Die Rooftop Bar ist einfach nur Wow!!! Service und Zimmer super, nur in unserem Zimmer war das Fenster nicht ganz dicht und deswegen etwas frisch und lauter von draussen im Zimmer! Aber man konnte einheizen und sauber war auch alles! Super Lage, alles zu Fuß erreichbar und U-Bahn Station gleich an der Ecke. Supermarkt auch in unmittelbarer Nähe, alles Top!!

Das Zimmer war sehr hellhörig. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im 2.Stock und man hat alles gehört. Nachts wird in der Lobby laut Musik angemacht. Andere Gäste nehmen nachts keine. Rücksicht auf die schlafenden Gäste. Ohne Ohrstöpsel kann man nicht schlafen. Wir hatten auch drum gebeten, dass die Musik nachts leiser gemacht wird, wurde leider nicht berücksichtigt.

Everything was great. Beautiful room with excellent interior. Own coffee machine is top. And the air conditioning worked perfectly. The only thing was that you couldn't check in before 4! But you could store your luggage and start immediately with exploring the town. Even a punctual taxi service was offered - top (taxi was a little too expensive, but that's not the hotel's fault 😊).

Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Die Betten waren sehr bequem und die Zimmergrösse für New Yorker Verhältnis sehr grosszügig. Auch waren sie sehr sauber. Ich bin sehr heikel. Das Hotel liegt auch sehr Nahe an einer U-Bahn Station. Werde ganz bestimmt beim nächsten mal wieder dieses Hotel wählen.

Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen, aber dadurch das es in einer Seiten Straße liegt sehr ruhig. Die Zimmer sind klein aber ausreichend. Es war super sauber und die Betten wären super bequem. Leider sind die Zimmer sehr hellhörig, wenn man im Bett lag hat man den Aufzug gehört und wenn Leute am Zimmer vorbei gelaufen sind war es auch sehr laut. Die Dach Terrasse war das absolute Highlight, man hatte ein mega Blick auf die Stadt.

Das Kixby war der ideale Ausgangspunkt für 7 Tage NY zu Weihnachten. Metro-Eingang 20 m neben dem Haus, Kaffees, Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten fußläufig. Unerreicht: das Empire State Building als nachbarschaftlicher Orientierungspunkt (Tip: unbedingt auf das Rooftop steigen, auch wenn die Bar geschlossen ist). Zwischen 5th, 6th Ave und Broadway gelegen lassen sich alle viele Sehenswürdigkeiten direkt zu Fuß erreichen (Time Square, UN HQ, Grand Central, Rockefeller, Flat Iron) und der Rest per Metro. Modern und toll eingerichtete Zimmer, gutes Bett (Queensize hat uns völlig gereicht), gute Bettdecken und Kissen, grandioses Bad mit Dusche, fast immer Heißwasser ohne Schwankungen (1 Ausnahme in 7 Tagen), Föhn ausreichend. Aufmerksames Personal, perfekte Raumpflege, Kaffee, Becher, etc. jeden Tag aufgefüllt. Rezeption durchgehend besetzt, immer ansprechbar, immer hilfsbreit und freundlich. Kritik: Fenster sind nicht gedämmt (merkt man bei -13°C), Klimaanlage heizt entweder permanent bei 43 Dezibel oder punktuell mit 8 Minuten Pause (Stille) bei 53 Dezibel. Da schläft man nur wegen Jetlag. Wir haben gefragt und es kam schnell (15 Minuten) ein Haustechniker, der die Schaltung geändert hat, so dass wir nachts die Heizung ganz ausmachen durften. Perfekt! Aufzüge: Gibt 3, einer davon war außer Betrieb, die restlichen beiden ein Glücksspiel mit bis zu 5 Minuten warten und anhalten in allen Stockwerken, in denen aber niemand zusteigt. Das kann schon mal nerven...

