I have stayed at several hotels in various areas of Manhattan and Brooklyn and I was not pleased with visiting NYC.and dreaded this trip.Iwas delighted with my stay @ the Beacon Hotel. This hotel fits all my needs while in NY. Parking garage sent to was way over priced. No bar or restaurant. The staff was wonderful, especially Michael at the bellhop station and the entire front desk.

We love the neighborhood and the hotel. The staff is great but the room was showing some signs of wear and tear. The seams in the wallpaper were pealing in some areas. The trim around the kitchenette had paint pealing. The fridge was a nice perk but froze everything before I realized it was turned up too high (or not working correctly). The bed and pillows are comfortable and clean and the climate control worked really well. Recommend that outlets/plugs or extension cords be added to both sides of the bed too but that's nit-picking. Overall, would stay again.

At first I was given a room with a great view but after a couple days realized I was hearing a back elevator till midnight starting at 6am. They were very nice about changing it to a large quiet room with no view but a definite upgrade. Nice staff and location

The hotel staff was great - very friendly and accommodating. Welcoming each time we walking in/out of the hotel. The area is very nice - it has everything we need from coffee to dining to subway access. Our room was comfortable and quiet. And I liked the fitness room! Happy to come back again!

Great location, a few blocks from the subway. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, but the bathroom was on the small side. We will definitely consider staying at Hotel Beacon again.

the Hotel Beacon is a fine hotel. the rooms are quite large for what one pays. perhaps double the square footage of similarly priced newer hotels. there is an unbelievable amount of closet space. the staff is super friendly. maybe their results are not quite up to the standards of 5 star hotels, for example they will clean bt not necessarily order the rooms by putting things back in their places. the drawback to the rooms is that the bathrooms are really small. the neighborhood is great for those who want to avoid the bustle of Times Square and midtown.

Property was in a great, walkable location. Right next to the Beacon Theater. Had issues with tv not working and thermostat not working. However, staff was quick to address the thermostat issue. Would stay again.

This property was a great location for Lincoln center and some theaters and Central Park, as well as Museum of natural history. It was a short walk for good shopping and slightly longer walk for lots of good restaurant options. We felt safe walking back at night and there is a great little bagel place a few short blocks north. The only thing that would make this place more perfect would be a nice cup of coffee in the lobby.

The kitchenette is well stocked and convenient although the Keurig is producing some lousy coffee. Bed and linens comfy. Window opens, which is a plus. Location is fantastic.

Everyone here is so incredibly kind. I felt at home even though it was my first time in NYC. The receptionists, the doormen, the concierge, the engineer. Genuinely the loviest people you’ll ever meet. ♥️ and the hotel room was clean, the bed was so soft. Highly highly recommend this hotel. Worth every minute I stayed. Could not recommend it enough. It’s the people that turn a hotel from a room into your home. And The Beacon has it.
