„We stayed for 10 days in this lovely cottage and enjoyed a real home. We had a very warm welcome and Gale showed us quickly around the house. We didn't realize then, that the cottage is equipped with everything one could need for a holiday. We loved the beach chairs and umbrella, the kitchen was fully equipped, we made a nice bbq one evening, had breakfast on the lanai eating the fresh fruit from the farmers market and the wonderful kona coffee, which we brewed with the french press available. ...

„Great stay, lovely location! It is a little bit outside of the centre up the hill so you are likely to get rain if there is any! Only complaint was that some gardening needed to be done at 8am one of the days which was very loud and disruptive, the internet was extremely slow and patchy and the rules listed are quite strict, especially regarding charges for losing items such as towels or kets and excess dirtiness. This wasn't an issue for us fortunately.“

We especially liked the veranda and outside shower and the comfortable bed for a good night's sleep. The kitchen is fully equipped. Puako is also highly recommended as a base for participation in the Ironman 70.3, for great excursions and a quiet stay. „Beautiful spot but could use a review by owner. Having a single mirror in only the bathroom made getting ready by all guests tough and the kitchen could benefit from a drip coffee machine but not a deal breaker since they provided a chimex with hot water pot. The welcome of Kona coffee and fruit was a very nice and kind touch. Would stay again.“

„Large apartment and basically nice facility. Apartment had only one queen bed, although we had booked a king bed. There was no air conditioning available. So we had to sleep at about 30 degrees Celcius (90 degrees Fahrenheit), which was anything but relaxing. So these were the 4 worst nights on our 4 week Hawaii trip. An alternative room with air conditioning was - on repeated requests - although promised, but never offered. A compensation was not done. Therefore, we can not recommend this ...

„Super schöne Lage (hatten Unterkunft direkt am Ozean), grosszügige Raumgestaltung. Schade gab es keinen direkten Zugang um im Ozean zu schnorcheln. Aufpreis für Klimaanlage finden wir für eine solche Unterkunft und in dieser Klimazone übertrieben. Auch die sehr hohe Reinigungspauschale ist für uns nicht nachvollziehbar. Für uns sind dies versteckte Kosten, welche eigentlich im offiziellen Preis enthalten sein sollten (würde aber natürlich Kundschaft abschrecken).“