We would definitely come back!
We had a pleasant and comfortable stay at Hotel Kixby! It was very clean, comfy beds with nice bedding, newly and stylish renovated, friendly staff and all the comfort you need for a few days in New York. Very close to most attractions. They have coffee and tea for free 24/7.

Das Kixby ist für einen Aufenthalt in New York hervorragend geeignet. Es liegt sehr zentral, man kann von dort aus überall gut und schnell zu Fuss hinlaufen oder die Metro nehmen, die auch gleich vor der Tür eine Station hat. Das Hotel ist neu renoviert und alles war sehr ordentlich. Das Bett war mega bequem und es gibt nichts zu bemängeln. Personal an der Rezeption war stets super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Rundum ein perfekter Urlaub in New York.

Meine Mutter und ich waren Anfang Dezember für 4 Nächte im Kixby. Das Kixby ist in Top Lage. Das Einkaufszentrum Macy nur 2 Minuten entfernt. Tolle Dachterrasse mit einem traumhaften Blick auf das Empire State Building. Das ganze Hotel ist in einem sehr sauberen, modernen und gepflegtem Zustand. Kaffee gab es rund um die Uhr, das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Zimmer wurde täglich gereinigt. Bei Abreise wurde für uns ein Taxi bestellt. Ich kann das Kixby nur wärmstens empfehlen. Sollte ich wieder mal in New York sein, dann werde ich definitiv wieder im Kixby übernachten.

The room is big, the bed was comfy, the bar view was great of the ESB, it was perfectly located. Staff were helpful and fun. The water choices everyday were incredibly helpful honestly! It was the perfect place to come home to everyday.

The property was nice and clean. The area around was expected for NYC, but it is so noisy and hard to sleep. You can hear every thing and I swear there was even construction going on at night. We have visited NYC multiple times and stayed in similar hotels, but never have dealt with noise like we did at Kixby. The location was great, with easy access to walk most places or take the Subway. The elevator was a pay and didn't work off an on while we were there.

Miranda we appreciate your review and although you noted that Kixby is nice and sparkling clean we are sorry street noise was an issue. Guests who are sensitive to the hustle and bustle of NYC can always request inside rooms on higher floors. We will investigate the comment about night construction sounds - this isn’t permitted in the city and we are unaware of any properties on the street that are violating that restriction. We do hope you enjoyed seeing the city and getting around from our convenient location.

Thank you for the review June. Like most urban boutique hotels our room size varies, although most guests think them a good size for NYC. The type you reserved is our smallest accommodation - the King and QQ rooms are all larger and you might consider booking those if you prefer a very generous space.

We had a great stay at the Kixby. Lovely hotel and very friendly staff. Our room was a great size and the beds were so comfortable. We were given clean towels every day and the room was always cleaned very well. There is a Coffee and tea machine in the room. On the 2nd floor you could get coffee, tea and water all complimentary at certain times of the day. Lovely choice of continental breakfast too. Great location and a great view of the Empire State Building from the roof top bar as it’s just round the corner. Would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again

Very close to Penn Station and MSG as well as Empire State Building, time square and theatre district. Great view of Empire State Building from the penthouse rooftop bar. Staff was friendly and the hotel is very clean and chic.

Tout était parfait, au 12eme étage, chambre 1219, vue sur ESB, grand lit super confortable, propre, simple mais efficace. Peignoir, gel douche, shampoing, sèche cheveux.. Ménage fait tous les jours. Magnifique Roof Top. 2 ascenseurs, un peu d’attente le matin avant 8h30 mais ça allait. Gourdes à chacun fournies, une pièce au 2eme étage pour les remplir d’eau plate ou pétillante, aromatisée ou non, café ou thé à disposition toute la journée. Emplacement idéal avec le métro à 20 mètre, quartier Coréen calme dans cette rue. Personnel adorable. Possibilité de laisser les valises gratuitement le jour du départ si on veut encore se promener. Empreinte bancaire sur ma carte de crédit française pour les 250$ dollars de caution non débitée. Si je reviens à New York je retournerai dans cet hôtel même étage même chambre :)
