The parking was inconvenient. Coming in the back of the building felt weird and discomforting. There was also no proper signage for parking. You were unsure of the parking situation. In addition, The restaurant took forever to open and only one person working to serve customers while being a bartender. Very strange. The price of water $5! Unacceptable. At the airport it is $3 - so why $5? The staff was friendly however the small details can affect your business for repeat customers.

Good front desk staff. Comfortable beds. Good location with plenty of dining options if not too late. Garbage truck woke us up at 4:50am. Toilet starting running in night and did not stop.

Hi Robert, Thanks for leaving a review. I think we talked on your way out. I am sorry to hear your toilet was running. Our flappers deteriorate over time and it has since been replaced. As for the garbage truck, there is nothing we can do about nearby business trash pickups on our busy days. That being said, on less busy days and after our conversation I have been putting guests away from scheduled local trash pickups when I am able. Thanks again for your candor.

The Inn is a great spot for us to stay as we visit our son at Wesleyan. The young man at the front desk at check in was most helpful. He gave us a $10 voucher for the Tavern and told us about the family discount for stays while visiting Wesleyan students. Lisa, at the bar, was friendly and made us feel at home. We will definitely be staying again.

A bit overpriced, I get that it’s a nice location and old hotel but the inside is comparable to a Holiday Inn Express but they don’t have any included breakfast, staff was rude when I called down to see if they were able to bring up a DoorDash delivery (it’s fine that they wouldn’t, but they were rude about even being asked), and there aren’t even microwaves to heat something up so it made giving my kids breakfast a bit difficult. I personally won’t return just due to the price compared to similar hotels that offer more amenities.

As for a microwave, we are not able to put them in guest rooms per the Middletown fire code but we do have one behind the front desk and we are happy to heat up items for guests. Our room wasn’t clean
The hotel itself was nice, but our room was not great. It just simply wasn’t clean. There were spots of a sticky liquid on the bedside table. I also found several pieces of food (lettuce) under the bedside table. The bathroom floor was also very sticky.

Staff is very helpful, room was great and bed very comfortable. Being winter, the quilts on the bed were too inviting...hard to leave such warm comfort in the morning! Property is lovely. Convenient and delicious restaurant on site. Only think lacking was sinage for parking.

Great place for my business trip. Great location downtown near restaurants. I stayed at hotel for dinner in the Pub/restaurant. Food was good and service excellent.

Good location as this was for business, excellent front desk person at check-in (female, after 7p), clean attractive room, great mattress and dog friendly (though I didn't have my dog on this trip). Negatives - room was warm, ac was loud and the pillows were very uncomfortable - not a good nights sleep. A solid 3.5 stars.

No repeat visit from us
I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of this hotel. There was a layer of dust on all the lamps, baseboards, alarm clock, etc. Stayed two nights and our room was not serviced so had to ask for clean towels and more toiletries. Good location- Wesleyan and restaurants definitely within walking distance.

VERY DISAPPOINTING
We stay over the weekend from 7/8 to 8/8. The hotel was holding a wedding and with no regard for the comfort of other customers, the noise of drunk guests went through the night. The bathroom was not clear properly and the toilet was disgusting. The breakfast was served at the Tavern, with a very rude and unprofessional waitress. Very disappointing experience.
