When I came in a bit early to check in to my room with my daughter, the senior white man rudely asked, “Can I help you?”
I asked if we could check-in and he loudly exclaimed, “No! The rooms are still being cleaned.” I was about to leave with my daughter, when another white couple arrived to check-in. The senior receptionist suddenly changed his attitude and simply asked them for their name and where they’re visiting from. He assigned them a room, so I decided to ask again.
He impatiently told me, “Listen! Let me finish up here first.” He ended up assigning us a room by the laundry room and where the staff congregates. Although there was nothing wrong with the room itself, the ice machine across from our room was very disruptive. Besides the older white individual, the rest of the staff was very kind and gracious to us during our stay.
