sehr gute Entscheidung
Wir waren zuerst etwas skeptisch, haben aber keine Minute bereut, dass wir dort waren. Der Service war sehr gut, alle MitarbeiterInnen waren sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück war gut und der Lunch gut und günstig.

Ein grosses Hotel in der Innenstadt von Louisville. Sehr sicher, da Security auf dem Parkplatz und in der Lobby..Es hat einen besonderen Charme, da die Ausstattung aus einer guten alten Zeit zu stammen scheint.

Nie mehr. War eines der schlimmsten Hotels in denn ich war. Richt muffelig und die Scheinwerfer der tankstelle nebenan sind direkt aufs zimmer gerichtet wo es keine möglichkeit gibt zum abdunkeln.

The hotel is used for multiple purposes. I appreciate that challenged people get the opportunity to recover here and get a second chance in life. But I would recommend a disclaimer about that fact. It seems that some staff and guests are recovering individuals which unfortunately seems to attract certain clientele... The staff was very helpful and friendly. But the building is very dated, is not saying too much. The smell in the hotel is oddly overwhelming of air conditioner products, I wonder what that covers...

Would not recommend. Would pay a few extra bucks to stay elsewhere. Dirty rooms, stains all over, shower looked awful. Walked in the doors and instantly felt unsafe.

This hotel was very frustrating to work with. First, I called to book a room and the staff member who answered the phone said "we don't do that. Go to Expedia" and ended the call. I booked a room for my mom through Expedia, and when she got there they wouldn't let her stay because she didn't have her ID on her but had all of the confirmation information for the hotel room. When I tried to get my money back from them, they of course sent me to Expedia who spent days trying to get ahold of someone from management. Once Expedia finally did get in contact with them and explained the situation, the member of management refused to refund my money. Before I knew about this, I had tried to walk in with my mom the next day to book another night, and they rudely refused saying they don't take walk-ins. I have no idea what the front desk staff actually do there because every request I had was met with them rudely telling me they don't do that.

Hello, Jade,I'm sorry to hear of your frustrations. It is true that guests must present a picture ID to check in. In Kentucky, state law requires adults to have a picture ID on them. However, the other concerns you raised do not reflect our policies at all. Our manager has not been contacted regarding a refund. We would love to know the days/times these incidents occurred with front desk contact, as we have audio and video of all front desk activity. We would be able then to pinpoint if one of our staff members actually behaved in this manner.

We traveled through many cities, many hotels and our best experience was at the Hotel Louisville. From the time we walked in and met Will working at the desk. We were a bit early for check in so we sat in the beautiful front salon while we waited. Our room was clean, beds were comfortable, showered was great with toiletries supplied. First appearance was a little shady, but this was an amazing place. They are very caring of people from all walks of life. I never felt unsafe. There was a live blues band playing on the Friday evening which was great. Then to our surprise we heard there was county music and line dancing in another hall on the other end of the hotel. We went, it was so much fun. Amazing country dancing. Highly recommend this place... Who need perfection, well if you do, the staff were amazing. Thanks again to Will.

The hotel is in the process of extensive renovations. It is a beautiful old hotel which I think will be amazing when done. Everything in my room was immaculate but worn except the bed which was very comfortable. I enjoyed my stay.

Do not get a room at this property. Our room we were given stunk, the bedding was filthy, floor looked like it had not been vacuumed. The “security” guy was running people off from in front of the property. I did not feel safe staying there or comfortable staying there with my family.

Hopefully this will help someone. Definitely on the wrong side of town. Mixed the homeless shelter with hotel and should not be. Felt extremely uncomfortable and scared to leave my room alone. I'm prediabetic and the so called breakfast was only sweets, store bought donuts and bagels with jelly. The coffee had only one kind, no decaf and only sugar, no substitute, and creamer in 2 unmarked bowls using the same spoon. I will definitely NEVER be back.

The continental breakfast always has hard boiled eggs along with the bagels, pastries, etc. And we always have decaf coffee with a full array of condiments. I apologize that it was not stocked properly at the time of your visit. Hotel Louisville does not provide any emergency shelter at this location. The shelter is several blocks away. We do, however, rent rooms for graduates of our many programs who are working jobs and saving money to get their own apartments. We also host a program for veterans sponsored by the Veterans Administration. We recognize that we are in an urban setting and that can be disarming to those not used to these types of areas. Therefore, we always have security 24/7 both inside the hotel and on the parking lot to help our guests feel safe. We strive to provide a good, clean hotel room at a reasonable cost.

