Ein wunderschönes Areal mit direktem Blick auf den Areal. Ruhig einen Tag Zeit nehmen, alles auszukosten: Kolibri-Wiese, Palmen-Trail, Futterstelle für Vögel direkt vor der Terrasse, Jacuzzi... Alle sind unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir waren hier, als wegen Corona die Gäste fast vollständig ausgeblieben sind. Trotzdem wurde für 6-8 Touristen der gesamte Betrieb vollständig aufrecht erhalten: Pools, Restaurant, Bar, ... Die Eigentümer waren regelmäßig vor Ort und haben sich nach uns erkundigt. Obwohl wir eigentlich nur eine Nacht bleiben wollten, haben wir auf vier Nächte verlängert und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Toller Auslick!!!
Die Anlage ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber trotzdem absolut empfehlenswert. Wir hatten eine JuniorSuite im Haupthaus und waren sehr zufrieden. Der Blick auf den Vulkan ist atemberaubend. Die Anfahrt zum Hotel über eine 2 km lange Privatstrasse ist ein (positives) Abenteuer. Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist in Ordnung. Wir würden diese Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen

Tolle Einzellage!
Nette Resort mitten im Wald! Schon die Auffahrt von der Straße ist spektakulär und ca. 2 km bergauf. Oben wird man eine einem phantastischem Blick zum Arenal Vulkan belohnt. Das Hotel ist von der Ausstattung eher einfach und in die Jahre gekommen, aber sauber. Fazit: Wer Ruhe & Entspannung such und sich in der Natur wohlfühlt, ist hier goldrichtig.

Fantastische Aussicht und schlechtes Essen
Der Blick auf den Vulkan Arenal ist atemberaubend, die Anlage im Grün einer ehemaligen Farm hervorragend. Aber!: das Frühstück ist schlecht, halbwarm allles mit Wasser verdünnt, sogar der Kaffee ist nicht empfhelenswert. Das Abendessen ist ebenfalls von geringer Qualität ganz besonders wenn man die gepffefferten Preise bedenkt. Der Tequila Sunrise ebstand ebenfalls mehr aus Eiswürfeln. Nur begrenzt empfehelenswert.

Leider eine Enttäuschung
Wir hatten ein Chalet gebucht, aufgrund der schönen Aussicht. Leider war während unseres Aufenthaltes schlechtes Wetter und wir schauten auf eine Nebelwand. Dafür kann ja niemand etwas. Aber die Zimmer sind total veraltet, die Möbel abgesessen und man fühlt sich einfach nicht wohl. Hier muss dringend etwas getan werden. Am Abend waren wir im Restaurant und wurden erneut enttäuscht. Unfreundliches Personal und Fertigessen für einen stolzen Preis. Die Qualität des Essens war nicht gut. Man sollte definitiv außerhalb Essen gehen!! Weil schlechtes Wetter war, wollten wir die Sauna nutzen. Hier handelt es sich um eine Holzbank in einem gefliesten Raum und beheizt war sie am Abend auch nicht. Die Anfahrt war sehr abenteuerlich, es geht 2km steil bergauf. Aber wir fanden es ziemlich witzig. Der Pförtner war auch der Freundlichste der ganzen Lodge. Leider war die Arenal Lodge auf unserer dreiwöchigen Rundreise die mit Abstand schlechteste Unterkunft und das schlechteste Essen. Vielleicht macht die Aussicht einiges gut, wenn nicht schlechtes Wetter wie bei uns ist. Wir haben uns jedenfalls nicht wohlgefühlt und sind eigentlich nicht anspruchsvoll!!

Super Lodge Hotel mitten im Dschungel
Super Hotel in der Natur! Viele Tiere in der Umgebung. Super freundliches Personal. Feines Frühstück. Kein Wlan in den Zimmer, aber bei so einem Hotel nicht weiter tragisch. In der Lobby und im Restaurant hatte man dafür super Empfang. Jamacal Tour auch zu empfehlen mit super guides aus der Region. Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen. Wenn ich wieder nach Costa Rica komme, werde ich wieder dieses Hotel buchen.

