Gutes Hotel in Brooklyn
Wir waren für eine Nacht zu Gast im Nu Hotel. Leider konnten wir nicht direkt einchecken, da wir zu früh am Hotel waren. Aber wir durften unser Gepäck dort gratis lagern und schon einmal die Gegend erkunden. Das Zimmer war für New Yorker Verhältnisse recht groß und gut klimatisiert, sauber und ordentlich. Und die Badezimmerprodukte sind richtig gut. Auch die Straße hat man so gut wie gar nicht gehört. Wir hatten übrigens ein Zimmer mit Blick auf das Gefängnis. Aber unwohl gefühlt hat man sich nicht. Toll waren das gratis Wasser und Tee/Kaffeeangebot in der Lobby. Auch das Frühstück fanden wir wirklich gut. Klar kann man es nicht mit einem teuren Hotelbuffetfrühstück vergleichen, aber dafür ist es auch gratis. Die Lobby wirkt, da sie gleichzeitig Aufenthalts-, Bar- und Frühstücksraum ist, teilweise etwas beengt. Toll fanden wir auch, dass man gratis Fahrräder leihen kann. Wir würden sofort wieder kommen, denn die Lage ist auch wirklich gut. Für einen Punkt mehr müsste das Hotel einfach mehr Annehmlichkeiten bieten und das Personal müsste noch sicherer werden. Aber für den Preis wirklich empfehlenswert.

We enjoyed the uniqueness of the room & hallway decor! The chalk walk in the bathroom was great, but I didn’t love the very low beds. Room was definitely overpriced. The included breakfast was above average. However, there was loud construction occurring and other very loud noises at all hours during our entire stay. We couldn’t sleep.

Stanley greeted me when I checked in and he was so friendly! Really made me feel welcome. I took a star off because other staff was exact opposite - couldn’t care less. They have free coffee all day long and free breakfast in the morning. I did not partake of breakfast but seemed people were enjoying. Rooms are nice & they have L’Occitaine bath products. The walls are a little thin so hear a lot of bumps at night. But I would def stay again.

Comfortable hotel in a good location
Easy check in, simple lobby with complimentary coffee, tea and water station. Room was clean and fresh smelling. Bed and pillows were confortable. Bathroom had L’occitane lotion, soap, shampoo and conditioner which was a lovely touch as well as a hair dryer. Hallways smelled like weed so many an air purifier could help with that. Area was convenient to subways, Barclays Center and many restaurants. Good hotel for a home base when travelling as you can easily explore different areas of Brooklyn and Manhattan.

Room with no working heat! Horrible stay
Hotel walls were extremely thin. My room was a connecting room with a group that was there to party not work. Very loud! When I was moved to another room I was put into a room with a broken heater that ultimately had to be disconnected so I spent the night in a room with NO heat. Bathroom was not clean and there were small white pills on the floor when o arrived.

I loved my stay here. Breakfast included is a plus. Room is big and clean. I loved the wood floors! Comfortable bed. My room was quiet- other reviews complained of noise. Did not experience noise at all. Staff are so nice and accommodating!! I will stay here again.

Location is excellent, close to trains and restaurants. Parking garage is next door. Staff is friendly and helpful. The mattresses in the room are not firm though. Overall great stay at the hotel!

I originally reserved a “standard” room for two weeks, starting at the end of January; then our daughter started labor at 38 weeks, so abruptly needed to fly to NYC mid-January. When I tried to move the hotel reservation up 2 weeks, only a “deluxe” room was available-more expensive but fine for a 2-week stay. I spent some nights at the hospital and, later, at our daughter’s apartment (Grandma shift) and had no trouble sleeping during the day - very quiet and I grabbed 2 yogurts for later at the expansive free cold breakfast on the way to my room. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Fluffy towels and terry robes. Suds laundromat 1 block away. Excellent bakeries (Bien Cuit and Mia’s) and Exit 9 gift shop within 2 blocks. Did not try other local restaurants; we ordered room service once and it was fine. Room serviced every other day but more often upon request. Never checked out the exercise room. Only used Lyft; saw buses but didn’t use public transportation. We will definitely stay at the hotel on future visits to our daughter and her family.
