Top für ein paar Tage Melbourne
Saubere geräumige Zimmer (Kings room) mit renoviertem Bad. Gute Lage in st Kilda, 10 Minuten vom peninsula skybus. Sehr netter Leute, wir konnten schon vormittags nach inter kontinental Flug einchecken.

Freundliches, hilfsbereites und interessiertes Personal. Das Hotel ist sehr zentral in St. Kilda gelegen und verfügt über einen großen Parkplatz. Mit der Tram, die gegenüber dem Hotel hält, kann Melbourne-City prima erreicht werden.

Zentrales Hotel in St. Kilda
Das Cosmopolitan liegt zentral in St. Kilda. Cafes, Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind fussläufig in 2min erreichbar. Das Tram nach Down Town sowie der Luna Park sind ebenfalls in 2min erreichbar. Die Fahrt nach Down Town dauert 20 - 25 Minuten. Das Zimmer war geräumig, sauber und hatte alles was man braucht. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Im Hotel kann man Fahrräder für 10 Dollar pro Stunde oder 35 Dollar für den ganzen Tag leihen. Wifi funktionierte einwandfrei. Wer nicht mitten in Down Town wohnen will, dem kann ich St. Kilda wärmstens empfehlen. Der Stadtteil hat sehr viel Charme. Weiter können jeden Abend die Pinguine im Hafen von St. Kilda beobachtet werden.

Meine Bewertung bezieht sich auf die kleinste Zimmerkategorie. Diese ist für einen kurzen Aufenthalt ausreichend, es war jedoch kein Schrank und leider auch kein einziger Kleiderhaken (weder im Zimmer noch im Bad) vorhanden. Positiv ist allerdings, dass es einen Schreibtisch und einen Hocker gibt, sowie Wasserkocher und Kühlschrank. Die Lage ist - was Strand / Uferpromenade und Restaurants sowie die Verkehrsanbindung (Tram und Flughafenbus) angeht - sehr gut, durch Straße und Tram jedoch nicht besonders ruhig. Hoteleigene Parkplätze sind auch vorhanden. Das Personal an der Rezeption war freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit.

Our stay from overseas!
Overall we had a great stay here. We had three separate bookings. The first booking was a shock. If you are a family of three, do not book the family room. It was horrible! Small and not worth a 4 star rating. I complained straight away and we got an upgrade of course, we had to pay and we got a 2 bedroom studio which was great. I cannot believe they offer those family rooms very bad standards. The rest of our stay was great after we upgraded the rooms!

Stay was excellent. But i would seriously consider upgrading front of building with coat of paint. Entrance carpet dirty, hall carpet dirty. I am involved in refurbishing properties so i am aware how important visual affects are. Costs involved far out way the benefits of a cosmetic overhaul. Regards

I actually really enjoyed the place. It was a convenient 3 min walk from the tram station that can take you directly to the city in about 30 mins or so. St Kilda Beach is also walkable from the hotel so that's great. The room and bathroom was also very clean so it was comfortable. Hot water was also abundant so had no complaints there. The sink was small but that's only a minor item. The only issue was that any noise from the streets can be heard quite easily and some nights up to 2am. This noise mainly came from people talking loudly and walking back from the bars nearby. Also the trams crossing the tracks can be heard especially in the early morning before 7am. Otherwise overall a very good stay and enjoyed my time there.

This hotel was not what I was expecting. The pictures looked different to the room I had got. The furniture was such a mix match it felt like it had be thrown in there to complete the room. The smell wasn’t great and carpet just looked dirty. The shower was good but kept moving down and not staying in place. Not alot of room in the shower room to keep your stuff had to go in a bathroom cabinet. It was at a convenient location only 10 mins to the beach, near a tram line and lots of shops nearby. But it did get loud some nights and if your room is near the tram line way it is loud! Only good thing was the cleaners did their best to make the room nice. Overall wasn’t impressed with it at all!

Overall good
The front desk staff was awesome. A few things need to be looked at. The TV reception was sometimes terrible. The outside window was filthy. Housekeeping removed the card from the wall which turned off the fridge, so I had melted ice and warm drinks. The bathroom is a bad design. There is no counter space. If you need to sit on the toilet you need to sit diagonally as the toilet paper roll is in the way. The flush is ineffective. They don't do any recycling. When I asked about it they informed me everything goes in the garbage. Besides these few things everything was excellent.

Communication leading up to the stay was on point and all myqueries were responded to quickly. They require a $150 holding deposit which is higher than anywhere i have stayed in melbourne before and there was no communication for that until youre walking in the door and its the first thing you are greeted with. In room - the couch was dirty, no stained or general wear and tear but dirty. White pants no to white after sitting on it. And the floor although vaccummed left the soles of yoir feet brown and dirty, table was wonky and the chairs were broken not put back together property and creeked and groned. Bed comfy as ever so comfortable. Shower and bathroom decent size. Water pressure excellent
