We were 4 people that stayed at this hotel for one night. The good aspects first: The building is really beautiful and the location very good. The rooms were spacious and quite clean and the beds really comfortable. We went to the Spa which is quite well hidden in the basement and is really small, but we did enjoy it anyways.
Nevertheless, there were some aspects that made our stay not so pleasant. At first, the receptionist that was working when we arrived didn't speak neither English nor German very well, but at least she was quite kind. The breakfast buffet wasn't really good, the baked beans had no flavor at all and most of all, I asked them if they could offer some vegan options for breakfast (I.E. at least some soy milk or something like that, nothing fancy) but there were none.
The worst thing happend when I checked out: The receptionist insisted that I only paid for one of the two rooms via expedia and that I still had to pay for the other one. I even showed him an e-mail from expedia where it clearly stated that both rooms had already been paid in advance but he wouldn't let me go without paying and was quite unfriendly and uncooperative, so I paid the extra room because we were already late and needed to leave.
I called expedia the next day and they confirmed, that both rooms were already paid for in advance via my credit card. I sent them the receipt for the room I had to pay for at the reception and hopefully they will get me my money back. Really annoying!
