Super close to one of the few malls in Iceland, with a cinema and arcade. Close to the Bonus supermarket. Easy to reach buses to go to Reykjavík for activities. You can easily walk to spots to see the ocean. (Not a beach) Easy check in and check out. There was a leak in my room and the front desk handled the issue elegantly. We didn’t need to switch rooms since we checked out earlier anyways. Super kind staff, as a front desk worker myself I can only recommend their service ☺️

es ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für die 5-tägige Kurzreise, leider fahren alle Autos um diese Jahreszeit mit Spikereifen, so dass der Lärmpegel des nahe der Stadtautobahn liegenden Hotels zu groß war. das Personal ist sehr nett,Frühstück ist gut, Zimmer alles in allem sehr gut. Das Land muß man gesehen haben!!!! .....die Anfänge der Erderstehung-mächtig gewaltig

Ruhige Lage, außerhalb der Stadt
Das Hotel liegt außerhalb von Reykjavík, jedoch in einer ruhigen Gegend, obwohl die Landstraße in der Nähe verläuft. Leider ist die Verbindung zur Stadtmitte nicht die günstigste. etwa 8 Gehminuten zur Bushaltestelle Smáralind entfernt, zur Linie 2 mit der direkten Anbindung zur Stadtmitte (etwa 30 Min.). Mit dem Taxi sind es etwa 10 Min., doch muss man mit 10 € rechnen. Bei Touren wird man allerdings vom Anbieter abgeholt.

Für Geschäftsreise oder mit Mietwagen ideal
Etwas abseits in einem Industriegebiet gelegenes Hotel mittlerer Größe. Mit Mietwagen ideal, ansonsten ist Islands größte Shopping Mall mit einer Bushaltestelle in gut 5 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Zimmer sind ausreichend groß und gut ausgestattet mit Flachbild-TV (inkl. deutschen Programmen) und Wasserkocher. WLAN funktioniert perfekt. Es wird ein verhältnismäßig gutes Frühstücksbuffet angeboten. Während ggf. eine größere Reisegruppe hier untergebracht ist, wird es u.U. etwas eng. Trotzdem ist's innerhalb des Hotels ruhig, wenngleich nachts die daneben liegende Hauptstraße etwas laut ist. Fenster können aber ohnehin nicht geöffnet werden (nur Belüftungsgitter). Kleines Manko: Zimmer wurde nicht jeden Tag gereinigt, obwohl dies eigentlich hätte so erfolgen sollen. So lagen dann abends die Handtücher noch immer auf dem Boden und es gab deren keine neue. Insgesamt verhältnismäßig gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis für 3 Sterne. Ich würde jederzeit wieder dieses Hotel buchen.

Kleine aber günstige Zimmer mit gutem Frühstück
Die Einzelzimmer sind relativ klein und schlicht ausgestattet, aber sauber. Positiv fällt der gute LED-Fernseher mit mehreren deutschen Programmen auf. Exzellent ist vor allem das reichhaltige und gute Frühstücksbuffet (allerdings erst ab 7:30 Uhr, was für Geschäftsreisende u.U. spät ist). Personal ist großteils asiatisch. Die Lage ist laut an einer vielbefahrenen Straße, und sie erfordert m.E. einen Mietwagen, sofern man nicht innerhalb einer organisierten Busrundreise hier übernachtet. Zu Fuß kann man innerhalb einiger Minuten die Shopping Mall Smaralind erreichen, wo es dann auch eine Linienbus-Haltestelle gibt. Das Hotel ist seinen relativ günstigen Preis jedenfalls wert, und ich würde wieder dorthin gehen.

Wir können das Hotel weiterempfehlen
Das Personal war freundlich. Die Zimmer waren groß und das Bad war ebenfalls groß. Das Frühstücksbuffet bot täglich eine reichliche Auswahl. Das Hotel liegt neben eine Schnellstrasse. Deshalb ist es in den Zimmer etwas laut. Wir hatten uns schnell daran gewöhnt.

Insgesamt zufrieden
Leider kamen wir mit einem sehr späten Flug an, so dass wir erst gegen 0.30 Uhr am Hotel waren. Die späte Ankunft war dem Hotel mitgeteilt, die Rezeption ist jedoch nur bis 23.30 Uhr besetzt. Es hat dann etwa eine Viertel Stünde gedauert, bis wir jemand erreichen konnten, der uns hereingelassen hat. Ansonsten, verkehrsgünstig gelegen, Smaralind-Mall in Laufweite. Abends jedoch völlig abgelegen. Service sehr freundlich und bemüht. Frühstück Recht gut.

Hübsches Hotel. Ruhig+sauber. Sehr günstig gelegen. Zum Keflavik eine Viertelstunde. Für einen Kurzaufenthalt zu empfehlen
Hotelteam und Service waren sehr gut. Handtücher gabs jeden Tag frisch, leider aber im Bad keine Haken zum Aufhängen. Das Frühstücksbuffet war ausreichend, nach einer Woche aber etwas langweilig - die ersten beiden Tage gab es kleine, frisch aufgebackene Semmelchen, die sehr gut waren und auch eine Art Schwarzbrot, dann nur noch Toastbrot. Unser Zimmer lag zur Straße hinaus, die morgens etwas laut war. In die andere Richtung hinaus wäre es aber auch nicht viel besser gewesen. Das Industriegebiet, in dem das Hotel liegt, ist etwas trostlos, da wir aber den ganzen Tag unterwegs waren, hat uns das nicht weiter gestört. Gleich in der Nähe des Hotels ist ein "Inder", bei dem wir sehr gut gegessen haben.

Catarina was wonderful she was able to assist us with questions and our early check in arrival. There is also a wonderful Italian pizza place around the corner ate there 4 times during our stay. Tour pick ups do not pass by there :( we had to pay for taxi pickups and drop offs

After a stay in downtown Reykjavik, where parking was a struggle after every outing... we chose to find a hotel with free parking for our 2nd Icelandic stopover. Nice quiet twin room with generous bath & walk-in shower. Easy drive to town, NW for sightseeing, or E to airport. 24/7 desk opened the bar for consolation drink when we struck out with Northern lights and returned after midnight. Breakfast buffet was reasonably priced and adequate, not noteworthy.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The front desk staff was the most helpful and friendly of any hotel I’ve ever stayed. They were like a personal concierge. They called for transportation and made numerous recommendations for food and activities. They were also happy to answer our many questions.

Comfortable and good service
Room was clean and comfortable. It was small but that is usually the norm in Iceland, and the room had all I needed so nothing to complain. Free parking, convenient location for those with cars. 24hrs front desk which is appreciated, service was very good and breakfast had a good selection. I will definitely come back

We were a little surprised at how outdated the room was. It seemed clean, but all the furniture and fixtures were very old. There was a pipe sort of thing protruding from the wall in the bathroom that they had wrapped with duct tape. Breakfast was really good! The staff was nice.
