Das bei Ihnen gebuchte "De Luxe Zimmer" war ein Mini-Raum, vielleicht 15 - 16 m². Im Badezimmer war noch nicht einmal ein Haken, um etwas aufzuhängen. Toilette und Dusche ebenfalls sehr klein, nicht getrennt voneinander und zum "Schlafraum" nur durch eine Schiebetür getrennt. Absolut schrecklich und das bei diesem extrem hohen Preis, den Expedia dafür berechnet hat. Aussicht auf eine Wand mit irgendwelchen Geräten. Vorhänge schlossen nicht richtig, da teilweise defekt. Duschschlauch beschädigt. Total überteuert von Expedia angeboten.

Tolles Design Hotel an sehr guter Lage
Design-Stil, sehr lebendig mit coolen und beliebten Bars. Die Zimmer sind hell, modern, geräumig und praktisch eingerichtet. Lärmisolation könnte etwas besser sein, ansonsten alles tipptopp. Die Lage ist sehr gut für Shopping und Entertainment. Tube ist recht gut erreichbar.

Unser Traumhotel in London
In den Zeugnisferien haben wir uns nun schon im zweiten Jahr hintereinander das Hotel Sanderson gegönnt. Der Urlaub fängt schon beim Emfang an. Das Hotel ist toll eingerichtet, die Zimmer sind hervorragend.

Idealer Startpunkt um London zu erkunden. Nur wenige Gehminuten zur Underground Station Oxford Circle. Insgesamt ein gelungener Kurztrip, nicht zuletzt dank des Hotels mit freundlichem Personal, gutem Service und ausgezeichneten Restaurant.

Ultramodern Design Hotel in the center of London
We enjoyed our stay in The Sanderson Hotel from check-in to check-out. The staff were very friendly and helpful with all our requests. The room was spacious and lovely. The convenience of the location in the center of London allowed us to walk nearly everywhere. We will definitely stay again.

Designhotel in Traumlage mit tollem Service
Unser Zimmer war bei unserer Ankunft leider - oder Gott sei Dank - nicht geräumt. So nahmen wir für die erste Nacht ein Zimmer einer unteren Kategorie und wollten dann eigentlich auf unser ursprünglich gebuchtes wechseln. Schon da wurde uns das Frühstück für den gesamten Aufenthalt erlassen. Nach der ersten Nacht bekamen wir dann zu unserer freudigen Überraschung aber ein Upgrade in eines der Lofts mit Terrasse. Beide Zimmer waren neu renoviert und somit in einem Topzustand. Auch im kleineren Zimmer gab es viel Platz für Kleidung, Schuhe und Koffer. Der Service im Lobby-Bereich war unheimlich aufmerksam und für jeden Wunsch offen. Wer es an der Bar nicht so laut mag, dem kann man nur die Purple-Bar empfehlen. Auch dieser Raum ist einfach nur ein Hingucker und hält eine gut ausgestattete Bar bereit. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls ohne Beanstandungen: Mein Mann musste nicht auf Nutella verzichten, den Obstsalat kann man sich selbst zusammenstellen und es gibt unglaublich gute Smoothies. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit im Sanderson!

Durchschnittliches Hotel
Der Empfang im Hotel war freudlich aber unpersönlich. Die Räumlichkeiten wurden nicht erläutert, z.B. wo frühstücken?, etc. Das gebuchte Standarddoppelzimmer ist sehr schlicht, komplett in weiß gehalten. Das verglaste Badezimmer sieht zwar stylisch aus, ist aber eigentlich nur als Einzelzimmer zu empfehlen. Es hat keine Tür zum Schlafbereich. Man hört und sieht alles. Hervorzuheben ist die excellente Reinigung des Badezimmers. Obwohl, bedingt durch die wirklich unpraktischen Designarmaturen alles vollgespritzt war, war das Zimmer am Abend tiptop gereinigt und aufgeräumt. Die Flure und Aufzüge des Hotels sind sehr dunkel und nur schwach beleuchtet. In der Bar wurde ich leider in Begleitung meiner minderjährigen (16!) Tochter nicht bedient. Zum Shoppen ist die Lage des Hotels sehr gut. Nächste U-Bahn Station allerdings 10 Minuten entfernt. In unmittelbarer Nähe sind sehr viele Restaurants und Bars. Es gibt viele Möglichkeiten auch außerhalb zu frühstücken.