This is our first trip to Kentucky and we were very excited about the hotel. Overall, it had good reviews. However as soon as we pulled up, you could instantly see that the entire perimeter of the hotel, as well as outside of the front doors and the parking lot Was completely taken over by a homeless camp. There were tents and sleeping bags and people not wearing clothing and doing drugs. We pulled into the parking lot and after scanning the entryway, quickly decided that we did not feel safe enough to stay here, let alone take our two very young children and stay the night. I sat on hold for 30 minutes with Customer service because the hotel said that we would have to go about canceling our reservation through Expedia. I never had anyone answer the phone and it was getting dark and we had a group of people that had come and we’re just sitting in front of our vehicle watching us. We left and found another hotel in a safer area

While we are in an urban neighborhood, please note that the homeless camp you saw was not inside our parking lot, but rather is on the rear of the property. We are working with Louisville Metro police to enforce our city ordinance which forbids street camping. However, we do provide security guards 24/7 at the Hotel both inside and in the parking lot in an effort to help our guests feel safe. We strive to provide a good, clean hotel room at a reasonable cost. We will share your concerns with our security staff to re-enforce their need to keep our property clear.

Although I paid for the stay, my wife vetoed as soon as we pulled up. READ READ READ. This is not a standard hotel. It is a charity run halfway house.

We do, however, have some extended stay rooms for people who work and are saving their money to get apartments. Our Hotel Rooms are on separate floors from our extended stay rooms. In our hotel rooms, we strive to provide a good, clean room at a reasonable cost. Although we are in an urban setting and we recognize some persons are fearful of urban settings, we do provide security guards 24/7 both inside and on the parking lot to help our guests feel safe.

IT IS A HOMELESS SHELTER!! I found out from the locals that this place is a homeless shelter. It was dirty, the light fixture didnt work, the bathroom fan grinds, cigarette burns on the counter, MOUSE POOP IN THE ROOM, dirty hair dryer and electrical sockets, almost no electrical outlet space for me to charge my phone (had to unplug a lamp), toilet leaking, room smelled weird. Now, every single one of the staff members was great. They were sweet and kind and helpful beyond measure. BUT WHEN I BOOKED ON EXPEDIA THE LISTING SAID THREE STAR HOTEL. Not a HOMELESS SHELTER!! Sketchy people hanging aroynd the parking lot all the time, too. I want my noney back, a full refund!!!

The first aspect of the hotel is old. In its day it must have been a good hotel but it needs an improvement in its appearance. The reception and common areas needed renovation and a little more care in their appearance and cleanliness. The breakfast was very little variety: industrial pastries and tangerine or apple fruit. There were no cold meats, eggs or hot products. There was also no variety of milk, water or possibility to prepare infusions or other hot drinks. The room also had an old look but was clean. The sheets and towels were clean. Towels were changed daily. The cable TV did not work during my stay. Even so, they did not give any discount on the price. The cleanliness and appearance of the room, as well as the location of the hotel and the availability of parking included in the price make it an affordable option for the city.

Normally I don't complain, but really. No a/c, It was hot, no tv, hotel was going through renovation. Refused to give us a discount. Continental breakfast was skimpy. Cleanliness I give a 9. Room was good except bathroom floor was sticky. Did not sleep very well. We had to go out and buy a fan for the room. I would give this place time for completion before staying here.

It is obvious that the hotel in its prime was spectacular. The property is in need of a major upgrade. For the money and what we needed, it was fine. The neighborhood around the hotel has seen better days but that is up to the City of Louisville to change that. I would rate it safe but pay attention.

As you mentioned, we can't control the City of Louisville, but we know the urban setting is disarming to some people. Therefore, we provide security guards 24/7 both inside and on the parking lot in an effort to help our guests feel safe. We hope you come visit again sometime.

It was a vintage hotel, but in general was kept in decent condition. The main thing that was disturbing was all the homeless people hanging around.

I can appreciate the fact that they are running a ministry, but they fail in running a hotel. They don't differentiate between hotel guests and the residential. I was expecting good hotel service, but it was not there.
