Schöne Umgebung, falsches Zimmer
Hotel an belebter Umgebung mit vielen Restaurants und Shoppingmöglichkeiten. Nahe der Metro welche nur 2 Stopps vom Zentrum weit ist. Personal war immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Empfang sehr stilvoll und ansprechend. Zimmer war zweckmässig und sauber, leider etwas zu dunkel. Aussicht war schrecklich, ca. 20m zum nächsten Gebäude (haben aber auch andere Zimmer mit offener Sicht). Bad ist praktisch jedoch nicht "state of the Art".

Schönes Apartment in sehr angenehmer lage
Das Hotel liegt in South Yara direkt neben einer Zughaltestelle, die man aber nicht wirklich hört. In der näheren Umgebung sind einige nette Bars und Restaurants. Für uns, als Reisende mit Baby, war es die perfekte Unterkunft.

Super Appartments,inkl. Garage
Super angenehmes Appartment Hotel. Garage im Haus, daher Zugang aus dem Aufzug in die Wohnung. Ideal mit Gepäck, bei schlechtem Wetter etc. Appartment ideal für 2 -3 Personen. Räume nicht sehr gross, aber erfüllen ihren Zweck. Lage zum eigentlichen Zentrum von Melbourne, recht weit. Auto empfehlenswert, oder längerer Fussmarsch. Teure Zug- bze Busverbindung. Man benötigt ein Ticket für das man 18 $ Pfand zahlen muss, welche man aber nicht erstattet bekommt?!?! seltsame Regelung, vor allem für Touristen äusserst ungünstige Variante... Aber die in de Nähe gelegene Einkaufsrasse mit diversen Läden, Lokalen ist sehr angenehm und hat beinahe ein besseres Flair wie Melbournes Innenstadt selbst.

I prepaid two nights of parking but only used one night. Was told at check in and check out time that only will be charged as per actual usage. Later I never saw the refund of parking fee and was told they cannot remember such case. Welcome letter said everyday cleaning except weekend and full service at third day of stay. But third day no cleaning service at all and was told the letter was incorrect.

The two bedroom unit I booked for four days faces east and is also in the middle of a lot of other apartments that look into the room so it is sort of important for privacy and morning light to have the electric roller blinds working. Well they didn’t. The blinds in the bedroom either stopped half way or rolled out on the floor. Furthermore there were no instructions on how to use them. Windows filthy, TV in the second bedroom didn’t work because the cable had been pulled out, no shelf space in the bathrooms, stupid tiny mirror, kitchen so dark you can hardly see. Might sound like first world problems but this place has a bit of catching up to do. Shame as the location is really good.

Was a convenient location, close to trams, train station, & shops. Staff friendly & helpful. Everything in walking distance. The Republic just a stones throw away do great meals.

My recent stay at Puntill South Yarra was a pleasant experience. The staff contscted me before my stay to confirm my booking details, parking and to answer any other questions I had. When asked for a return call the receptionist would call back in a reasonable timeframe. Additionally the staff were extremely professional, courteous and well mannered. The receptionist went above and beyond by escorting me back to my room after checking out an hour earlier because I forgot a valuable item. I will definitely be staying here again.

The property was close to where I needed to be. The parking is an extra cost. The room was clean and tidy. There was a coffee machine as well as a full kitchen and laundry. Very well presented

We liked the property where the hotel was located close to public transport, shops, and eateries. The room was tired, dirty marks on the wall, the bathroom was good, the blinds were broken, and we were not able to open or close. The floor we were on had a dog that barked most of the time, either night or day.

Located half a block from the train and tram stop/station which was so convenient. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I strongly recommend against staying at this place. The short version: dirty, run down, uncomfortable and unforgivable. This place claims to be a 4 star property… it isn't. We've stayed previously at other Punt Hill properties, they were fine enough. South Yarra "Grand" was absolutely terrible, and needs urgent remedial work. In no particular order: - The kitchen sink didn't have any hot water. At all. Switch the tap to hot water, a small trickle of cold water came out. - The rooms are absolutely filthy, if our baby crawled around on the carpet for 5-10 minutes his hands, knees and feet became coated in grime. At the barest minimum the carpet needs a professional steam clean. - The bathroom was fillthy, the balcony was worse. - The kitchen lacked basic amenities and had broken cupboards. - the aircon doesn't reach the bedroom leaving it over warm and stuffy, the bed was awful, the bed linen uncomfortable. - the sofa was cheap, old, and scuffed to the point of holes in the fabric. - the wifi broke, reception said "nothing we can do". At best, this place needs to be closed for a month or two for cleaning, repairs, and to have all the furnishings replaced. Avoid.
