It is an old building that has had a face lift, so it does feel clean. It was cheaper than being downtown La Crosse which was very much appreciated.

I wasn't so concerned about the inside of the hotel, everything was excellent, clean and the staff was exceptionally nice. But the outside is deceiving. When we pulled up we were greeted by 2 homeless people and a prostitute who was eyeballing us with a smile. The outside of the hotel looks dingy and rundown, not too presentable. But once we entered we were greeted at the desk with a very bright, professional employee. Once settled and checked in we decided to try the family restaurant next door. The staff was exceptional along with the food; very nice and accommodating to have next door. (But that is a seperate review) We went back to the hotel to finish getting ready to leave for our concert. As we were ready to leave, we saw the same prostitute bent over with her pants down far enough to see most of her thong underwear. WOW! What a way to ruin ones appetite. Even so we still we still enjoyed our stay. Oh and a big note, the beds were very comfortable!!

For the 2.5-star hotel and the price we paid everything was PERFECT! The personnel, the cleanness, the parking, the proximity to Mississippi, the fireplaces - -inside and outside, the pool with jacuzzi, and the food in the morning! If we are ever in La Cross, we surely will stay there again! Highly recommend this hotel!

Thanks for the Early Breakfast!
The staff was pleasant and efficient. The reason for the lower mark with comfort was because the lighting in the room was minimal. The availability of fruit and coffee before the breakfast opened was very much appreciated as I left at 4:30 AM.

I attempted to make a reservation on Expedia for Country Inn & Suites on 1/29 for 2/2 & 2/3. The search engine changed the dates to highlight a lower price on 1/31. I had no reason to be in LaCrosse on 1/31. When I realized the bait-and-switch on 1/31 I immediately called both Expedia and Country Inn & Suites and was charged for the stay regardless.. Going forward I will used Agoda to book stays and stay at the Super 8 Wyndham

The no cancelation policy is expedia's own policy and Country Inn and Suites has to go by the policy.We appreciate the feedback and will use it to fine tune our operations in the hope that upon your next visit we can exceed your expectations.
