Great place with wonderful cottages and fantastic staff for everyone who wants to relax away from the crowds. However, if you like to walk on the beach and swim in the sea this is not the best place to go. Internet could be stronger.

Super offenes Hotel! Hervorragende Küche und wunderschönes Ambiente für jegliche Mahlzeit (Frühstück, Mittagessen oder Abendessen)! Ruhige, kleine Anlage, mit tollem Pool! Einen Strand kann man nur bei Ebbe erkennen, aber wer die Insel erkunden will, und lieber ruhig den Abend im Hotel ausklingen lässt, ist im the Mud mehr als nur bestens aufgehoben! Wir haben das Hotel mehr als nur genossen und können es zu 100% ( ohne rot zu werden) weiter empfehlen

Schöne Unterkunft am falschen Ort
Eine schöne Unterkunft im rustikalen Stil, leider ist die Lage nicht so gut. Der Strand zwar direkt anschließend aber sehr schlecht und teilweise vermüllt, nächstgrößerer Ort erst in 5km.

The hut and bathroom were spacious. The hut comes with it's own seating area and hammock, mosquito net and air conditioning. There is a pool, but there are steps to the ocean directly as well. The food in the restaurant is delicious and the options for breakfast are quite varied. As the huts are set against the side of a hill part of the main path is a bit steep. I have read comments about roosters, and I have seen them on the premise, but I never heard them when I was inside my hut or sat in front of it.

The only reason we’d rate this place 2/5 are due to the chickens that start roaring at 4-5am in the morning NON-STOP. We stayed in the treehouse E1, which is right above the ostriches and greenhouses, which I believe have some chickens and roosters in there. They start crying around 4am and by 5am they’re non-stop cuckoo dooing like puppies in a locked cage crying to be let out. It’s really disturbing and loud, it goes on until noon and you don’t get a restful sleep. We’re also right next to the highway so the car sounds are also pretty loud during the day; quiet at night. Such a shame because it’s a such a cute little treehouse, with a small far and beautiful cafe and restaurant. They provide toothbrushes, towels, umbrella, everything which is nice. But thank god we only stayed 2 nights, the chickens were just unbearable. The treehouse is not bug proof. There is A/C but lots of gaps on the floors and around doors. So you really need to use the mosquito net when you sleep: My other minor complaint is that it’s literally a lock and key, kinda annoying. And lastly, you will need to rent a motorbike, nothing not even the atm/money exchange is within walkable distance. The staff are nice and they have such cute uniforms. Restaurant food is limited but the ambience is very nice. Breakfast also quite limited.

We stayed here one night because we were taking a ferry from nearby pier. It was perfect for this. Pool is cute and refreshing. Beach not really useable for sunbathing or swimming but excellent for strolling and exploring. Water is shallow very far out. Restaurant food is good. Rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable. The area lacks much in walking distance. Not a lot of grocery stalls or restaurants but it is a fishing cove not a beach resort area so that’s to be expected. Fun to visit. It’s quiet and reserved on this side of island.

I wanted to have a Thai experience. This one is quirky and rustic. Very nice room by the beach. The staff was amazing! Always there to help you with whatever you need. Great breakfast and food. They have a great variety on the menu. A taxi will be needed if you need to get out shopping.

Hobbitboende i två dagar
Väldigt mysiga runda små bungalows alldeles vid vattnet. Trappan ner till husen från receptionen och restaurangen är väldigt brant och jobbig, det bör man ha i åtanke vid bokning. Pga covid serverades frukosten på rummet vilket vi tyckte var en sanitär olägenhet med tanke på att den sk kryddlådan med ketchup mm stod framme hela förmiddagen på vår veranda, sen använder dom samma dagen efter. Brädorna i terrassen vid poolen är i dåligt skick och fanns en del hål. Hotellet ligger avsides från stan, så åker man inte moppe så är det taxi som gäller. För långt att gå.

A unique resort in Samui
Is one of the very few places on the island that is eco friendly and we loved that. The bungalows have an amazing design and the food is great. We loved going kayaking in the small golf around the resort. Staff very young and friendly.

The Mud is really beautiful, the stuff is great, special thanks to the young man at the reception, cannot remember his name. Everything is clean and works well. The food is delicious. Enjoyed the live singers at night at the restaurant. It is child friendly. The swimming pool is clean and the sea is just in front.

Tophotel vriendelijk personeel en heerlijk eten
Fantastisch hotel, prachtige luxe kamers met uitzicht op zee, leuke extra’s zoals knuffels en verse koffie die je zelf moest malen. Lekkere hangmat en daarnaast slippers badjas badhanddoeken klamboes. Restaurant was echt top, verse vis van de BBQ en goed betaalbaar. Ontbijtbuffet heerlijk met leuke details zoals de BBQ broodrooster en elke dag op een houtvuurtje werd wat anders gebakken. Heerlijke currys. Prachtige bar boven met heerlijke plofkussens en hangnetten. Zwembad was klein maar fijn met een leuke poolbar waar je in het water een drankje kon drinken aan de bar. Personeel super vriendelijk! Enige minpuntje voor ons overigens niet echt is dat zwemmen in de zee niet kan door de lage waterstand en eb en vloed. Met de taxi ban je in 15 min op een ander prachtig strandje. We hebben genoten!

This was a great hotel with a perfect price point. You will have to travel a bit for the stunning beaches of Ko Samui but this hotel is close the the ferry and can rent a scooter for about 250 baht a day, I will defiantly be returning in the future.

Exceeds expectations, great value for money
We came with 4 kids and stayed in the family room which was was above our expectations - very big, decorated, clean and comfortable. Staff was amazing, the restaurant is good, the kitchen is opened and very clean. The beach is not for swimming which is the main con. There were painting lessons every day which was great for the kids. Wifi was not stable in the room

beach not accessible nice pool with a bar but there's never personnel to serve you at the bar very desert, weird ambiance nothing around for at least 3km, it's like being in the middle of a highway and there's no service at all at the hotel apart fromthe restaurant personnel not too service oriented

Interesting, but not for the sea and beach
We had beachfront villa and it was clean and nice, the view is not so amazing, if you want to entry in the sea this place is not for it, because of the re-flux / flux here doesn't exist a beach. Also because very close to the house is the pool sometimes is not so quiet. When I reserved the prices was ok because was 50 % discount. I think that is the correct price. At the new prices I think you can find something with beach and sea. The WIFI wasn't worked very well. It is a little to far from everything. You can use only taxi.
