High-end hotel for a high price
The rooms are of good quality, so is the bathroom. My balcony was to the quiet botanical garden which was very nice. Rooms on the other side of the building facing the road are loud. Breakfast buffet is good, the choice is just OK. Very helpful staff which prepared an extra early breakfast for me when I was leaving to a national park trip --> thank you! The only weakness I noticed was the weak Wifi in the room. Paying for an executive room I would expect a stable, strong signal

A good hotel worth to stay
I've stayed at Fairway for 9 nights and I really enjoyed it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The facility is in a good shape, so are the rooms. The location is central, there are two shopping malls in close distance. Bit disappointing were the loud corporate parties which always went till late night but also here the staff was helpful and intervened in favour of us guests. The only room for improvement is the breakfast. For such a hotel I would expect a better quality.

Nettes, gruen gelegenes Hotel nahe der Innenstadt
Super freundliches Personal, hilfsbereit und offen. Das Mittelklasse-Hotel bietet alles, was den Aufenthalt lohnt: Gute Kueche und kleine nette Bar, einen Pool, ueppige tropische Natur. Der Abhol- und Bringservice vom/zum Flughafen klappte einwandfrei und kostet insgesamt 30 $ (per Taxi eine Tour bis zu 45 $). Die Zimmer sind sauber, wenn auch noch aus der Mitte der 70er Jahre; ein Zimmersafe ist vorhanden. Das Zentrum ist auch zu Fuss in 10/15 Minuten zu erreichen. Kampala bietet einige Sehenswuerdigkeiten, die man aber in 2 bis 3 Tagen besichtigen kann. Aber in der Naehe gibt es einige Orte, die man besuchen sollte, z.B. Jinja an der Quelle des Weissen Nils und einige kleine Nationalparks. Einfach im Hotel nachfragen oder sich eine Tour per privatem Taxifahrer organisieren. Die Menschen in Kampala sind sehr nett, und ich fuehlte mich sicher. Aber es gilt die eiserne Regel: nicht allzuviel Materielles zur Schau zu stellen und auch das Geld sicher am Koerper verwahren; am besten im nur einen kleinen Betrag dabei haben (das Tagesbudget + kleine Reserve). Dollars und Euro warden akzeptiert, auch in Geschaeften oder von den Taxifahrern. Die sind aber wie immer sehr teuer. Ansonsten gilt: seid freundlich, offen gegenueber den Menschen und akzeptiert den afrikanischen way of life, und pocht nicht auf unsere Art zu leben und zu organisieren. Dann werdet ihr viel Spass haben. Und abschliessend sei gesagt, dass das Nachtleben sehr abwechslungsreich ist.

Nice Hotel
A very nice hotel that offers good value for money. This hotel is located near the city centre. The staff very courteous, friendly and obliging. The food excellent. The rooms modern, very clean and well presented. The only negative is that the sheets, though clean were stained. I will definitely stay here again.

The staff are the greatest asset, very friendly, helpful and caring. The hotel also responds promptly to requests and feedback. They could do better with environmental concerns such as waste and water by not automatically washing towels every day and taking soap that is still usable.

This hotel has definitely a soul. It has a nice garden and swimming pool area , but it is extremely noisy , nearly every night with music , songs and people laughing and shouting , which is nice , but should be hold away from the rooms area .This noise till sometimes 2 am and more !! The other bad point is the very poor quality of the beds . When talking about over 100€ per night , we expect a good quality bed. It is a pity because it has a true charm .

My stay at Fairway hotel was very good. I liked the outdor activities. The room design was beautiful however it’s old and Water was leaking from the bathroom to under the bed and the floor of the sink. I informed the front desk about 3 times and they finally sent someone to fix it. But it didn't help because the water kept leaking every time we took a shower. To avoid making complaints, I moved to another hotel. Other than that leaking problem, it's a good hotel that I recommend.

I have stayed here a few times this year and really like the property. Service is excellent - probably the best in Kampala - Sarah, Christopher, Phillip, Sharon and Florence deserve a special mention. Pleasantly surprised to get a room upgrade at check-in. I wasn't expecting much but was absolutely blown away by the level of service from nearly everyone at this property. From a tangible overall commitment to guests to some small but brilliant touches from individual staff members the level of service and attention to detail was better than I have seen anywhere in Uganda - and I have been here for more than 10 years, Bravo Fairway, I have already booked my next stay.

Lovely and comfortable
This was my first stay in Kampala, and Fairway was a really nice part of my stay. The grounds are beautiful and provide a little fresh air as a break from traffic exhaust on the streets. Very pleasant and professional staff - my room was really well kept. The restaurant was quite good and convenient to have on the grounds. Very reliable wifi too!

Never again . Very noisy at night , wedding party , people talking load in the corridor until late 2 or 3 am Breakfast correct but no have place for seat when it is raining bcoz it is out door dinning place . Have only one bottole of water for 2 person , the door of batheroom need to be repairing , the general standard is not matching of the price , better to staid in the Hilton for simular range of prices .

I enjoyed my stay at the Fairway. The rooms are very well designed and had lots of room. The staff are very friendly and became my friends. I was happy to see they were all wearing masks and ensuring I was safe.

A very well-Located boutique property. The traffic in Kampala is absolute madness, so I was glad my hotel was in a central location. The staff are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable.

I booked an executive room and was very happy with the product. The rooms are quite spacious and very quiet as they face the inner courtyard. I recommend the first or second floor in this block as you get a bit more sun than the ground floor. The location is fantastic and walking distance to many restaurants, although they have an Asian restaurant on site which is also very good. Staff are very friendly. The hotel is large so there are some nice areas to sit and read. I would only recommend improving the furniture by the swimming pool, otherwise it was a great stay.

The story of how this hotel came to be was very interesting to me, I really enjoy staying in properties that are more than just a business. The staff are AMAZING!! They are very well trained, polite, and helpful. The Asian Fusion Restaurant near the lobby was my best meal in Kampala

The executive rooms are very well designed, nice and spacious, the garden view from the balcony is quite relaxing. The Asian Fusion Restaurant was probably my best meal in Kampala, a beautiful ambiance and really great food. You can see that they are still doing minor upgrades so looking forward to my next stay!