Es hat uns sehr gefallen in diesem Designhotel. Für 4 Nächte fehlte uns aber der Balkon resp. ein Fenster zum öffnen. In der Lobby kommt man am Wochenende voll auf seine Kosten - viel Betrieb an der Bar. Am ABend ein bisschen zu dezente Beleuchtung

Nicht beeindruckt
Das Personal ist durchaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Dennoch hatte ich den Eindruck, dass es sich um nicht ausreichend geschultes Personal handelt. Immerhin reden wir hier von 5 Sternen. Unser Zimmer war belegt, als wir eintraten. Wie es dazu kommen kann, ist mir schleierhaft. Allerdings hat uns dies nicht erschüttert, zumal wir als kompensation ein Upgrade erhielten für die nächste Kategorie. Außerdem erwartete uns eine wirklich gute Flasche Weißwein. Was für uns unerträglich war - andere Gäste mögen dies anders empfinden - ist die fehlende Möglichkeit, die Fenster zu öffnen. So ist man gezwungen, die Klimaanlage ständig laufen zu lassen, die Folge ist eine Erkältung. Uns ist das Problem zwar bekannt, wir haben hier vor der Buchung nicht ausdrücklich danach gefragt. Ich empfehle dringend, in solchen Fällen einen Hinweis in die Hotelbeschreibung mit aufzunehmen. Ansonsten war die Ausstattung des Hotels originell, aber nicht umwerfend. Die Deckenhöhe der Flure ist bedrückend niedrig. Das Frühstück ist unterdurchschnittlich. Für jüngere Leute mag dies Hotel der Hit sein. Es roch auch im Zimmer und in den Fluren ständig nach Essen.

I had no VIP treatment. They charged me for an upgraded room which was small and filthy when I entered it. Trash was still in the bins and water marks from the bathroom as if someone used the shower. The bed was made and not crumpled otherwise I would have been out of there. It was convenient to where I was going but I won’t be staying here again.

The receptionist was very rude when we arrived. We noticed that all customers arriving were being helped to their rooms but we were directed to go alone. Same thing with luggage, we hauled our luggage up ourselves but saw other customers’ luggage being delivered to their rooms on our floor. The customer service was cold and unwelcoming, we felt like we were unwelcome guests at a distant relative’s house, not in a hotel for which we reserved and paid for rooms. Unfortunate situation considering the rooms were fun and the location is great.

The door staff and concierge were lovely and so helpful that was the best bit about this stay! The hotel itself is dated and tired, in fact really grubby in places, whilst the room was of good size it was terribly basic and not at all appealing! From my “upgraded” room on the first floor the music from downstairs was unbearably loud and when I asked to move they told me I could if I paid a large extra rate for a suite. The reception lady basically didn’t care and made it clear. Even though other members of staff had said it was quiet and not much occupancy. The corridors are very dark and I assume to mask the fact that the carpets and paintwork are all pretty gross. Very disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend at all.

My check-in started with a dispute over the room I had reserved. The slightly arrogant gentleman wanted to allocate a standard room…fortunately I had my Expedia confirmation for the superior room I had actually reserved. He then insisted on charging a £100 per night deposit, God only knows why ! On my second day, I returned to my room to change at 6pm, but housekeeping had not been there and my room was unattended. The ultra-modern room was cold and clinical. Check-out was fine, but I won’t be returning.

The Sanderson is an amazing hotel in the perfect location. I have stayed at the Sanderson four times now and every time is outstanding, the staff at the front desk is so friendly and so accommodating. The rooms and stunning and very spacious for London. The hotel bar is very nice. Already have my fifth stay at the Sanderson booked and will continue to stay here for as long as I have business in London!
