Owner and place was great, OYO not so much.
Nice little place, clean and presentable. Confusion between OYO and hotels.com caused a bit of disruption to the trip. The owner made us feel welcome and helped resolve the situation.

Nice room but a bit on the cold side
The proprietor appeared poorly prepared and so changed the room we were given. This was because ‘she didn’t know the time of arrival’. To me this shouldn’t matter. I didn’t know I was supposed to provide that info. However she should be ready for the earliest possible check in time (3pm). Not happy to leave personal details on a registration form that is left on the counter for other guests to see. Not securely kept information. (Even if it’s a requirement for fire safety).

Spam acommodation! No money back! Don't reserve
I prepaid for the room. I called the lady in charge to receive the key. She told me "there is not reservations under your name so you don't have acommodation. We also are fully booked". I was waiting outside with 5 luggages for more than 1 hour. She didn't even come outside to welcoming. With no more explanations she asked me to leave the place! Terrible customer service! Guests from the place came outside smelling mariguana and alcohol. I never received my money back! I will never recommend this disgusting place and service.

Do your research before booking
The location worked really well for us. On arrival we let ourselves in via a security box on the side which was fine. Didn't think it was appropriate to have the names of people staying on a piece of paper on the front door. The room was OK but the bathroom wasn't particularly clean. The lock on the main door was loose and my husband had to mend the folding door to the en suite to enable it to close better, couldn't fully close it as it didn't fit. On our second night the fire alarm went off at 1 am, all guests trooped outside but as the owners were not on site, another guest had to phone to inform them of the problem. The response was that someone must have been smoking in a room. One of the guests stopped the alarm from sounding, and as far as I know, no one came to check the system. It was still showing up as a fault in the morning. The house has been altered to make more rooms and the soundproofing is non existent. Also our room door had a large gap at the bottom (internal door not a fire door) so if there had been a fire, the smoke would have easily got into the room. All in all, not good, try and find an alternative.

tiny room at the top floor
we nbooked a 4 person room but it was not really a room, more an attic. You can beraly stand up straight in the room watercooker wasn´t clean, the curtains don´t cover the window so we woke up really early every morning the bathroom is a floor down, hard to wash your face because there´s hardly any room to get your face under the tap everything is really dated and dusty. the owner said she´s getting the place redecorated and that´s seriously necessary

The worst place I have ever stayed in. Bed mattress was old and very uncomfortable. Room was dingy, mobile reception really bad so couldn't check emails or make phone calls. Hotel website said there would a complimentary simple breakfast but when I asked the host, she said the information on the website was outdated and there was no complimentary breakfast. Old fashioned furnishings too so would not recommend this place to anyone

Run down, in need of a face lift but does the job
Needs some TLC and re modelling. Friendly staff, although the incense smell is rather over powering. Great location for the O2, good bus routes and great cafe and pub nearby (The Scullery and Royal Standard)

headboards on beds filthy, carpet not in very good condition, hairdryer not working, no iron or board,no running water at one point. would not use this guest house again. reminded me of contracter hostel.

I chose this hotel as its close to greenwich and has parking, unfortunately there's only parking for 4 cars so I had to park around the corner on the street. On the plus side the room was spacious, big bed, refrigerator, and the owner friendly. Rates can vary from day to day depending on availability so you might get a bargain. The area has a few pubs and restaurants.

the worst place ever, nasty, wifi poor, no bathroo
“DO NOT STAY HERE - DISGUSTING” lived like a immigrant, can hear the water running from other rooms, wifi really poor, can not do anything, smelly, pictures not right, loft room no private bathroom their, you have to walk down in front of every body, was not happy about this, should never ever stayed here. the worst place in the world, The "Hotel" looks not too bad from the outside, however, as soon as you get in, the smell of damp hits you. The chinese lady who i'll assume is the owner was friendly enough, transpires she's also a Solicitor, odd combination there, a hotel owner & solicitor. Attic room was absolutely dreadful. Communal toilet & the worlds smallest shower, with only a thin curtain to prevent other residents seeing you. The carpets and walls are in desperate need of attention. There were two bottles of Evian water on the bedroom table, however, both seals of the caps had already been turned so i'll assume this was tap water. Inside the kettle looked like it hadn't seen tea for about 20 years so there was no way I was using that. Electrical sockets? I'd say you run the risk of electrocution, all loose wires, brackets hanging off, etc. We were offered breakfast at £11.95. God only knows where that was going to be cooked but judging by the state of the hotel, I cant imagine the kitchen being any better. I suppose you get what you pay for. Room Tip: There are no good rooms, just don't book this hotel

