched in as translator. All this was done with the greatest good humor on all our parts! Tommie brought over a homemade tiramisu, which was incredible. The beds are very comfortable, and the home has all the modern necessities, such as lots of plugs to charge electronics, AC, nice showers, and everything is spotlessly clean. I highly recommend this property.
