We had a great week long stay here. We didn’t have a noise problem. There’s a cute black cat that lives in the hotel. Very nice area with tons of restaurants and pubs nearby. Only complaint is the stairs and there wasn’t a deadbolt on the door. A lift would have honestly made the stay perfect. The shower had poor water pressure as well but the water was always hot.

Misleading Hotel Information
I’m very annoyed about the whole experience. This has been a misleading experience from booking. The photo bears absolutely no relation to the room I was shown the £75 is not mentioned. I have been harassed by the hotel for the key (a card key) and will send it. I had to find another hotel at considerable additional expense as I did not feel safe. I have told them I will post you key but I would suggest that it is an absolute lie that they only have one key for the room.

We stayed at this property for almost a month. Overall our stay was OK and the staff were lovely. The building is so different from the pictures on the listing that they might as well be from a different hotel. The building is tired and suffering from a lot of very badly bodged DIY fixes almost everywhere you look. The tiling looks like it was done blindfolded and the general standard of the finish was like it had all been done in a rush by someone who didn’t really know what they were doing. Our initial room (4a) was very dark and dingy, poorly laid out and all the walls are covered in freestyle Artex artwork. The windows looked directly into a service space on the roof with filthy ducting and building detritus. The toilet, sink and shower were also blocked so we were moved into a much nicer room facing Rivington Street. Although the room was much lighter, neither of the 2 windows would close properly meaning any noise outside (like the nightly 11pm bin Lorries) was very loud in the room. We weren’t too bothered by this but this is a very noisy area esp. at the weekend so be prepared. The kitchen was fine and having your own laundry facilities is a bonus. The cooker hood was missing most of its buttons, the microwave lcd screen wasn’t working and both rooms had an absolute bare minimum of cooking and eating implements so be prepared to improvise. There is a very pungent smell in the foyer when you open the front door and this did not shift for our whole stay.

Tres bien situé. Vous avez droit à deux papiers hygiéniques par jour. Un nettoyage du condo une fois par semaine. Trop petit pour 6 personnes. 4 chaises comptoir pour manger, dans une chambre. Les deux autres n’ont pas ou manger. Si vous êtes 5 et plus. Difficile et trop petit. Pour 4 excellent. Sinon globalement notre séjour s’est bien passé.

This hotel is small and clean and I like to stay here more often. It is close to my office in Shoreditch. I had a good sleep but the area is busy. It is not good for people who cannot sleep. There are restaurants and if you open window you can hear noise. Windows are double glaze but I like the window open to sleep with fresh air.

The employees were extremely friendly and helpful, however, the room left much to be desired. Firstly, the room had no interior lock, which was concerning when an employee entered my room 5 minutes before I took a shower. Secondly, there appeared to be mildew in the shower, and only around 30 seconds of hot water before it went cold. I had to turn the shower off for a couple minutes to get another 30 seconds of warm water. Thirdly, the sheets had multiple stains on them, even though they did appear to be freshly washed. Lastly, when I was there, there was also a cat which repeatedly urinated and defecated on the interior entry mat. I'm not sure if this cat lived there or was a guests, but the entry way consistently smelled bad.

Dear GuestYou have made so many complaints and yet you did not go to the reception even once to make any one complaint. The hot water comes continuously hot, if you change the setting and you must have learned it yourself. Secondly we had changed the shower silicone just before you checked in. There was no mould as you claimed. Thirdly, sheets had no such marks and we always use new linen if the old one get damaged by the guest. Finally we do allow pets in the hotel as we are pet friendly hotel and you can see before you book. You booked a small studio apartment and wanted a free upgrade. We would have given you free upgrade but we were fully booked. We have banned you from staying with us in the near future.Yours SincerelyManager

Beds comfort, hot shower, friendly reception, etc. The only down side was the noise outside (bars) so don’t expect a peaceful nights sleep a Saturday night!! Maybe worth investing in secondary glazing! Otherwise we had a comfortable, lovely stay.

Dear LindaWe appreciate your comments about our hotel. We have double glazing windows and if you open it the street noise.We are in the middle of the Shoreditch restaurant area and many people are walking around making noises.Kind regardsManager,