Very expensive for the quality
Definitely not 4 star quality - I think that was generous. The room/property itself was quite old and could have done with refurbishment. But I do understand that sometimes it's the charm of old London houses that guests might like. Not to my personal taste though. The staff member was quite friendly, and explained the rooming situation as soon as I arrived. There was some issue with the room description, although it said 'Private Bathroom' it didn't actually specify that the bathroom was on a different floor. The "entrance" to this bathroom (which housed the sink) was made private by a shower curtain only (didn't give me much privacy to brush my teeth) - then a separate room for toilet and another for shower (with doors on each). It was very cramped. In the room itself there were quite a few cobwebs, and it had quite a stuffy smell to it, many stains on the carpeted floor, most of the cups given were dirty - and the kettle had LOADS of calcium bits floating in the bottom. Should have really been rinsed out or cleaned beforehand. There was also no running water to my room (despite hotel description stating all had kitchens or taps), so I was given a plastic 2L water bottle instead. However, there was no seal on it - so it must have just been refilled and was not actually clean new water. Quite a shocking experience since i was expecting 4 star quality.

I was disappointed and fair to say discussed at the state of the hotel. 1st there was no car parking (witch I was told there was) this is one of the reasons for booking this hotel, 2nd the money I paid £160 was a complete rip off, I travel all over the country with work and have stayed in some nice places and also not so nice places. The reviews on this place looked OK, but when we arrived it was nothing more than a bed sit. 3rd the carpets in the room were also discussing to walk on in bare feet (ie after getting out of shower, 4th there were some sort of insects that kept on appearing, 5th the amenities were lets just say non existent. I could go on and on but I just don't have the time. Needless to say I am wounding to carry on using your site to book my hotels. Please don't get me wrong I'm not posh or snobby or the likes, but I just expect a decent room for the money I paid

I found this hotel fulfilled all my needs..a short bus ride to the 02 arena and various other London landmarks. The staff were an absolute pleasure,friendly and informative and really couldnt do enough to make me feel welcome......the rooms are tidy and fresh....as cheap/reasonably priced guest houses go......this is as good as any i have found in many years of visiting London......and will be my only port of cal in the futre......

Only booked this hotel because we couldn't book into a hotel nearer the O2 as they were all booked. Old hotel and needs updating, beds comfortable and all the facilities were there but everything was so old and ad hoc. Only 2 parking spaces but at least they were free! It could do with a clear out, as it was so untidy everywhere. Wouldn't stay again unless we really had to.

Would stop again, if we get the opportunity.
Visited when we was going to the O2 Arena. Lovely place we stopped in Room 7 and it had the most comfortable bed in most of the places we have stopped in. Breakfast is now £11.95 each but actually was worth it. Lovely owner and was very helpful including getting Taxi's etc. Would stop again if we are going to the O2

we were down in London due to a family bereavement in woolwich Ideal location for dealing with banks ,funeral directors etc The staff could not have been more caring and helpfull. Hotel was clean ,warm, and central to the area we needed to be in. I would go back if need be she also has a gatwick hotel if flying from there.

Read the veviews before our stay so wasn't expecting luxury.... Was pleasantly suprised. The room was in need of a little TLC But it was comfy and clean. We were upgraded free of charge so this was a bonus! The bed was extremely comfortable and the locality of the guest house was perfect for us. I would definatley stay here again.
