Die Lage ist super und das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Bei der Sauberkeit gibt es noch Luft nach oben (Haare im Bad, Mülleimer nicht immer geleert, dreckige Handtücher,…). Zudem hat es Abends immer richtig ecklig nach Abfluss im Zimmer gerochen.

Wer hier übernachtet darf nicht lärmempfindlich sein… Wir hatten ein Zimmer im Erdgeschoss gleich hinter der Reception. Der Lärm der U-Bahn war so laut, das der Heizkörper vibrierte und klapperte. Ich musste mein 2. Kopfkissen dahinterklemmen um das Geräusch zu reduzieren. Auch die Nachbarn über uns waren gut zu hören. Wir sind um 15.30 angereist und trotzdem war eines der beiden Zimmer, welche eigentlich um 14.00 bezugsbereit sein sollten, noch nicht parat. Die Damen an der Reception waren recht unfreundlich und haben kaum gegrüsst. Ich würde dieses Hotel nicht mehr buchen.

Die Zimmer sind sehr klein. Sie nennen es "Cosy Double", aber zu zweit ist es unmöglich. Speziell das Zimmer meiner Freundin war in Wirklichkeit ein kleines Einzelzimmer. Wäre das Bett entsprechend kleiner gewesen, hätte sie zumindest ihren Koffer offen liegen lassen können. Dort gehen wir nicht mehr hin!

Given that this property purports to be an “upscale 4 star hotel,” I was appalled by my ‘Classic Single’ that would have been more aptly named, The Harry Potter room under the stair case! It was tiny! Seriously, I’m sure prison cells are probably larger! I estimate it to have been around 3mx2m (9x6ft) there was just enough room for a small single bed, and a bit of room in front of the door. The only place to put my bags was between the bed and the door, meaning it couldn’t be opened from the outside, which probably breaks all sorts of safety codes. There was nowhere to place things, and I had to unpack my wheeled bag on the bed, leaving dirty marks. There was one tiny window about 30cm (1ft) square. Even the tiny shower had nowhere to put the towels, I had to throw them off the bad onto the floor. The toilet roll holder was broken, skew and the cover laying on the floor. There was no lift direct to my floor, I had to struggle through a narrow construction in a corridor and negotiate stairs, with 2 heavy bags. When I arrived at the door, the code I had been given didn’t work and I had to call reception to sort it out. He couldn’t get the code to work either and had to go to fetch a pass key… a total shambles, a ridiculous room for the price, and an entirely unpleasant stay. 4 Stars?… in a third world country perhaps! ‘Upscale’…? I’m not sure by what low standard that reflects. I have stayed at dozens of London hotels, The Rove, is quite definitely a low point.

Guest who had been in our room previous night and someone from reception banged on our door late at night demanding entry to get "something" they had left in the room. Turned out to be an electrical adaptor. Although they said it was just the former guest, it was also someone from reception at our door. Completely unprofessional and scary. Needless to say, we didn't let them in. Rooms are VERY small and stairs near elevators are very unsafe and dangerous. Would not stay here again. The only positive is how close it is to Paddington Station.

Excellent clean room with a king sized bed very near transportation at padington. The only downside is if you park for free on the street overnight fr9m the evening to 8am out front and leave even a tiny crack in a window you can and will lose clothes or belongings you may have left casually overnight...like jackets etc. Very helpful concierge for guests. Rooms were very clean and uptodate. Lots of transportation around the city just steps away. Its good and bad beingy so close to padington station - tourist spots there will stay open a bit later but definitely are not the good representative options around London. Very good option.

Terrible feelings with our deal with Rove.
N Dear manager. I am very disappointed of the customer services handling in your hotel. I have sent some proven flight cancellation details, which shows that our flight was cancelled due to a war in Israel. But no one seemed to care. All I got was very laconic answers such as “we can’t cancel this order” or other laconic forms of unhelpful, disconnected answers. Unwillingness to help people who are at war has nothing to do business. But it has everything to do with not acting as human beings to each other. I don’t see any difference between COVID-19 and emergency situations like war in terms of cancellations. This is no secret that an active war is happening right now in Israel. The least you could do is let me delay my stay without additional charges, and then we would both have won. Even after contacting Rove for the third time (!!!), you guys didn’t come with a satisfying solution, you picked the “sorry, no can do” approach which is the easiest. Personally, I am really offended. I see Rove hotel’s answers and treatment as anti-semitism. There is no justification for behavior like that in a modern world. Simply disappointing, unacceptable and I will never recommend doing business with Rove.

Stay elsewhere.
Bathroom was so small you hit your head on door sitting on toilet. The bathroom door is also see thru and does not lock. The twin bed next to queen sinks in and is a fabric spring like a hammock. Not an actual bed. No guest outlets to plug anything in at all in the room. Housekeeping did not do the room one day and we had no clean towels. There were stains on the bedding and pillow cases. They were clean, but stained. The only thing this hotel had going for it was the location to the train station.

Udemærket hotel
Udemærket hotel, men man kan høre undergrunden ret meget (selv på 2.sal) og seng/dyne var ikke særlig god. Koden til vores dør virkede ikke og personalet kunne ikke løse det - så vi skulle låses ind manuelt på vores værelse af personalet hver gang vi skulle ind, hvilket var lidt irriterende. Hotellet har en god central beliggenhed tæt på en stor station (Paddington).

Great place and very nice personnel
The hotel is perfectly place by the Elizabeth tube line and the Paddington train station, with lots of restaurant and cafe options. The room was clean and neat. The personnel was very nice and Roberto, the hotel manager, was extremely kind and helpful when we encountered an issue and had to make some changes. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a nice and convenient place to stay in London!

If you're looking for a deluxe hotel with lots of amenities, look elsewhere. This, however, is a perfect little place for when you're in town for a few days to see friends and some theatre. Rooms are small, but not at all unpleasant, with new immaculately kept facilities. Staff at check-in/out were very helpful and courteous. Would recommend making the dropped sections of the floors in some of the hallways a bit more visible. It was dark, and I stumbled over a small downward step.

Rove Hotel is very well located, just a few minutes walk from the Paddington so it's very convenient for a short visit to London, especially when coming from or going to Heathrow. This is the first negative review I ever left, for anything, but I did feel that it's important to provide feedback. Firstly, rooms are extremely small, I am aware there are different sizes, but I have been to plenty of hotels, from budget to other end of the spectrum and I have never had a smaller room, it's impossible to open a suitcase fully on the floor. Also, rather than in the bathroom, the sink is in the actual room... Secondly, more importantly, the heather in the room was broken, and there was a draft coming from the window so it was extremely unpleasant. I complained and while the staff looked at the radiator, response was "I'm sorry, it's not working and we're fully booked, no other rooms are available". When I said that it's unacceptable and I wanted my money back and I would go to another hotel, (un)surprisingly, an empty room all of a sudden was available (apparently, there was another person meant to check in to the other room and they would then give my room [with broken heating] to that guest, it was either a lie or the other person would spend the night in freezing room, I am not sure which option is actually worse look on the hotel). Overall, it was very disappointing and dishonest.

What you described is not typical of our usual standards and we thank you for bringing it to our attention.Our maintenance team fixed the heating fault of your original room. I can assure you that despite the hotel was fully committed, this room was not re-let to other guests overnight. In fairness our single rooms are the smallest room available, and I appreciated they are quite compact. Very clean property. If you arrive before check in they will store luggage for you so you can explore the area. The only downfall is there is no plug near the mirror making using any hair tools a challenge.