Größere Anlage mit tollem Blick zum Vulkan
Wir haben für 3 Nächte ein Stanardzimer gebucht und wir hatten Glück, denn wir bekamen ein kleines Apartement mit Kochnische ( mit Kühlschrank) und sep. Schlafzimmer. Von der kleinen Terrasse hat man einen herrlichen Blick zum Vulkan, wenn er sich nicht in Wolken hüllt. Die gesamte Anlage ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, was man am Einrichtungsstil merkt. Aber der Zustand der Möbel und Anlagen sind i.O. Die Sauberkeit in den Zimmern und in der gesamten Anlage ist hervorragend. Es gibt einen kleinen Pool mit Blick zum Vulkan und 2 Jacuzzis. Außerdem gibt's in der Anlage einen Garten und einen eigenen kleinen Rainforest-Walk (scheint aber selten begangen zu sein).

schöne Anlage für kurze und lange Aufenthalte
Eine sehr schöne Anlage mit über 50 Zimmern bzw. Chalets. Soweit wir es beurteilen konnten, haben die meisten Zimmer eine schöne Aussicht auf den Arenal und einige auch auf den Arenalsee. Jeden Tag wurden geführte Walks im Dschungel angeboten, der Dschungel-Pfad geht direkt in der Anlage los. Darüber hinaus bestand die Möglichkeit zum Pferde Reiten. Beides ohne zusätzliche Gebühr, im Übernachtungspreis inklusive. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker, obwohl vielleicht etwas zu wenig. Die nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeit war ca. 15 km weg. Kaffee konnte man auf dem Zimmer machen. In der Anlage halten sich einige Tiere auf (Nasenbären, Tayra, viele Vögel). In der Nacht konnte man im Garten bunte Frösche suchen. Der Service war einwandfrei.

The thing that is unique about this property is it's view of Volcan Arenal. I first visited Arenal Lodge approx 16 years ago. My last visit prior to yesterday was 14 years ago. Upon my arrival at the front gate yesterday yesterday, I was looked at and then "ignored" by the gate guard as he turned his back to me for couple minutes without saying anything. I didn't know if I was supposed to get out of my car or not. He finally turned around and asked me to verify my name. I then began my trip up the winding road to the lodge and after 15 min or so I realized that I did not remember how long the drive into the lodge was. And the road was incredibly poor with holes and dislodged cobble stones. I was thinking how easy it would be for my rental car to become damaged in some manner because of the condition of the road. I honestly felt like I should have been in a jeep or a truck. There was only one other patron there on the day of my stay and they were put in the "same" chalet as I was which eliminated the privacy that I could have experienced. The rest of the staff was polite and helpful for the most part. Breakfast in the morning was marginal but suitable. For what I was charged for a night's stay after the issues that I experienced really diminished the wonderful memories that I have thought about in the past 14 years since my previous visits.

Muy buena propiedad en el área de Arenal. La dueña muy buena persona y atenta a los huéspedes. Si buscas un lugar bien estilo Costa Rica y para conectarte con la naturaleza te lo recomiendo. Puedes ver diversidad de aves por el jardín y áreas aledañas. El lugar está en una montaña con vista al volcán Arenal si no está lloviendo o nublado pero igual vale la pena. Está como a 20 minutos de la Fortuna.

If you’re looking to be in nature this is the right place to be. You can definitely enjoy the fresh air a good walk in the morning with the sound of the birds. Enjoy a good swim in the pool with a breathtaking view of the volcano. The staff is very nice.

The view is amazing! Quiet and woodsy. Well worth the short drive from town to get out of the congestion and noise.

It was remote with beautiful grounds. Horseback riding onsite was a highlight of our vacation. Friendly staff and good included breakfast. A bumpy, twisty 15-minute drive to leave the property so we only went in and out once a day.

The staff at the hotel was very friendly, and the food was excellent. We really enjoyed the Casado with chicken, one of the local dishes. The beef meals were also very good. Desserts, the coconut flan and brownie with ice cream, were fantastic. Exceptional view of the volcano and there are tons of birds on property. We really enjoyed seeing them when eating and around the pool. Rooms were clean with air conditioning, and lots of amenities.

The lodge is in on the mountain, so be prepared for a 2 km drive up to the lodge on rough road. It is 35 min from Fortuna Town, so account for additional time. The room itself was very good and views from the lodge are stunning. Breakfast was ok for vegetarians. Overall a good hotel, nice pool and jacuzzi.

We stayed in the older part of the hotel and while the view was amazing, the walls were paper thin. You could hear complete conversations of the parties in the other rooms as well as any additional noises. The property is very close to Hanging Bridges Park and is within 20 minutes of any other food or items you may need.
